Ahhh see this was my dilemma too, that's why I traded in 'Bad Company' like 2 weeks after it came out because I wasn't too into it, as well as GTA IV and some others so I have about 80 bucks on a gamestop card...Will be picking this up over the weekend, as well as the new midnight club and the new Call of Duty, I've held off on new games but time to splurge.

Yea, I played the demo online. It's pretty sweet. It seems like they focused a lot more on sound in this game and it really payed off.

you are probly right, I loved COD4 and play it all the time, but have been playing Gears 1 latley to get the hang of it and get ready for Gears 2 and I feel that GOW sux even though I loved it at first.

I went to Circuit City and they were out of GOW2. However they had GOW2 the collectors edition. It cost me 77.63!!!

It is pretty cool; the metal case is really sharp. I always take a dump before I play the game just so I dont crap my pants when I play it for the first time. The collectors book was good reading material while I was dropping a deuce.

I've been playing it all day. I didn't have work today so me and my buddy have been playing the campaign all day. It's crappin amazing. Best game ever. This game would honestly be worth buying the system just for it. I am a guy who only plays Madden and NBA2k, but this is the one non sports game that I can keep on playing. I even got this before 2k9.

The story has been absolutely amazing so far. The game is basically the same, but the first one was also the best game on the 360. New weapons are sweet, looks absolutely amazing. They took a near perfect game and made it perfect. Love it.

The little subtleties they added puts the game over the top. Like different ways to stomp out an opponent. Different areas to saw a guy down. And best for me is the ability to crawl when you are wounded. The graphics are sharper, environments are more interactive, in general just amazing. That level inside of the huge worm, was ridiculous.

It's amazing how good that level was with so little fighting. I still can't get over how good the story has been.

Tai and Carmine dying almost made me cry. The whole Tai thing freaked me out.

God this game is great. Live and campaign are outstanding so far IMO. The new guns are sick. I love to play horde mode with 4 friends. I like most all the levels and Im happy they brought back 5 levels from the first game. Going to have a clan on GameBattles. Gonna go top 200 hopefully

I totally agree with your point. Getting good teamates randomly in Team slayer is rare. I have friends who are good, and we all got to 50s so i still play. Yeah Halo 3 also dosent make any sense sometimes (Sword kills not counting, Double beat downs etc..) the game aggravates me more then any other game sometimes, but ill aways love it more then hate it.

It's the ability to connect to other people. So if you have some type of Firewall or unauthorized router, it will stop you from connecting with other people with a firewall or unauthorized router.

We had about 12-15 people in a Halo game once.

It isn't quite connection issues, NATs are changeable, unfortunately in my apartment, I can't do anything to change it.

2. Ummm, I think it is improved some. I guess it depends.

3. You can set this option now for randomish. At least, I think the spots are the same, but weapons will be different.

I'll disagree with you on 3 though, I loved it. Increased strategy, you had to battle through for weapons, how to get them, what to do next, etc.

Anyone else get to play this game yet? I've got Gears 2 and Resistance 2, they're both great games and should not be compared to each other because the way they're played are completely different. I was wondering more if anyone has played Resistance 2 and what their impression is of it?

In my opinion Resistance 2 is my favorite exclusive PS3 game to come out so far, it's not better than MGS4 or Little Big Planet but Resistance 2 is easily my favorite game to come out yet. The end of Resistance 2 makes the game stand out far above any other game to come out in recent memory, it makes you realize that Insomniac isn't afraid to be different from the rest of the crowd, and makes Resistance 3 my third most anticipated game for the future (behind Mass Effect 2 and Final Fantasy 13.)

Thanks to piracy I was able to beat GoW2 about 3 weeks ago on my moded 360. Didn't play online 'til the other day though cause getting banned from Live is no fun.

Unrelated, I've also beaten COD5 already too. Its pretty solid. I just think that any fps game without a cover feature is missing something and COD5 certainly is. Its a sick game. They stopped being little bitches with the gore this time around and the game starts out with a dude putting a cigarette out in a guys eye then slitting some throat followed by that guy getting owned by some other guy. You can also actually blow limbs off and its money. The anti-tank sniper rifle is the best for creating a bloody mess. Its pretty sweet having a Japanese campaign in a WWII fps for once and not the typical europe stuff. I wish they had of included an Italian campaign with a British/Canadian character rather than just the Japanese American campaign and the Russian German campaign.

Oh yeah, Jack Bauer aka Kiefer Sutherland is in the game as your sergeant for the American campaign which makes it all the more epic. Funny too kind of because he is Canadian...

Yes and no. I'm pretty sure you can't do a versus match splitscreen with bots. But I know horde works offline, so you can splitscreen and fight together against enemies.

Anyway, I'm not done the campaign yet, but wow, the story is really engaging me.
When I found Maria, I found it difficult to watch Dom do what he had to do. I could feel the pain he must have been going through. It was ridiculous. Big change from the first game, which was just kill kill kill(not that there's anything wrong with that, gears 1 was amazing).

If you can do Horde, then you could do Bots. You just make it a local multiplayer match, both of you are on, sign them in as a guest, and you can set bots.

The weapons are amazing... My favorite gun in the game shoots through walls its pretty damn sweet.

Now you are probably thinking, well that is cheap, a gun that shoots through walls! But the thing is, your enemies get them, and you'll be in a huge fire fight (The fights are HUGE, if anything its an understatement) and you'll go to try for cover, then you start getting blasted through the walls by the Auger, its awesome.

Yeah, when it showed Maria all ****** up I was kinda disappointed and creeped out. The second has a way better story than the first where you are actually doing more than detonating a light mass bomb.

I just want the third to come out now and I want to find out what the deal with Marcus' dad is, why the queen practically looks human and wtf the deal with the sires is. My theory is that locusts are just genetically mutated humans and Adam Fenix is somehow involved in it in a real ****** up way and Marcus is gonna have to do something to his dad despite saving him before the first game which is how he ended up in that jail at the start of the game.

The games actually got a pretty solid story going for it. I just hope the whole carmine dying crap doesn't continue. I thought it was kind of funny how they made a joke out of jack ripping doors and doing stuff and how whenever they say it someone will say something like, "you know what that means..."

Yeah, it's a beta so problems were to be expected but Treyarch is supposedly coming out with a patch soon after release to fix the major issues.

4 and 3 are that close. Very fun, the action really gets back to what was fun about the series.

Oh..my goodness. I've been playing the hell out of the demo and it's absolutely AMAZING. The game is going to be absolutely wonderful. (Notice a trend here? heh.) I mean, the campaign levels in the demo were great, so I can only imagine how great the game will be with custom maps, and additional user made content.

i just really liked DMC4, the story was amazing, kinda thought Nero was lame, didnt really have alot of moves, but Dante's weapons were amazing

Yeah you can download the demo from Steam. That is Valve's client to download and buy any of their games.
