I'm keen to see if the Buccaneers can bounce back from their lacklustre performance last week in New Orleans to take care of Atlanta at home. I'm pretty confident we'll come away with the win, but I'm keen to see the fashion we go about doing it in.

Some big games this week. Both Primetime games look good. Steelers @ Brown and Cowboys vs. Eagles both are huge games for their divisions. NE @ NYJ will be interesting to see if Cassel can get a win. Indy @ Minnesota looks like a good macthup aswell.

Looks like a fun week of football.

Chicago and Carolina is an interesting game given the teams' week one successes.

I wish Giants-Rams wasn't the marquee Fox Game. Chicago-Carolina is clearly the best non prime-time game all week. Although maybe it will be fun to see St. Louis self-destruct.

I look forward to the 49ers-Seahawks game. They have struggled in Seattle recently but they are really banged up. The 49ers secondary is pretty decent and they're going to be going up against the seahawks 5th and 6th stringers. Of course they have no run game either and their special teams wasn't very good either. If the 49ers can limit their turnovers unlike last week they will win easily. Don't forget that after committing 5 turnovers that they lost by 10 points only (and only 1 turnover yielded points for the opposition)

I like your picks only i'd pick indy over the vikings, and im not sure at all about the cowboys and ravens losses tbh. I like my own saints game, they should be able to win it and I just hope NASN is gonna show either chi-car or min-indy for the early game (the one at a proper time for me). GEAUX Saints (2-0 >>>>> 0-4)

Re: Vikings. Did you watch the Colts' DL get gashed against Chicago? The Vikings have a significantly better OL and a MUCH better RB and backup RB.

Re: Cowboys.
A) I'm an Eagles fan
B) The Eagles looked awesome
C) Barber may be limited
D) The Cowboys' offense runs through the air. Asante Samuel, Lito Sheppard, Brian Dawkins, Sheldon Brown et al will have something to say about it
E) **** the Cowboys
F) 28-24

I like the Vikings this week too. Peterson should be able to run all over the field. Manning could torch the secondary if the D-Line doesn't create some pressure. The Williams have to love what they saw from the interior Colts line.

SIGNS POINT TO GRIESE STARTING FOR BUCS
Posted by Michael David Smith on September 10, 2008, 12:09 p.m. EDT
The early indications are that Brian Griese will start at quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.

PewterReport.com is reporting that Griese got the starter reps at todayís walk-through.

Starter Jeff Garcia, who is questionable with an ankle sprain, was not at the practice, instead staying inside the training room for treatment on the ankle, and he didnít address the media as he usually does on Wednesdays.

So Griese is expected to start against the Falcons. And all of a sudden, the Falcons look like a decent bet to start the season 2-0. How many people predicted that?

Griese is starting? That should improve our chances considerably. I see John Abraham eating him up. I predict 2-3 sacks for him again.

I do want to see how our offense matches up to a legit D looking for pay back.

Colts TE Clark's status in doubt for Week 2

Dallas Clark (knee) did not participate in Colts practice Wednesday.

The team claims that an MRI showed Clark's knee is stable, but has offered no timetable for him to play again. "I honestly can’t say one way or the other," Clark said after Sunday night's loss to Chicago when asked about a possible return date. Don't expect him to play at Minnesota this Sunday. Sep. 10 - 5:50 pm et

per rotoworld

Another hit to the Colts. Clark is a very reliable receiving option for Manning.

Atlanta might shock everyone and beat Tampa. Turner would have to have another huge game for that to happen.

Tampa, although Garcia is injured, will beat Atlanta this week because, IMO, Gruden will simply outcoach Smith. Atlanta is run, run, run, and Gruden/Kiffin will create schemes to stop the running game and make Matt Ryan beat them.

True. The defense had a poor outing last week giving up 3 big 'splash' plays which cost us the game. That would have made Chucky very cranky. Well at least crankier than usual.

As a D.C. resident, let me be the first to tell you that the Redskins will be hard-pressed to win 7 games this season. Jim Zorn is an abysmal coach. If I had known (rather than speculated on) how bad he was, I'd have predicted a 5-11 season, 6-10 at best.

I'm really looking forward to this game. You guys need this one (as much as anyone can really "need" game 2), and we might be riding a little too high after nuking the Raiders.

I think our defense is going to get exposed - too many journeymen & youngsters to keep up with the Chargers' offense. On the other hand, I think our offense could do good things with Marshall back in the lineup.

Injuries could be a factor - Merriman is gone and I noticed that a number of other Dolts are battling minor injuries.

Really, if SD are healty and bring their "A" game, they should win. They're a stronger, better balanced team. However, a lot depends on them getting consistent pressure on Cutler - if they can't, it's going to be very hard to stop the Broncos passing game.

It sucks being a Bears fan in Minneapolis. If it's not the Vikings it's the Packers.

I got more Bears games living in Cleveland.

On the other hand, Vikings tickets are very cheap, so I get to watch at least one Bears game live for 60 bucks or less.

I've been a big time believer in Rodgers, which is part of the reason I didn't want Favre back. I knew he'd be good, but he has looked great so far. I understand that the Vikings and Lions have bottom of the league pass defenses, but I'm not talking about the wide open throws like the last TD. I'm talking about his accuracy. The way he places the ball amazes me, and I have been watching one of the top QBs in NFL history every game before this season. He puts it in the perfect spot for the receiver to make a catch and turn it up field.

I know everyone will say it's too early, but Aaron Rodgers will do more than fine in this league.
