Ravens likely to sign (eventually) Ray Lewis to a five-year extension. (http://wnst.net/wordpress/drewforrester/2008/11/04/keep-those-52-jerseys-for-5-more-years/)
I thought Lewis might leave to the highest bidder, but apparently he and the Ravens worked out a contract for him to play out the rest of his worthwhile career.

Sweeeet it would of been so weird to see him in another jersey #52, Baltimore for life.

He embodies that team, good to see that loyalty is still alive. Wonder if this helps keep the likes of Suggs and Scott around next year.

You'd think they would, I think that as long as Ray Lewis is playing MLB in Baltimore their going to have a top D every year

PFT reported that the announcement is premature and no discussions about a new contract are coming until after the season.

Let Bart Scott walk. He be easily replaced. His ego does more damage than his play on the field. No doubt he has flashes of brilliance but his game is too inconsistent and he doesn't have the mind to play within the system.

Great news that he'll be a Raven for life. I really can't see Ray wearing a different jersey. Hopefully, we can get Suggs re-signed as soon as possible. I'm not sure if we're going to bring back Bart Scott. We have two young linebackers with alot of potential, in Antwan Barnes and Tavares Gooden. Plus, I think that coaches are high on Jammel McClain.
