Signed through 2014 according to ESPN.

Great news, and nice to get it done now so we can use some of the unused 2008 cap still.

Jennings said he doesn't want to talk until after the season.

i think it would be 9-9.5 million a season for 7-8 years and it can go up to 10-11 million when it reaches the final years of his contract.

We will get him signed long term before he reaches free agency for sure. Not a chance Thompson lets him walk.

Yeah, definitely.

Great news on Rodgers! Curious where this deal puts him among QBs!

ya i Just put this in the NFL one. Opps

Anyways, when did Jennings say that? I've never seen it. Only seen speculation of him signing an extension.

Great move. Even though it's only been 7 games there's no doubt left that he's the real-deal. For the organization to go from quarterback to quarterback as well as they did is incredible.

$65 million is the reported value with $20 million guaranteed.

According to Adam Schefter of NFL Network, Rodgers will receive $20 million guaranteed on a six-year, $65 million deal.

10.8 million per year if you divide it by 6. A little over payed, but he still a good player.

Not at all overpaid. Take a look at some other QBs who have gotten new contracts within the past two years.

Eli Manning - $14.1
Matt Ryan - $12
Tony Romo - $11.2
Aaron Rodgers - $10.8
JaMarcus Russell - $10.2
David Garrard - $10

I'm really happy with those numbers. He's definitely earned it so far this year and we need the longterm security. Great job TT!

Good resigning. Nothing better than getting a young, franchise QB under contract for the long term. Now if only the Bucs can find someone to fit that description...

I really like this move. It's really cool how Aaron was saying that getting this money was very humbling. The more I see and hear from Aaron the more I like him. Look he was put in a awful situation this summer, said something he shouldn't have but since then has conducted himself amazingly both on and off the field.

TT and MM haters will find something to ***** about but I really like this move. Grant, Aaron, Lee, young guards, young WR, a soon to be extended Jennings, this offense is going to grow together for a long time; the most important aspect of this whole this is to keep the same offense intacted.

Yatta!

Quality move. Numbers seem sensible.

Toss in that this was the last weekend to be able to apply 2008 money to the 2008 cap, and this is a winner of a move all around. The money isn't crazy and is in line with other guys that have signed. It's a good length on the contract. Very little signing bonus to be pro-rated over the life of the contract with the bulk of the guaranteed money coming from a roster bonus on this year's cap. TT has his guy (and who else would you rather have at this point of the season?), but if A-Rod went brittle and stayed broke, not a cap-killer of a deal.

Nice move by Ted.

That report is false. It was completed in time and will count for this year.

Not that I don't believe you but exactly how do you know that reports false?
