As a Bills fan, I want our first pick to be a DE. Our pass rush has been absolutely pathetic, Schobel is showing serious signs of age, and Kelsey is a bum. It is unlikely that Angelo Crowell will be retained in the offseason, so we will most likely draft a LB in the 2nd or 3rd round (along with a Center). At this juncture i know its hard to pick, but which OLB's are likely to be available in the 2nd, as well as the 3rd round. My two favorite guys at the moment are Marcus Freeman and Tyrone McKenzie.

McKenzie has the benefit of having played for our LBer coach in college when he was at Iowa State.

Do you think thats why we drafted Alvin Bowen last year?

Jonathan Casillas, Sean Weatherspoon, and Sergio Kindle, just to throw a few names out. I think Casillas might fall though.

Where do you guys think Freeman and McKenzie are at now, 2nd rounders? What about Anthony Heygood?

Best of the rest.
Marcus Freeman Ohio St.

Sean Weatherspoon, and Sergio Kindle, just to throw a few names out.I think Weatherspoon is elite enough to go in the 1st potentially, same with Kindle depending on what OLB/DE come out. Guys like Clay Matthews though it all depends on if one considers him a OLB or OLB in a 3/4. Guys I listed are more natural OLBs but Matthews now that you mention it could easily be a fine OLB in a 4/3 as well.

Sintim will be a good pro. Gotta agree with Heygood.

There are 3 top guys: Maualuga, Laurinaitis, and Curry. Anyone after them at this point in time is late 1st early second at best. Now after workouts the picture very well could be different. LB is a position where you can get guys later in the draft because the guys that generally go earlier are the guys with the measurables. This leaves a lot of very good prospects available. LB just doesnt seem to be a high priority early in the draft unless they are special talents. I'm starting to get off track a little but I thought I should add some input that there definately should be quality LB's available in the 2nd and 3rd round.

I am a big fan of Sintim. I am pretty sure he is grading out in the second round right now by most but I'd have no problem if the Skins took him at the end of the first.

curry or eric norwood. norwood can play lb and rush the passer. curry would add some bulk and athleticism to a soft slow bunch. norwood would also add some size and bulkas well as an added dimension as a situational edge rusher and blitzing lb. its already a soft team and now you want to give the bills guy another slow unathletic scrub like maaluga or laurinitis. figuring buff will be around mid table id say 15th pick kindle would be great as a lb. hes like norwood but superfast. in the second rd id say curry or norwood if available.maybe spikes. may not be at that point. 3rd rd maybe mckenzie. i also like "the dirtiest player in the game" robert henson from tcu or scott mckillop from pitt in the later rds

Norwood is highly unlikely to come out.

maybe not. but i see hi as a rd 1 pick. and the whiff of those millions is aluring. hes a better than advertised athlete. i got a couple of their games, all you hear is norwood all day. he has proven pass rush skills and proven ability to play lb. he just has to look over at brinkley for an example.pretty close to home. i see he and kindle as the best two lbs available. kindle the better athlete, but norwood more bulk. i think hes going to work better than expected.

I think Connor Barwins speed and athleticism (Former TE) could afford him the switch to a 4-3 SLB or 3-4 OLB.

As much as usual speed guys only rush the passer, he plays smart... and being that he was a decent former TE, I'm thinking that he could probably cover the TE's (Within Reason, not K2 but, most of the others).

And he could be a passrushing specialist/blitzer.

Just a thought.

i like him 3rd rd. he could be a 4-3 olb in a blitzing scheme, or possibly eve=n a 3-4 olb. much better than brian cushing

Haha I LOVE your video on your avatar. I really hope by the way that Weatherspoon somehow lasts to the mid part of the 2nd round so the Colts can get him. He would be an outstanding OLB in a Cover 2 system.
