Well, I figured it should be starting considering I'm going to an NFL football game today and it isn't up yet ;)

Go Browns.

If the Broncos don't win tonight, this team is out for the count. Don't count out a blowout win, and at the same time, don't be surprised if we just do the same thing we've done every week

31-13 Broncos

If the Broncos lose tonight, every single team in the AFC West will be below .500. That's sad.

I didnt know it was possible to have a division worse than the NFC West.

Anyways, i'm looking forward to seeing Brady Quinn start tonight. He's facing a terrible defense but then again he is starting off 3 days notice, so it's going to be interesting for sure..

I like the Cutlers and I like Brady Quinn, hate cleveland but it the game is in that hell hole so I guess I'm trying to say that the team that scores more points than the other team is going to win the game.

Please, please, PLEASE don't go 0-3 in 3 straight divisional games. We need to quit unraveling. The offense seems lost since Josh Reed got hurt, it's ridiculous. And somebody other than Poz and Bryan Scott has to find their way into the backfield. Preferably somebody whose job it is.

Like many others, I wish I had the NFL Network. I'd like to see how Quinn does tonight. I'll just have to wait until he's under the lights at the Ralph next monday.

Ryan Torain gets the start tonight!!!!!!!!!

Everyone else is injured... we didn't have much choice.

I was at the Miami game and he was a non-factor, though his opportunities were very limited. Hopefully we'll see him bull through some tackles tonight...

Tonight were going to see Quinn beat up on the Broncos. Th Broncos have no film on Quinn and that will work to the Browns advantage. And O yea the Broncos pass defense straight up sucks.

Quinn will throw a couple TDs. Every Browns fan will overreact and think they have a savior. I'll have to remind them all that they claimed Charlie Frye the savior only 2 seasons ago.

There really arnt enough Steelers fans in Columbus.

Great TD pass by Quinn in the face of Dumervil pressure (almost literally), and nice job by K2 to hang onto the ball after the incoming hit (as opposed to pulling a Braylon).

Well at least you can fake a bad running game, you can't fake a bad defense. Jamal Lewis has no right getting 10+ yards on a run on any defense. Even collegiate.

I can't remember a defense so consistently bad covering tight ends as the Broncos. They are fantasy gold for your tight end if he's playing against them.

Also, Ryan Torain couldn't even last until halftime as a starter before getting injured. But I'm sure he still keep getting ridiculously overhyped.

I love how Denver was everyone's trendy super bowl pick, 3 weeks in.

I also recall when early on Jay Cutler was setting the world on fire and considered the front runner for MVP. From what I have seen during the first half, Quinn has looked pretty good. Of course they kept the offense pretty simple for him, making quick throws to his first read (a few to his second read). I have also liked his mobility in the pocket, looking good on the bootlegs and hitting his men in the flats. Also to be known is that this is againts a putrid Broncos defense, but you play the teams that are scheduled against you.

11-06-2008, 09:02 PM
Brady's first four games however will definitely be much easier then his last 4. Once teams get video on him and the Browns expand the playbook for him, things are going to get much harder. Quinn is looking good tonight, but he hasn't had to do much. He does show however nice footwork in the pocket and quick decisions.

Obviously. Worst D in the League. Our top 4 running backs are out. Champ and DJ are out (our whole defense) We started the season great, and are now the worst team in the league. Scheffler just got hurt. The only bright spot on this entire team is the play of the young tackles.

Pretty much. I want to see some of these guys lined up in front of a firing squad. Winborn celebrating a tackle for a 6 yard gain on first down? What a ******. Marquand Manuel couldn't cover a baby with a blanket... he's getting raped out there.

The offense yet again looks like they're not ready to play. Injuries are part of it, but not the whole story. Focus and effort aren't always there. Marshall in particular needs to get his head in the game.

I was watchin online can someone explain this whole Marshall thing?

After he scored he pulled something out of his jock. Stokely ran up and grabbed his hand so he couldn't do whatever he was going to do.

Later marshall said it was a glove he painted half black/half white that he wanted to put on and do the black power salute thing with because Obama got elected and he said "its not a black thing, we're not black and white, we're red white and blue and I wanted to symbolize unity"

I was watchin online can someone explain this whole Marshall thing?

Following the go ahead TD, which won the game, Marshall was going to perform some type of premeditated celebration involving a glove decorated in some political fashion....which he had stashed in his pants.

He was stopped by Stokley before he would have been penalized and made an ass out of himself.

In the post game interview he explained (o so elegantly) what the glove was supposed to symbolize.

The glove wasn't red, white, or blue......FWIW.

Burns336

He's lucky he didn't do it. They would have been flagged and he would have made negative headlines for that.

I don't get why he needed a separate glove in his pants? Why not just wear a black and white glove? Or red, white, and blue gloves? Why throw in the black power salute.

Bruce Banner

I get Marshall's sentiment, but he needed a better write-up for the speech and his reading skills need some work. Or maybe he was just emotional, I don't know.

Browns defense is very good...

Anyways, its unbelievable with the type of night Winslow had (catching a deflected pass, one at his shoes, and many in traffic.) that there are some people in Cleveland who are blind enough to blame it on him and completely ignore that we gave up over 500 yards on defense.

WB or any other Browns fan: how often do the Browns rush Wimbley?

I wish I paid attention more tonight, but I can't recall really seeing him more than once - and that was on his sack. I noticed McGinest more. Given the Broncos' struggling running game with Rogers and those other big fellas on the front line, I would think the Browns would rush Wimbley darn near every play to try and stop Cutler.

Wimbley has completely fallen off the face of the Earth since his rookie year... He doesn't have any other move besides that shoulder duck and it seems that offensives have figured out how to stop that, not to mention he sucks at tackling like everyone else but Shaun Rogers on our defense.

Oh by the way since everyone is talking about fantasy... I had Quinn/Winslow and Jamal going this week...

Never have started more than 2 Browns but my match ups elsewhere sucked and my normal starting RB in place of Jamal is hurt.

I kind of like our chances this week. I'm not favoring us by any stretch, but with Rexy in there, theres the possibility we get one of his good games, especially if Vanden Bosch is going to be in there chasing him all over creation.

We were probably going to lose this one even if we had a healthy Orton, so if theres a game to have Rexy in there.....this is it.

Last summer, Raiders wide receiver Javon Walker offered to return his bonus money in an effort to leave Oakland.

If given that same opportunity today, numerous Raiders would take it, according to multiple league sources.

Players in Oakland are so unhappy with the environment, the losing, the instability, that many would prefer to leave. This is not entirely uncommon around a losing team, but it is more extreme in Oakland than anywhere else.

It is thought to be one reason that Nnamdi Asomugha has been so apprehensive about signing a long-term extension with Oakland, why free-agent acquisition Gibril Wilson would welcome the opportunity to get to choose a new team again, why Walker considered leaving last summer.

Fact: It has gotten so bleak that, just this past week, at least one prominent player actually considered quitting, taking a leave of absence, just because he feels like he cannot take it anymore. He wound up not doing it, but chances are he is hardly the only Raider thinking it.
Damn, i pity them

NFL.com's Adam Schefter reports that Willie Parker has a torn labrum in his shoulder and will likely need offseason surgery to fix it.

Parker's injury could also be more than just a one-week deal, although indications out of Pittsburgh are that Fast Willie is likely to return in Week 11. Still, Parker owners need to hang tight onto Mewelde Moore. Also, Parker's tendency to get injured could hurt his chances of being the Steelers' long-term feature back, especially with Rashard Mendenhall due back in 2009.
