Decent Vikings pick.
How good of a run blocker is Smith. I already know he's a pretty good athlete.

4. San Francisco 49ers - ILB Rey Maualuga, Southern Cal
OT is by far a bigger need. Give us Oher or Monroe. I'm saying this as a big USC fan, but I have to go with need over what might seem cool.
16. New Orleans Saints - ILB James Laurinaitis, Ohio St.
Not that it wouldn't do us well, but If we can't get Curry I see us trading down for sure and picking up MAys (if he is available) or Cushing

Alex Mack is a good Steelers pick, but OT is our biggest need. I'll take any OL though.

I <3 William Moore to the Jets. The secondary needs work and Moore and Rhodes would be deadly at safety, would really help us disguise what we're trying to do and gives us a ton of versatility. Having such crap playing at free safety is a big handicap.
Think Smith is the right call for the Bengals there, not only what they will do but what they should do. That line really needs help and at the top of the draft that's a position that has real value.
Orakpo is nice for the Texans, that's been a pretty popular pick from what I've seen but is logical and gives them a nasty pair of ends. I like what they're doing down there.
Think the Eagles like Celek at tight end and he's been playing relatively well, but you'd have to ask them. Loadholt's alright as Reid likes his big boys on the line.
DHB to the Giants is very interesting I really don't know how Manningham has turned out but I do know they were pretty well stocked at WR early in the year (had to cut some really talented guy that ended up with the Dolphins I believe) and he brings some similar things to the table there IMO.
Gresham to the Bills is very interesting, they really threw to their tight ends a decent amount last week but don't have a legit stud there. Really could help work the middle of the field and open up the outside and they would be a fantastic weapon for Edwards. Gresham and Hardy would be nasty in the red zone, too.
I'm sure Dolphins fans will like Vontae though I'd prefer he stayed out of the AFC East...
Overall nice job, me gusta.

While Knowshon is great value there, He isn't a good compliment to Hightower, if we draft a RB it would be someone like CJ Spiller or Devin Moore true speedsters. In this situation I could actually see Spiller being the 2nd back taken.

Harvin is fine IF and only IF Heyward-Bey, Maclin, and Crabtree are gone. Heyward-Bey goes to us there.
Packers need that future #1 CB and Jenkins does that
After seeing how well Williams played I no longer think that it's something we need to address in the first round or even this draft. However if Jenkins is there at our pick, then yes most definitely.

the only WR we should pick are Britt and/or Underwood. I think we'd go a different direction round 1. But who knows, with Plax being a nut and Amani old, you never know. Could very well just go BPA

Boooo to Maclin we have Hester. Duke or DHB.

Due to the Culpepper signing, I really think the Lions are at least hoping he will perform adequete enough to be able to avoid a QB in the first round. I like Bradford, but I don't think we're going in that direction anymore.
Oher and Hardy would be a tremendous combination.

Hope you didn't pull any muscles for this one.

Horrible pick for the Colts. Peria Jerry is not worth a 1st round pick in my mind. He is a big reach there. It would be very hard to pass up Laurenitus, Spikes, or Marks with that spot.

Very nice pick for Miami! With Crabtree, Johnson, and Orakpo off the board already, Davis would be my next choice for sure! Now all we need is Cushing or Sintim with that 2nd rounder!
Derrick Williams seems a little questionable for a first round pick. I'm not so sure they wouldn't go with a CB or DE there instead, as Williams looks like a huge reach at this point.

I didn't like these picks. While personally I do agree that a franchise caliber OT would be the way to go with the bengals I've been convinced that their cheap FO won't spend top 2 money another OL when they have Levi and Andrews most likely on significant salary with young guys like Colins and Whitworth, they need a C really bad but they've got a lot invest at OT and are alright at the position. I have them grabbing Rak to give them an impact front 7 player on D who will really improve their pass rush.
I don't think Rey Rey ends up going top 10 but even if he does I don't see why the 9ers grab him, their Oline and receiving corps seem to be much more blatant needs that require the pure talent of a high pick. Sure he would help that D but at the moment the D looks alright while the offense looks just woeful.
I'm not a big fan of Curry in the Three-Four, infact in that scheme I think Spykes is a much better pick. Both would be ILBs and Spykes just seems to be a prototype ILB. Now in a Four-Three I simply adore Curry.
I can't imagine the vikings passing on a dynamic TE like Gresham, they really could use that intermediate option for who ever the QB is next season.
I don't see the Buffalo Gresham fit, they really like to use their TEs as blockers and Gresham would need a season of polish on the bench before being worth getting significant PT as a blocker. I'd look for a DE, OLB, SS or maybe even an olineman to make sure that they' don't struggle establishing the run like they have been the past few weeks.
I love DHB's potential but I like Tyson Jackson's even more. With us we'd use his versatility and athleticism incredibly well and Kiwi could move back to SLB with 2 good backup DEs on the roster, Tollefson and TJ.
I really don't see Derrick Williams as day one material much less first round material.
Just some of my thoughts, disorganized and twisted, hope that helps.
Yatta!

