View Full Version : Favorite Hip Hop Producer
Who are some you favorite producers. I dont think anyone can touch 9th Wonder.
Some of my other favorites are
Alchemist ( Mobb deep main producer)
Pete Rock ( a hip hop god)
RZA ( Kanye completely bit off of his style)
Dj Premier (probably the best of all time)
Preemo, Storch, JR, Timbo, Danja, Ron Browz, Stargate, Don Cannon, Cool N Dre, etc. I like a lot of producers.

Premiere
Kno from Cunninlynguists
Scott Storch
Alchemist
Rick Rubin
Pete Rock
I like the east coast style of beats, its more old school and deeper rooted in the hip hop style. I like jazzy beats too, it really takes hip hop back to its roots. Thats why I love Kno so much, he really incorporates jazz into his beats real well.

That whole tracklist is nice. Im gonna make a CD with those songs. Good look.
RZA Kanye Diddy
Diddy does not produce ****. If he gets credited for something, it's ghostproduction or it's crap. He's an exec, that's different from a real producer that makes beats.

Don't get rid of it yet, lol. I gotta go through each song and make my playlists so I can burn something new for my dreaded commutes.

Can't you G's just combine all these threads into one big music thread?

Dre's new beats are crap. He was good about 5 years ago with Watcher 2 and Still D.R.E, etc. His new Jay-Z beats and his work with others sucks and it all sounds the same. I don't see the difference between 30 Something, Lost Ones & Hustlers.

Scott Storch did one song on Still D.R.E.
no sir, he did still d.r.e. on 2001, there is no cd called still d.r.e.
Dr. Dre has way too many ghostproducers and coproducers. Dating all the way back to his work with Scott Storch and Mike Elizondo. Now there's guys like Mark Batson that work with him and it seems like he can't make a beat by himself, all he does is the drum beat.
Scott Storch produces songs with every instrument imaginable, and he does it all by himself.
I never mentioned L.E.S, he's one of my favourites.
