Don't post anything in here other than your teams depth chart.

If the participants would please make 1 post for their depth chart (which you can please fill in as we go) and a list of the teams they still need to take players from, it would be greatly appreciated. Picks can be made in the separate selection thread.

This is still true though the hours from midnight to 9 am eastern don't count. Figured that was a little harsh cause nobody is really guranteed to be around in the middle of the night like that, lol

CJSchneider
09-27-2008, 05:50 AM

right, but i said right above you that i'll put a hold on it between midnight and 9 am eastern time. if people still come along, they can pick then, as islandboy did, but since some people might need sleep for work or something, I won't punish them for not being around from 3am to 6am.

but now its been 3hours past 9am, so i think i might pick, then Iboldin gets another 3 hours to make both of his selections.

sorry fellas, I was out. pick up in just a minute

BeerBaron
09-28-2008, 06:09 PM
so i'm thinking......let me know if this is a good idea or not......

what if, starting next round, we start taking 2 players per pick? CJ would take one player to finish off this round then take 2 players to start out the next round and we go like that from there.

I'm having fun with this and i don't want to see it die but it gets unbearably slow at times......

thoughts?

CJSchneider

BeerBaron
09-29-2008, 05:17 PM
you could have stuck with Bunkley if you wanted to Prince. Nothing says you have to get all your starters first, just that you have to get a player from each team first.

yeah, i'm getting a little scared by some of these recent picks, lots were my backup choices for their teams, lol

I'm hella glad I have Calvin Johnson because the Lions seriously have like 3 halfway decent players....and we've got 9 people needing them.

It truly is not. At this point, I'm going to get solid O-lineman still. Where as one star won't help me ALL that much. With a beast of a defense and skill positions I think can take over games, I'll be fine with just solid bodies :D

I just look at where some of these guys went. Joe Thomas hasn't had a tremendous year by any means and went very early, while some new O-lineman who have had good years are still on the board.

I have to agree with JBond on this one. It won't take much in order to ensure your front 5 are all starters at the least(Im drafting mine last also). Plug in the superstars around them and all should go well.

thats what i do.

I think i just made Willie Parker the steal of the draft......

and to chucky: my d-line over yours

DE: Kampman
DT: Ngata
DT: Dockett
DE: Vanden Bosch

Add in Seymour and Kemoeatu in rotation and you can't run on that. you just can't. And they aren't slouch pass rushers either.......

I'd be scared.

BTW! I've only got two more teams to draft for and then i'll have all 32 and it'll be time to start redrafting from some.....i like the teams i ended up with last too. plenty of depth there (in my opinion at least) to select from.

I disagree I will definately take mine. My DT rotation is just absurd. I have the best Defensive player in the league on it. Not to mention Tommie and Hampton in the middle as well. At DE I have the best pass rusher in the league this year in abraham. Then I have Suggs and JT on the other side. Mine is def better

different strengths though. Outside of Haynesworth and Hampton, everyone else will struggles vs. the run.

Tommie already does, and Taylor, Abraham and Suggs are all small for 43 DEs.

My line alone consists of some of the best run stoppers at their positions. I would make the point that Vanden Bosch and Kampman are both top 5, if not top 3 run stoppers as true 43 ends.

Ngata is just a massive man that frees up linebackers to make plays while absorbing blockers and Seymour and Dockett give me versatility at the other DT spot.

Plus none are awful pass rushers by any stretch....

Mine is also younger across the board as well. you've got some guys with real age like Taylor, Abraham and Hampton.

Considering this is a one year thing, I dont see how it matters. Mine will be almost as good as stopping the run, while much much superior at rushing the passer. I have 5 guys on my line who can get 7 sacks+

again, no one's going to be running on me. go ahead and try to spread out the rest of my defense, but my line alone is killer when it comes to stopping the run.....

plus your going to need your lineman to keep them in check allowing my athletic linebackers to run all over making plays.

pretty much, i win.

And my run game is going to be tough to stop. Jax and Parker? Win. Open up Cutler for rollouts? win. Calvin going deep? oh....you had better believe win.

Have fun being one dimensional when my d-line has your run game stomped out. Samuel and Mathis will probably combine for 16 picks with as much throwing as my opponents will have to do.

And if you think Samuel and Mathis are stopping Randy Moss and Steve Smith, think again!

Davin Joseph at LG? D'brickshaw(who sucks and is just a big name at this point) at RT? Your O-line is in fact quite weak and would get manhandled by many of the D-lines in this thing( especially mine)

it is light and small. Brick and Light would get pushed all over by my front 4.

And with my size advantage absorbing your lineman, my athletic linebackers would be free to run around and snuff out those Westbrook screens no sweat.

Joseph has not been terrible, he has just been recovering from an injury. Sears was definately better than him last year.

Its not them "at their best"

Its them now, but healthy. Dunno if that makes a difference in your instance but it is a different concept. I was sure to point that out early in the draft discussion.

I am saying that when these things are set to votes the best team usually does not win the person who is "most- liked" wins, which is stupid. Judging usually works out much better

CJSchneider
