Cocong sucks, you could very well have an elite LB core if you replace him

Gocong does suck. That doesn't mean the Eagles will replace him. They've very high on him. I'd like him as a pure pass rushing LB/3rd down DE, and he does suck in coverage, but there are more pressing needs and the Eagles love him.

Peria Jerry gos to high, and he is a three technique.
Horrible pick for the Falcons.

I keep seeing Crabtree to Seattle and i keep liking it.
Don't the Browns have to go defense in round 1?

I don;t want Lauranaitis for the Rams, we already have a smallish MLB who isn't great at shedding blocks

If they took Wells, none of their fans would care that he doesn't play defense because he plays for OSU.

How about Sen'Derrick Marks or Gerald McCoy (he can declare this year?) for the Colts?

Id rather have Duke if that scenario happens. Harvin is a small speedy return WR. We have so many of them

Not loving the Chiefs pick. Brandon Flowers and Brandon Carr are studs and are going to be our corners for many, many years to come. Corner is not even a top 5 need at this point.
Would prefer DE, OT or WR there instead.
Good overall mock though!

Ya I really wanted to give the Colts McCoy but I didn't think the value was right and yes he is eligible he redshirted his freshman year in 06

A few observations
Darrius Heyward-Bey to Colts makes little sense with the Colts problems upfront defensively. He is a big play threat the offense could use but they've got Wayne and Gonzo so a receiver in round one is questionable. Sen'Derrick Marks is the direction I'd go.
Alphonso Smith is a talented prospect who makes big plays but he is too undersized to go Top 20. A big play receiver would be ideal for that offense and previously mentioned Heyward-Bey would fit that billing. An underclassmen like DJ Moore or Trevard Lindley would be good fits.

I'd prefer...
- Percy Harvin, WR Florida
- Duke Robinson, OG Oklahoma
- Alex Mack, C California
- George Selvie, DE South Florida
- DeMarcus Granger, DT Oklahoma
- Gerald McCoy, DT Oklahoma
And I'm probably forgetting some players. That list was in no order.
If Taylor Mays is available I want him. Other players who had already been selected who I would want would be Crabtree, Maclin, Gresham, Oher, Smith, Hardy, Orakpo, and Moore.

Fenikz, you really think KC will take another corner? Both of their rookie corners are doing well and they have other pressing needs.

5. 49ers - Eugene Monroe OT Virginia
Great pick. If we hit 70 sacks (it's possible) and don't draft a lineman, I'm gonna go ape-****!
15. Saints - Aaron Curry LB Wake Forest
Love the pick. He may be the only person I'd be ok with us not trading down in order to get.

I like Maclin a lot, but I don't feel like he would bring us anything different than Ginn gives us. He's a speed receiver and we need a bigger, jump ball, possession-type receiver that can be a true #1 for us and I don't see Maclin being that for us. I wouldn't be mad with that pick. In that situation though, with the two top corners, Crabtree, and the top 3 pass rushers off the board, I definitely think we will look to upgrade the safety position with either William Moore or Taylor Mays. If Terrence Cody declares, I wouldn't rule him out there either.

Heyward-Bey to the Colts wouldn't entirely surprise me if it happened. Assuming he's got the head on his shoulders to play in the offense, which I think he just might despite playing at Maryland, and the Colts specifically want a deep threat to replace Harrison. There might not be a viable deep threat/speed candidate after Heyward-Bey who can play in the offense.
I probably wouldn't make that move myself, but I can see it and understand it for the most part (although think it rather overkill). And that's not to say I would definitely go for DT instead either, I think it's overblown a bit but would be in consideration.

With Marks AND McCoy available? I don't know how the Colts could pass on both with the issues they've had at DT.
If the Colts were willing to get a bigger/better 3-tech, that could really change things. As it is now though, they are looking for a NT.
Given that, I'm thinking Roy Miller of Texas with their 4th round comp pick plus maybe Georgia DT Corvey Irvin in the 6th or 7th.
Just my current thoughts on it, for as little as they are worth. I know I've changed from my recent mock, as I've given it more thought.

i am in complete agreement with this statement. I would even rather take someone to play RT or a S before I'd want Harvin.
The only receivers I'd be good with for the Bears in the first are Crabtree and DHB. And even then, only if the top pass rushers are gone.

I would say that our absolute biggest needs at this moment are QB, DE, MLB, OT, WR in that order. Can't go wrong with one of those I don't think. As long as you hit those positions you'll be good! People will always nitpick the specific player, but those are our biggest trouble spots right now.

Bad pick for the Colts. They will most definatly draft the best player available on defense or Crabtree or Macklin. The Maryland WR is a reach there.

Tyson Jackson is an outside the box pick for the Titans. Good thinking goin DL.
Could Jackson be the Titans next Kevin Carter? He'd have to show great athleticism to play LE, and instinct tells me he'd be a UT on our DL. But, Jason Jones and Tony Brown have that position down pat. Gotta say he'd rotate at the LE spot with the recently drafted pass-rushers Jacob Ford and William Hayes. Though, Ty Jax's drafting would likely mean the loss of Kearse and Dave Ball, who've played very well considering their low expectations.
Either way, I'll never argue against the drafting of a DL! :) At least you didn't give us Harvin!

I am not feeling the William Moore Pick in the 1st for the Bills.
I like him as a player but I don't think we can be taking a S in the 1st rnd when we need a pass rushe/OLB/TE....
Whitner and Simpson are a solid tandem - Simpson is still trying to get back in the flow of the game after missing a whole year.
Our defense needs a pass rusher badly or just a playmaker at OLB (Curry) before we need a Safety.
