Baltimore Ravens host Oakland Raiders

Thought I would make this a bit early, wanted to get some discussions going early.

I think this game can be a HUGE lift for our team or a HUGE heartbreaker. I really doubt we will lose because of what we do to young QB's who have tons to learn. Russell will probably have pressure all day and has to deal w/ a secondary w/ alot of playmakers. Not to mention Chris McAlister will return. (hopefully) Now IMO the key to the game will be Joe Flaccos play at QB, the Raiders have a good defense themselves and is going to be giving Flacco a hard time as well. I think if we keep running it down there throats eventually they will start to break down, and thats just what Flacco needs to make some nice plays. I think we will win this 21-3 or 14-0. I cant see there offense doing ANYTHING on our D, so the key is our offensive play.

im so excited! im flying in to watch this game. it gonna be the first ravens game that ive seen in baltimore and i cant wait till we beat the raiders because i have a ton of friends who are raiders fans.

Wow. What.The.****. !!! CBS decides to show a Nu-Wave Microwave oven ad instead of the Baltimore game. Total BS, now im stuck listening to the game on the radio... Good thing is that everytime I listen to the game on the radio, we are undeafeated this year. 2-0. First 2 games :( **** CBS and the Nu-Wave Oven. :(

Congrats to Troy Smith for taking his first snap of the season.

couples thoughts as of now-

Gaither needs to focus in, 2 freakin false starts on him and another on McGahee and McClain.

Haloti Ngata on offense? Troy Smith taking direct snaps and running? Tons of confusion on our offense as well. two timeouts takn because of it.

Jim Leonhard is a pretty solid returner; Terrell Suggs is having a great game.

Love the different looks our offense is giving Oakland, unbalance o-line, Troy Smith running, Flacco lined up wide right or left.

and finnally our running game looks nice but Flacco is pretty off.

I doubt he'll do that, but hes having a great game on the ground and you can see(in my case, hear) improvment every game he plays. He is also a solid WR and is second on the team with 13 catches.

WOW! Penalties are killing us, and I love how Jared Gaither (J.O.'s replacment) chose to have his worst game the same day J.O. is inducted to the Ravens ring. On the bright side, its really impressive to see our offense overcome all these yellow flags and keep on moving the ball.

Troy Smith to Joe Flacco for 43 yards!! Impressive and the radio reporteres have given the nickname "the buckeye offense" whenever Troy Smith and Flacco are in at the same time. 1 play later McGahee pounds it in for a touchdown but once again a HUGE play is nulified by a penalty so we have to settle for a Stover FG :( This is really dissapointing.

wow, once again we totally let a team come right back into the game. we were freakin up by 19 points and now this?? I think we start the conservation offense wayy to early. We had our jumb package out on teh first drive of the third quarter. IMO, thats way to early to start running the ball 3 times and punting. We need to come out of halftime and keep pushing and maybe after 1 more TD, then I wouldnt mind seeing the conservative offense. IMO 19-0 wasnt a big enough lead, especially when our defense has showed sign of gettig worn out toward the end of games. (pittsburgh and tennesse)

Wow, Jared Gaither took Ray Rices first touchdown of his career away. Its a shame, I really liked Rice and Im sure a touchdown would have REALLY boosted his confidence. Thats his 4th penalty of the game and Im really dissapointed in him.(Gaither) And wow!! Joe Flacco just ran it in!!! IMO he is the Player Of The Game- 12/24 140 yards 1 Touchdown 2 CAR 25 Yards 1 Touchdown 1 REC 43 yards. very impressive.

All in All, a great game in all three phases of the game.

I think Gaither will still develop into a good tackle, but I have written Chester off he is a major bust.

A side note is if we throw a jump ball to Clayton or Mason 1 more time I am going to puke.

Suggs did have a good game. I was impressed w/ Leonard in PR.
