So i bought my mac book a couple of months ago, and for some reason my internet and other programs are running muuuuuuuuuuuch slower then they should be. I have trouble loading pages and watching anything because of such long load times. I have a great broadband internet connection, I rarely download any songs, and dont watch very much porn or other movies so im confused as to why it is this is happening. I thought since i had a mac i was pretty safe from these problems but i guess not. If anyone can throw me out some suggestions as to what can help ill give you + rep. Please and thanks

and dont watch very much porn or other movies

That probably means your watching way too much and need to stop because you're killing your mac book.

I've had a Mac for rouhly 5 years and the only times mine slows down is when I have too many things running or too much memory taken up. Try to not have so many applications running at the same time and maybe free up some space. Memory may not be an issue though since you just recently got it. Also, I've found that shutting down the computer is a good chance for it to cool down. Hope that helps a slice.

is the entire computer running slow. or only when you're connected to the internet?

Well im always connected ot the internet, and maybe i should try just shutting it down because i literally have it on 24/7 and im always connected to my internet. Ive just noticed huge difference in load times but ill see what shutting down for awhile can do.

Shut it down, disconnect from the net, see if anything changes. If so, it is the internet.

Worst case, in every Apple store for free you can sign up to talk to people who will tell you what the problem is.

What you do is bring it into the apple store, they don't know **** about computers (apple "genius" what a joke), so they just give you a new whatever-it-is-that-isn't-working as long as you are still under warranty... if not, I think the tell you that you're stupid for breaking their product even though most are poorly manufactured (at least the iPods anyway).

Funny. Yet true.

My buddy brought in a generation two Ipod and they had no idea what to do so they just gave him a new generation Ipod. No extra charge.

Well, they have such a low cost of manufacturing that they can just give them away like it's nothing.

Well so far ive really liked it, and having it shut off for the day has actually improved the speed of everything. I think ive only shut it off like three times since i got it so ill keep that in mind. Thanks for the tips guys.
