We need to end the "can Aaron Curry play XYZ?" threads... I would say that he can play 3-4OLB/OLB/3-4MLB/Tampa 2 MLB/SS/Situational Pass rusher/TE/FB/Long Snapper/Special Teams Gunner/KO Coverage/Kick Return Team

Am I missing any? How is his arm? QB for the Chiefs/Lions?

I don't know about him as an OLB in the Three-Four, but he could beast at any other LB position in the league.

i don't think anyone is gonna put him at olb in a 3-4 anytime soon, unless it's situationally in a game from time to time to mix things up.

I don't know who well he would fit at 3-4 ILB in say San Fran because hes not built to be the ILB in the system that just takes blockers because they already have a fly-around-and-hit-everything-that-moves guy in Patrick Willis, but other than a situation like that Curry can play 3-4 ILB, Cover 2 MLB, and 4-3 OLB

I think because of his explosion at thew snap and his long arms he could play 3-4 OLB. He has shown some great fluidity in his movement and some pass-rush moves, I don't see why he couldn't do it.

I don't think he could play 3-4 OLB full time, but he's definitely the kind of guy who can play any LBer spot in any system.

I think he's in the Derrick Johnson class of LBers.

I'm not sure I see him as an outside linebacker in a 3-4, but I definitely think he could play middle linebacker in a Tampa-2.

No. Just the perfect specimen at the LBer position. Very smart, athletic, large, fast, long but solid, leader on his D, versatile....

He's one of the better linebacker (non-MLB) prospects to come out in recent memory.

I dont think he's that good. DJ was a super beast in college.

True...so a similar type of prospect to DJ in that he has similar size, speed, and skills...but just not at DJ's level as far as prospect hype.

He's got about ten pounds on DJ and isn't near as quick. I'm not so sure I like that one. Really, Derrick Johnson should be one of the best linebackers in the league right now. I'm not sure Curry has that type of innate ability, where he shouldn't have excuses like that, but he should be more productive.

he doesn't avoid blocks like Johnson did and he is a physical player, top linebacker in this draft for my money. he is creeping towards the top ten overall selections.

Curry is crazy good, he could play any LB spot IMO. I think he could be a SLB, MLB, WLB in a 3-4 he could be a ILB in a 4-3 and I think if you stuck him out at OLB in a 3-4 he might suprise some people. I want the Eagles to get a LB so bad.

Hey guys, should I start a thread asking if Aaron Curry could play gunner on special teams?!?!?

Actually, MLB in Tampa 2 seems to fit like a glove for Curry. Never had considered it before.
