It's such a shame. This kid is a stud.

And down goes on the draft board...

Wow... Right when he was breaking out. That's too bad. Someone might get a stud for fantastic value, though. This makes him even more enigmatic as a prospect.

Where does he go now? Such a limited sample size but he was absolutely soaring up boards before he got hurt. With an ok workout does he still have a shot at 3rd-4th round or is the sample size too small and is he more of a late rounder now?

I had him as the #1 senior receiver and #3 overall before the injury. Unfortunately for him there are quite a few good underclassmen and a few seniors that will undoubtedly pass him. Someone is going to get a very good player on the second day.

If I were a team in need of a return man and a WR to develop, I'd be willing to throw a late 3rd to select him. I think he might still have a chance of going by the 4th round, it wouldn't surprise me.

was a real shame when i heard it this morning....that really sucks.

And he shouldn't even be ready for the Senior Bowl with that injury. That is really, really disappointing.

Yeah, that pretty much ruins his shot of being selected in the top two rounds. I'd put him in the fourth or so, although he could possibly go a bit later a la Jack I. from Wisconsin last year.

Looks like someone's going to have a shot at getting a seriously talented receiver in the 4th or 5th round.

I sure hope it's my team.

Hakeem Nicks is underrated, this should help him. But yeah I can see Tate ending up on a contender as a mid round pick and being an absolute steal.

i hope he's able to recover in time to do some workouts before the draft.

I'd love for the Colts to pick him up as a return man if the value is right.

Time for Brooks Foster to lay his claim...

Didn't work out the best for Jack I. Hope it goes better for Tate as he's one special kid. I still believe he can sneak into the third round.

I really, really want him on the Lions. We've been searching for an above average return man for some time now and we need more depth at receiver. Right now our kick returner is Brandon Middleton and our punt returners are Shaun McDonald and Mike Furrey. I think Roy Williams' days are numbered as a Lion as are McDonald's. We have too many need to go wide receiver early, but if he sitting there at the first pick in the 5th Round, I think we need to take a chance.

I could still see him going in the 3rd. Teams always jump to get guys like this. Dennis Weathersby be got shot and was still taken in the 4th.

This might hurt Tate in terms of where he gets drafted, but if he comes back completely healthy he will still be a first day pick easily. He is a outstanding receiver, and if he can come back and make the kind of cuts he made earlier this season, he will be picked high.

He was really having a great year. We'll have to wait until the combine to see how he performs. He is probably a second day pick now.

Didn't the Eagles take him in like the 4th? I suppose that's better than not at all.
