Whos the best blocking TE? I remember people saying Daniel Graham was at one point.

He's still great, but he just doesn't get anything else done. He's helping out cutler a lot, but he doesn't really do anything but block.

I still cant believe that so many people still spell his name wrong. I dont think Jimmy was serious but, I see that a lot. It's not that hard.

Same thing with Keith Bulluck. Most people still spell it Bullock.

There are a ton of TEs whose only purpose is to block. So probably one of them.

If you were to ask for the best combination of receiving and blocking, then Jason Witten would be the one.

Shockey's the most dominant blocker amongst the two way TEs in the league when healthy, but when does that happen anymore? I loved watching him just stop Ware in his tracks last season. He makes some mental mistakes but more often then not he just takes his guy out of the play.

Yeah Im not gonna thank you...When it was edited wrong. Jason Witten brings more to the table than Blocking unlike Kleinsasser. Jason Witten is probably the most reliable hands for Romo. Where Kleinsasser just mainly blocks and doesn't catch that often.

Bengals TE Reggie Kelly is essentially a third offensive tackle. He rarely makes a catch but is a fantastic blocker.

Shockey when healthy is one of the better blocking TE's in football and in my opinion a better blocking TE then Jason Witten, Whitten is defenitly the better pass catcher

I wasn't serious about Jason Witten at all. Everyone jumped on him at once so I continued the trend. If I had to give the guys who I thought were predominantly on their respective teams for blocking I would have to say:

Jim Kleinsasser
Steve Heiden
Todd Heap? I don't know. Seems like it these days.
Jeff King
Bubba Franks
Brandon Manumaleuna

But Jason Dunn was probably the best blocking TE ever.

Mikey Ditka?

Also Todd Heap has been brutal as a receiver this year with a one game exception, but has developed into a very solid blocker....not exactly what were paying him for though.

Mark Breuner could push for one of the best blocking TE's. Guy was drafted in the first round and thats all he did. Thats all he's still doing for NE.

Yeah, John Gilmore has been doing blocking almost exclusively. Manumaleuna was a great blocker in St. Louis, and has been continuing that in SD. Breuner, King, and Kleinsasser are all very good as well. Graham is still pretty good, but I think he's come down.

I don't see how people think it's Witten. Sure, of the elite TEs, he's easily the best blocker, but not overall.

I don't know about him being the best but he does deserve to be in the conversation. The problem is that everyone overlooks him because he is such a disappointment as a receiving tight end so they think he must suck at everything.

+rep for correcting an admin's extremely silly mistake. Bruener was still a first rounder, but with the Steelers and not nearly as high as Brady.
