If he was South Carolina could maybe run the ball and the QB drop back in the pocket for less than 2 seconds. He is ok but no way is he that freaking good, no way.

These lists are quite premature anyway, but if I had to make a list this is how it would look.

1) Andre Smith OT Alabama JR
2) Matthew Stafford QB Georgia JR
3) Ray Maualuga ILB USC
4) George Selvie DE South Florida JR
5) Vontae Davis CB Illinois JR
6) Philip Loadholt OT Oklahoma
7) Michael Oher OT Mississippi
8) Malcolm Jenkins CB Ohio St.
9) Chris Wells Ohio St. JR
10) James Laurinaitis Ohio St.

Will be very interesting because some SOPH RB's are clearly better than most of the JR's and almost all of the SR RB's, be surprising who comes out. Maualuga is going to go quite high because he is so big, so athletic and so quick, just fits perfectly in the NFL. Some amazing big men on the offensive line though, Smith, Loadholt and Oher could all be stars. Then you got the stud CB's in Jenkins and Davis.

Yes there are three Buckeyes on this list, if anyone thinks Jenkins is a bad CB they do not know what they are talking about. Then Chris Wells, if you only look at SR and JR prospects, he is easily the top RB in the upcoming draft. And to those that say Laurinaitis is not good, I admit he did seem to make more plays as a SOPH and JR, but the year is young and you have to admit the DL for Ohio State is **** so hard to keep blockers off of him. Compared to Maualuga who is always free because USC has beast defensive linemen ahead of him keeping him free. Yes he is not greatly athletic but his instincts on the field and overall talking ability and consistency should not be overlooked.

Wow a lot of Eugene Monroe love. How again is he better overall blocker than Andre Smith, Philip Loadholt or Michael Oher?

Now to me, yes being athletic like Ferguson on the Jet's is great, but what I would really want is a mover, a guy that can honestly move people out of the way. A player like Andre Smith totally takes out defenders from the play, and why do so few people have him in their top 10?

I want a OL that will knock a player down and out, not one that will just stay infront of him. I like the road graders!

Worked for Brandon Jacobs?

princefielder28

Worked for Brandon Jacobs?

They do not share the same running style; Jacobs is a punishing back who does rely on his speed but uses his strength and force to best of his abilities. Wells, on the other hand, has some power when he runs but relies more on a stiff arm and speed to gain yards. He doesn't have elite speed so it'll hurt him a bit at the next level. Wells is more of a recent Jamal Lewis than Brandon Jacobs.

A LT in the NFL needs to deal with all of those 245-260 pound speed rushers who make a career purely off sacking the QB. Take it from me someone who has seen every single UVA football game the past 7 or 8 years, he is the real deal. He is athletic, a great pass blocker, as well as a good run blocker. He also has a mean streak unlike D'Brick. Monroe is one of those guys who gives you 100%, he will go to that second level and throw blocks to free up the backs. Monroe was the best lineman and arguably the best player in the nation coming out in 2005 and there has been no drop on his talent. I think he takes the positive traits from both D'Brick and Branden Albert and combines it to in my opinion be clearly the best projected pro prospect of the 3. Don't underestimate how conditioning and work ethic for him was truly accelerated by going up one on one in practice every day against guys like Chris Long and Chris Canty. Although people want to say he's like D'Brick but they are two totally different players. While both are rare atheltic specimens at the position, Monroe is a mountain of a main and has a much more physical blocking style. I mean Monroe came into UVA at 320 benching 350 pounds, while D'Brick came in as a tiny 250 who learned how the nuances of the position and how to use Finesse.

I hope he stays under the radar so the 49ers can draft him later in the 1st round

Sam Bradford is a great QB, but he won't come out this year (I know he is eligible) he is a red shirt sophomore, he would be extremely dumb to come out unless he has a top 10 draft grade, because next year he will easily be the first QB chosen. This way he becomes an even better prospect, gets even more money, more experience, etc. etc. I just do not see him coming out this year what so ever.

Maybe I underestimate Monroe but when I think of him I do not think nasty run blocker that punishes people with his power. Yes he is athletic but who says Andre Smith isn't athletic and can stop speed rushers with his power? Both are great I am just more going for the good old hogs like Orlando Pace or Jonathan Ogden. Thus I go for the Andre Smith, Loadholt and Oher type OT's.

Draft Eligible (no order)

Greg Hardy - It's annoying he's not proving me right cause he's hurt. He will when he comes back.

Eugene Monroe - One of 3 (3!!!) potentially l33t LT prospects in this draft. The most polished of the 3, but don't think he's not ridiculously talented.

Michael Oher - Interviews will help figure him out. I'd compare him to Winston Justice, also a top 10 talent who teams will really get a handle on come combine/interview season. Justice fell out of the first.

Andre Smith - If he's not a great LT prospect, he's a Shawn Andrews type prospect as a G. I think he can handle LT.

Matt Stafford - Has the tools, looks like he's seriously matured so far, and has been surrounded by nothing but a good environment for a young QB.

If you could even point out a single flaw in his game, then I would take you seriously. Blaming SC rushing attack on one guy tells me that you have no idea what you're talking about. Did you watch him against Georgia? I would say that he was dominate for very long stretches of time. He's a good run blocker, but an excellent pass protector. Look for him to move up draft boards and close in on a top 15 pick. I haven't watch the kid from Baylor yet, but Oher, Monroe, Smith, and Meredith are big time LT prospects.

Loadholt reminds me of the colossal bust that was Mike Williams. He's very stiff in the hips and he has slow feet. I don't like his knee bend, or lack there of. He's a good run blocker, but I think he's a RT prospect at the next level.

You guys talk about Combine... well Vonte Davis will shine like no other. He's the best CB prospect I've seen since Terrence Newman. If Stafford does enter I'll probably have him #1 by the end of the year, but Davis is a lock to be in my top 2.

Top 10 Draft Eligible -

1. Sam Bradford - Can't believe he is not getting more hype.

You'll see why when somebody can actually get within 10 feet of him on a pass play, he has a mammoth offensive line and play makers all over the field, anybody would look like excellent in those circumstances...I'm not sold yet, I need to see him face some ranked teams on the road that actually put pressure on him to see if he still looks as good.

Wow, top 15 pick in the NFL draft is Meredith? Try maybe 3rd to 4rd round pick. He did not play that great against Georgia, and heck Georgia does not have the DE's like they used to so yeah he will look ok. No way he is up there with guys like Andre Smith, no freaking way.

Besides measurables I don't really see anything in Mays. I want to but to me he was a none factor vs. Oh. St. He has no wow factor for me.That is very true, he never really gets a chance to make any tackles and Ellison is the guy playing around the line of scrimmage not Mays who is just the deep guy that keeps big plays from happening. Still a great player, but yes he does not get many chances to make plays since they seem to really hide him back deep. However if he is that big and can cover the pass he will be a great prospect in the NFL. Nothing says he is not a guy just like that.
