What are the Top 10 Workout Warriors in college football right now? Regardless of any position.

Well one if most definitely going to be DE Michael Johnson of Georgia Tech, Vontae Davis is another, and there are much more but those two are from the top of my head.

Darrius Heyward-Bey if you look at his production. But I still believe he will be a big time pro wideout.

I think C.J. Spiller qualifies. I personally don't think he's that special but he seems to be widely considered a first day pick who will run high 4.2-low 4.3

Taylor Mays has to be the biggest one if his reported triangle numbers are true.

Michael Johnson of Georgia Tech is another.

Sometimes it's hard to pin-point these guys early because they are from smaller schools and they really get their first mass exposure from their workout numbers.

gonna be a lot this year. Vontae Davis, Taylor Mays, Michael Johnson, Brian Orakpo, Heyward Bey, Percy Harvin probably the most notable.

Orakpo, Taylor Mays, Vontae, DHB.

Davis and Mays continue to look overrated to me but they will be workout warriors.

Depends what you mean by workout warrior. Do you mean people who will just put up ridiculous combines to go along with their good play? (Vontae Davis, Brian Orakpo) Or people who don't do much and will put up great combine numbers? (Michael Johnson)

what you do on the field has 0 to do with being a workout warrior. It just means that you have a great workout at the combine/pro day. Shawne Merriman and Vernon Davis are perfect examples of this.

It could be either or. I've seen it used for players who are just good at the combine, or people who are productive.

regardless of their play... Workout warriors can be great players and they can be terrible players, its just one part of their evaluation.

George Selvie. Seriously, you see how much he's been eating to gain weight?

Javon Ringer.

benches 420, squats 640. and is a lot faster than ppl think, 4.45ish time.
And has very reliable hands out of the backfield

eh...Selvie is neither that strong or fast and is still undersized. He is the oppostie of a workout warrior, he produces despite not having elite measurables.

Kam Chancellor is a phreak. With a ph, but it's still shocking.

Jared Cook is 6'5, 250, and runs a 4.4 40. I don't think he'll come out this year though.

Every year the top 10 guys picked are all workout warriors but they never get mentioned as such. It makes for a much better story to concentrate on the workout warriors who fail or come out of nowhere. In fact it can be argued that all day 1 picks were workout warriors or their teams wouldn't have taken them so high.
