SI's Peter King is reporting that coach Scott Linehan is expected to be given his "walking papers" if the Rams lose to the Bills on Sunday.
Linehan has the Rams off to an 0-3 start and has nearly lost the faith of his entire offense. Marc Bulger, Steven Jackson, and Torry Holt have all spoken out, or at least hinted, that they're fed up with their head coach. Sep. 27 - 6:28 pm et

Interesting stuff, especially with him pissing off Jackson, Bulger and Holt in recent weeks, plus I'd wager a whole load of other players who're remaining quiet.

If this is true you reckon holt might just let a pass slip through his fingers here and there?

They always have to fire someone.

and the beat goes on.

if?
Why not just fire him now?

Well, with Trent Green starting... maybe Linehan found out about this before now and is just wanting to get it over with.

The more I think about it the more it sounds weird, I mean, even if they beat Buffalo, there's no way they run the table.

Maybe Bulgar quit on the team and the coach and he was forced to replace him. Who knows.

Linehan has lost the team, they need to move on without him dragging them down further. Starting this Monday with the Week 5 bye ahead.

The question is who to promote to HC: Haslett, Sanders, or someone else. I'd probably go with Haslett.

As a Bills fan I sure as **** hope that he gets fired on Monday. The way his players seem to hate him I wouldn't be surprised to see them semi-intentionally play like ****. I know they are professionals, but I guarantee some of them still would rather lay an egg and never have to see Linehan again.

I too get the feeling that some of the Rams players will not play to the best of their abilities tomorrow.

Pretty stupid that its if they lose to the Bills. One win won't make that much of a difference, just get it over with if you're going to fire him. But this is only if the reports are true.

Think Jim gets the interim job?

Hasslett or Saunders would be good choices...or rather, leagues better than Linehan.

Once Jim becomes HC your LB'ers will quickly forget how to play the position lol.

Marty, Marty!

I know I was pimping him for the Lions too but he'd be a great fit here too.

Thank god, I can't wait to have him gone!

In other news reported the other day Marshall Faulk had a private meeting with Chip the owner.

Whoever ends up in the job they should try and keep haslett as the D coord.

I didn't think Martz did that bad of a job when he was there anyway.

You think they should keep Haslett here?

Rams who would they hire, next off-season? Mike Martzzzzz, Rod M, Lane Kiff, Bill Cowher, Eagles assistant coaches, Russ Grimm,

I actually wouldn't disapprove of Lane Kiffin. Yeah, he's nto doing so well in Oakland, but if the Rams gave full power to him, I think he'd do dam well.

Haslett could probably net them a few wins but he is not a long term answer. I think he'd be a pretty good interim coach though.

I like the thought of firing him, but what is with this 'if they lose the next game' crap? it makes no sense. If you are going ot fire them you are going to fire them. Is this supposed to spark the team to play for the coach? IF so, that obviously isn't going to happen in this situation....

Linehan is just pathetic. I've heard that he's not just fighting with players but that him and Haslett hate each other so much that Linehan had one of Jim's favorite players, Fakhir Brown, cut just b/c Linehan's the HC.

Yup, thats the truth.

And now Haslett waned Manning Jr. signed, we signed him. But Fakhir was cut for JASON CRAFT and he's starting at NB today behind Hill and Bartell with Manning Jr. no where to be found.

I ABSOLUTELY HATE LINEHAN

This Linehan controversy is starting to seriously overrate Fakhir Brown.

Fakhir was not a bad corner, but a good one actually. I've seen every game the last three years including all of his with us. He's game after game come up making plays and stops. Was no doubt our best CB. Absolutely no reason to cut him. Besides getting back at Haslett.

As a guy who has seen plenty of both, Fakhir Brown was 149834772389 times better than Jason Craft.
