View Full Version : 2007 Mock Draft--looking for some advice

03-02-2007, 10:20 PM

Hey all, this is the second mock draft I've done. Last year I had an okay one, but not great by any means. Anyway, I'd really appreciate any advice, feedback, compliments, insults, or whatever you feel like saying about it. Thanks in advance.

give the bucs spencer and weddle and then a great mock draft, otherwise solid

Houston won't take a 1st round OT unless Joe Thomas somehow is available to them, and he won't fall to #8 and the Texans aren't going to trade up, so no 1st round OT. I would think they would easily take Jamaal Anderson if he's there and Peterson is gone, Leon Hall, Amobi Okoye, and even Patrick Willis would also be options above Levi. Brady Quinn would probably also be picked over Levi, although I don't want to see them do that. Brandon Meriweather is a great pick in the 2nd round. Kareem Brown isn't a bad 3rd round pick, but if Ryan Kalil is there they'd easily take him over Brown, and David or Ryan Harris would also be more likely candidates.

That would end up well for the Bucs

Bad Eagles picks. In the first, we would go DE with Charles Johnson. We will not draft a LB in the first round, unless Patrick Willis falls to us. the second round pick would either be Brian Leonard or John Wendling. Our third round pick would probably be a CB.

giants wont take bush round 2, especially if everett is there. we have a good shot at signing rhodes, and if we do, we wont go RB untill maybe 5. like the first and third picks though!

I like all 3 rounds for the Vikings

Gaines/Rice/Weddle Great Day 1

The Pats are gonna need a lot more WR help than Paul Williams. Rufus Alexander probably can't play inside or outside in the 3-4 as well, give us David Harris there.

"They still have a big need at T"
No way we take a T with 12.

Good overall mock for the Bills

Grubbs is a big reach at #22. And your reasoning makes no sense. We dont need a DE or TE especially in the 1st! If you are making this pick based on the premise that Henry is moving over to FS, than give us a CB!!

Green Bay's isn't too bad in round 1 and round 3 and I don't know about the 2nd rounder but I don't know who I would replace him with

Nice pick with Nelson, Timmons is also a possibiliity there. Also we won't take a TE early.

Round 2 Thomas is a bad pick, he has character problems and even if we wanted him he may fall back to day 2. Irons or Wilson would be better, we need a CB. Maybe Rufus Alexander with the saftey pick in the 1st.

Great job with the Browns...

1. Peterson
2. Blalock
3. Smith

For some reason I'm getting a sense that Smith just won't be a Brown, but if he is I can't complain at all, especially in Rd. 3. If not him give us some d-line we definitely need it.

thanks for all the help so far, im still in the learning process about a lot of the players and team's needs which is why some of them seem like they don't make a lot of sense, Thanks so far though guys

If you give SF Carriker in the first then Gonzalez in the 2nd it would make SF's draft better. But other wise pretty solid

The Jaguars are a team with few needs, and safety is one of the most glaring. Give them Nelson, especially considering the front office has stated publicly that the team won't draft another first-round receiver.

I do like Meachem, though.

And then I'd take Steve Smith in the 3rd. Great value, and WR is a bigger need for the team then CB.

Beason in the 2nd is just fine.

The Jets won't draft 2 rb's in the second round and are more likely to use their second 2nd rounder. I think Ross is a better fit at corner for the Jets than McCauley. As for #6 in the second round they HAVE to address DL. How about Harrell from Tenn. as a sleeper there. If Leonard is there at #25 in the second round, he'll be a JET. Makes too much sense.

yeah that's one of the parts of my second round i hate the most....the jets picks i plan on changing that.

Bad Cowboys Mock

03-03-2007, 10:31 PM
jamaal anderson or adam carriker are better picks for the niners in the first

03-04-2007, 08:47 AM
good redskins pick

03-04-2007, 09:48 AM
Dwayme Jarrett and Tony Ugoh are awesome picks but give KC Duckworth in RD 3 due to impending possible retirement of Will Shields

03-04-2007, 09:51 AM
Earl Everette for giants in 2nd, Harris is great in the third, in the first Revis is a good pick, but it depends on what he does at his pro day if he does average or worse I think the giants would go with Chris Houston

The Raiders have no choice but to go QB here.
Advice: Ignorant comments like this one don't do your mocks any favors.

Sears in Rd2 is a waste. We have our starting tackles in place already. We just drafted 2 guards, and I'm not sure Sears is a good fit for a ZBS anyway.

Pretty good titans pick.

03-04-2007, 10:16 PM
Either of your 9er 1st rd alternatives are a bigger chance than Ginn

03-04-2007, 10:49 PM
bad cowboys draft. Grubbs is a reach. then you have us taking two linebackers when we probably wont even draft one first day.
Merriweather in the first, Ugoh in the second and Dline in third not sure who though
