WINSLOW HAS SWOLLEN, UM, PARTS?
Posted by Mike Florio on October 10, 2008, 12:51 p.m.

A league source tells us that the talk among the Browns is that tight end Kellen Winslow landed in the Cleveland Clinic because his balls swelled to the size of grapefruits.

(We think that technical term is testiculus coconutus.)

Actually, one explanation for the situation is a condition known as hyrdocele. And while the condition in itself isnít serious, it could be a symptom of testicular cancer.

And, yeah, I squirmed in my chair the entire time I typed this.

That is the definition of serious.

you mean other guys' balls aren't normally the size of grapefruits?

j/k, I hope he doesn't have cancer, that would suck. talk about a long line of bad things happening to you - broken leg/torn acl, motorcycle crash and retorn acl, staph infection, dislocated shoulder, countless surgeries.

i think he has started a competition with chad pennington to see who can miss more games in their nfl career.

Awful news for one of the bright young stars on that team. Hopefully he got treatment early enough that is all treatable.

other than missing his first two seasons I don't think he's missed more than maybe 1 or 2 games since. Tough kid, but he's always getting some kinda minor or lingering injury.

thank you.....as of right now as far as percentage of career being missed by injuries and not just being bad at football, i think winslow is pretty high up there.

His balls are usually the size of bowling balls. He got worried when they shrank.

I saw that drowe had the last post in the thread, so I clicked on it even though I had read over it expecting drowe to have an absolutely hilarious one liner, but was disapointed with the effort drowe;).

The broken leg followed by the motorcycle wreck followed by staph infection followed by more knee surgeries didn't do it?

All jokes aside I think hockey player Phil Kessel of the Boston Bruins had a similar condition a few years back.

I had a hydrocele, it has nothing to do with cancer.

I did have to have surgery to correct it, which would knock him out for a week or two.

Except mysterious sack ailments, and rape scandals at summer camp.
