I'm hopeing Lt gets it or payton manning will.
Can i say Brian Urlacher? Chad Johnson?
Wild Idea maybe they are going to introduce some random hall of fame thing and put an old timer on the cover.

Peyton Manning
I remember this topic has come up before and someone mentioned that the person they have on the cover coincides with a new feature they have. I wouldn't be surprised to see them add something for the DL now that they have the blocking feature. So maybe someone like Julius Peppers or Dwight Freeney.

Yeah we're looking at a defensive player... correct?
I would have said Merriman but, you know the whole steroids thing and I dont know what feature they would have added for LBs.
I bet they add something to the secondary so.....
maybe,
Champ.

I would pay an extra 10 bucks if those two were on the cover.

you know what would be a cool new feature? you get to go to WR on a pass play and get to do a move to beat the corner if they are jamming them, that'd be pretty cool.

I said awhile ago it will be a defensive player, probably a pass rusher because the pass rushing in Madden needs to be worked on. Im sticking by that.
Maybe Shawne Merriman or Julius Peppers?
One thing that they haven't done, that I think they should do is alter the qb vision based on rhythm. If you hit like 8 completions in a row, your vision should get bigger. If you start off 0-8, your vision should shrink.
I also think that there should be a "clutch" factor with the vision. Like in clutch moments like 2 min left in the 4th down by 6, the vision should get bigger or smaller depending on the qb.

It is a tough call here. Normally, I'd say LJ or LT, but they just had Alexander on the cover. I'd assume defense, but that doesn't seem to be the trend. My hope would be they do more with the coaching/GM mode, especially because the NFL Coach 2006 was such a bust. I'm going with the wild card in Tony Dungy!

In an attempt to dispel of the madden curse, Rex Grossman will be put on the cover as he can not get any worse.

I thought I heard something about year of the Reciever but im probably wrong. My guess is either Marvin Harrison, Champ Bailey, or Dwight Freeney

They should put Darrent Williams on the cover IMO.

Rework the ratings, that's what they need to do. Make them out of 200, rather than 99.

If John Madden puts himself on the cover, he will die.

I'll say Julius Peppers.
in the draft on madden they should have a "bust factor" when making selections
In shear recognition of the Madden Curse I hope it isn't The Great Dane or Peyton Manning. I also think they'll do defense this year so here are my picks: Champ Bailey or Brian Urlacher. Surprise pick: Matt McBriar.
If John Madden puts himself on the cover, he will die.
Are you forgetting that he was on the cover for the first 10 years

Yeah. It wasn't selling enough copies so they took him off.
If you really want to break the madden curse, put Mr. Invincible, or god, on there.

I don't think Harrison would accept being on the cover, he just seems too low key to do a video game cover though I'm unsure if he did a 2k one before. I would say Torry Holt could be it if they want to go WR.

I kind of wan't to see ''ocho cinco'' on the cover. He's one of the funnest to watch on the field and I can't help but laugh at everything he says.

Chad Johnson is a good bet, look at the past Madden covers:
2007-Shaun Alexander:
He had a record-breaking season and they added the RB feature, he's also a pretty well-spoken guy and is a good pitchman.
2006-Donovan McNabb:
A great pitchman, seen in commercials, and one of the better personalities in the league which makes him marketable.
2005-Ray Lewis:
Ray Lewis is one of the most unique guys in the NFL with his aggresive play, trash talking and presence on/off the field.
2004-Michael Vick:
The most widely seen jersey in many schools, Vick is the exciting player that most people know of that makes him marketable. Say what you want about his play, he's one of the most exciting players in the NFL.
2003-Marshall Faulk:
Again, a high personality type guy that's marketable.
Most guys usually are either exciting players on the field, and high personality type guys that make them marketable. It's all about that, and I think Chad Johnson is a likely candidate for it.

They should put Roy Williams on the cover or Brian dawkins a Db would be good on the cover.
Chad Johnson is alreayd on an EA game... doubt he gets 2... look for Peyton

Well using that logic tells me Brian Urlacher will be on the cover(most popular NFL Jersey...atleast for a couple years up til now)...but also the fact if they go defense I', 99% they would want to go with a bears player because of the image of their D and Urlacher is the best choice...but I really hope he doesn't do it...

If they were to do that it would have to be a double with Damien Nash. There is no chance in hell that they are doing that though.
