As a history teacher, i found this very interesting....
I know that Germany also lost its last Veteran of WW1 earlier in 2008 or in late 2007.
Talk about the end of an era.

Very interested article. I find it particularly interesting since I have a high degree of interest in military interest and graduated college with a history degree.

I am not trying to incite any problems but are you implying that fighting in WWI or WWII is the reason we are speaking English still?

Well, that is speculation. What I am saying is that every freedom you enjoy, you owe a debt of gratitude to those past and present who sacraficed to secure those freedoms.
