Per Position

QB: Toss up between Stabler and Simms
RB: Ottis Anderson (only 10,000 rusher on the list I believe)
WR: Cris Carter
TE: Shannon Sharpe
OL: Russ Grimm, G
DL: Bruce Smith, DE
LB: Derrick Thomas
DB: Steve Atwater, S
Kickers, Punters & Special Teams: Ray Guy, P
Coaches: Jimmy Johnson

By the way are all these guys eligible? Has it been 5 years since Shannon Sharpe played?

Also was Randy Gradishar taken off the list? Because I thought he should have made it last year.

I would love to see Kenny Anderson make it in the Hall. It's been a long time coming.

Good SI article with Ron Wolf on debating potential HOF candidates (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/writers/dr_z/05/23/wolf.hall/index.html)

I respect Wolf's opinion a great deal, so it was interesting to hear his thoughts on some players.

Out of the coaches I think Don Coryell should definitely make it.

Also I'd love to one, if not all, of these three make it into the hall: Pat Swilling, Sam Mills, and Rickey Jackson.

That is a very good article. It read like you were sitting Indian-style on the floor listening to two wise old men in chairs tell s story.

Wolf thinks Leroy Butler is a Hall of Famer, but Steve Atwater isn't? lol
Shannon Sharpe better be a 1st ballot HoFer.

Meh, I think Atwater is where he should be on the Broncos Ring of Honor. Hall of Fame, I'm very leery. There are much better safeties who have yet to get in still, because the voters hate safeties, plus there may be some discussion for Darren Woodson and Butler although I'm not sure I'd put either of those guys in either.

I would not mind seeing Roger Craig get in his stats are not crazy but he meant alot to the 49ers.

Cris Carter and Shannon Sharpe should be a mortal locks. Phil Simms will probably get in as well.

Being commissioner automatically makes you a Hall of Famer?

Sterling Sharpe and Bruce Smith are the only locks, in my opinion. I wouldn't be opposed to Cris Carter and Rod Woodson getting in either. However, let's stop with the Hall of Very Good. The Hall of Fame needs to keep as much credibility as it can and stop letting all these borderline guys in.

Bruce should be in right away, that makes me happy.

Still pulling for Tasker!

No Hogs in yet = sham.

Hopefully Grimm makes it this year.

Mr. Stiller
10-31-2008, 06:42 PM
Dermontti Dawson is going to get Snubbed again.

I wonder how many years it takes for the Best Center in the history game to make the Hall.

Edit: I still can't believe Dick LeBeau hasn't gotten in either...

Donnie Shell should be in but, too many 70's Steel Curtain members are in.

As a Seahawks fan...some interesting quotes from teh article.

"Cortez Kennedy is Wolf's favorite defensive lineman of the six in the group."

and

"Well, if I were drafting them, this is the order in which I'd pick them. No.1 Easley. The best safety I've ever seen. The crème de la crème. Unfortunately, he got hurt. Plus he played in Vladivostok, where nobody ever heard of him."

Too bad they played in Seattle.

JESSIE ARMSTEAD!!!!! <333333

my favorite!! I love him so much, please put him in the hall. oh it'd be such a happy day. I'd so get to go to the induction ceremony.

He'll get in eventually, when he takes over as head coach of the Giants in about 5 years and wins 10 consecutive Super Bowls