That would be my absolute dream Packers pick. Like GB12 said, CB is no longer our greatest need but we would jump all over Jenkins if he's there.

Coffman is a very good pick for the Eagles. Loadholt, not so much, especially with Ciron Black and Jason Smith (who may not fit our blocking style) available. Herman Johnson should also be considered.

Pretty standard Chiefs pick but I'd prefer Stafford over Bradford so thanks for giving Bradford to the Lions at #1 and having Stafford for the Chiefs at #3!

Fine Coffman pick, but Loadholt is brutal.
And maybe this mock I can get an answer from you as to why Derrick Williams is a first round pick. That's possibly the worst mock draft pick I've ever seen.

Derrick Williams is easily my #1 senior wide receiver. That may speak to the complete lack of senior talent, but at the same time he's looked good when I've seen him and he's someone who can play running back and return in addition to wide receiver. The Titans need a wide receiver badly and with four off the board, they go with one. Keep in mind Williams was a top recruit coming out of high school and teams are placing more of an emphasis than ever on the return game.

You must be ******* kidding me. A guy with a career ypc of 10.7 is your #1 senior receiver? Really? One 100 yard game (Temple) and six receiving TDs, AND HE'S YOUR #1 SENIOR RECEIVER? EASILY?
Derrick Williams is not a wide receiver. He's a running back/return man.

Chad Jackson had 8.8 ypc his junior year and most people had him as a first round pick. I think Derrick could be a good player at any one of those positions. Besides, look at the pro garbage that threw him the ball for most of his career - Michael Robinson (NFL backup running back) and Anthony Morelli.

Bringing up Chad Jackson support SNIPER's argument more because we all know how he turned out, and you bring up the QB but Butler's stats have been better than Williams' and Norwood's have been similar so other than Williams' impressive "combine" numbers, even that's debatable, he has nothing on any of his teammates.

What's his excuse for this year? And why does Deon Butler have a career 15 ypc if it's the QB play? What about Jordan Norwood's 12.5?
To have Derrick Williams as your #1 senior WR when he's the third best on his own team is laughable.

I like the Lions picks, but I'm hoping that the Lions take Smith over Bradford. With Culpepper and Stanton we have 2 QB prospects and if 1 can show any potential to be good the next order of business will be to draft the safer pick at a very important position. If Stanton and Culpepper dont work out we should be in top 5 the following year and in a position to either draft a QB in '10 or trade for DA.

Smith is a mauler thats who I want for San Francisco.
I like Rey a lot, but I think in San Frans case that would be much more of a luxury pick. OT is the biggest need, so I would say either Andre Smith or Michael Oher. If both of those are gone then probably Brian Orakpo. Not saying Rey with Patrick Willis would not be scarey. I would just rather use that pick to add someone of greater need.

Dont like the Wells pick to Seattle, would rather Crabtree.
If Oher is still on the board it's a no - brainer really. Great pick.

Then I'd rather have William Moore outright.
I was just gonna say precisely the same thing. With Curry of the board and no projected trades I think Moore is our best bet, given that neither of the big 3 offensive tackles fall deep.
I'm liking the Broncos' pick.

Wells is a great pick for the Seahawks but I think that the Seahawks need a #1 WR so bad it's hard to imagine them not going for one in the first round. If they were to get the fourth selection I think their best move would be to trade down and try to get Crabtree.

I'm just assuming that Crabtree won't run well at the combine, if he has a good combine I agree with you the Seahawks should take him at #4. Right now I think that #4 overall is too high.
