7. San Francisco 49ers (3-7) - Brian Orakpo // DE // Texas
Can't agree with this one while Monroe is still on the boards.

14. New Orleans Saints (5-5) - Senderrick Marks // DT // Auburn
Curry or trade down - which will probably yield Cushing or Mays

8. San Francisco 49ers (3-7) - Derrick Williams // WR // Penn St.
Hmmm, I agree with the position, but I'm not convinced he is a second round guy as of yet, not that it isn't a need.

I doubt we grab Ahmad 2.0 over WILLIAM MOORE, DHB, Selvie or Duke Robinson. The on type of running back we definately won't need is an explosive big play back. I could understand Shady or Moreno to replace Ward or a guy like Shon Greene later to replace Jacobs, but not a Bradshaw clone.

For the 1st round pick for the Colts, I like the fact that you have us going after a position of need at CB, but I would rather have them draft DJ Moore from Vandy. Moore can play CB very well and can also return kicks which we need.

For the 2nd rounder, I might rather have DT Evander Hood than Moala. I wouldnt even mind possibly.

Bears- Maclin- Not over Greg Hardy
Shaughnessy-Loadholt, Boone, Herman Johnson if Hardy in first. If not, well I guess Shaughnessy is good.

Great Cardinals picks, went BPA and we filled positions of need, very much like what Graves would do

LOVE the 1st round pick for Miami!! Darius Butler is a nice pick at the bottom of the 2nd, but who is Connor Barwin and why is he worth a 2nd round pick!? I would much rather have Iglesias there instead at WR. Cushing would play OLB for us most likely and switch inside every now and then, but with him, there would be no need for Barwin and a true #1 is a much bigger need. I don't see Kam Chancellor in this mock so I'm assuming you don't have him declaring, because he would surely be a 1st or 2nd round pick if he did. SO in that case, I wouldn't even rule out someone like Courtney Greene there instead of Barwin as well to upgrade our secondary further.

with curry of the board either trade down or when you dont trade please pick monroe.
On a slightly different note, is the reason that you put OT with monroe and oher whilst you either put LT or RT with all the others because you doubt their ability to play the blind side or is it just coincidence?

Once I saw a SLB going top 3 I couldn't take this seriously but I guess I'll try. Maclin is a horrible pick for the Bears. Hardy, Everette Brown, Monroe, Black, DHB are all better picks in the first. Loadholt or Herman Johnson if we go DE in the first which we absolutely should. Not a great mock for team needs.

First rounder is awesome as always. Britt in the second is also solid though a bit early I would think.

Orakpo is a great player and a need, but OT is the greater need and with Monroe still on the board e has to be the pick. I really don't the WR is actually that big of a need anymore. Saftey, ILB, and NT are greater needs right now imo.

I'll usually list the position where they are going to play for that team. I didn't know off the top of my head which tackle spot he'd take over immediately.

I think Maclin is a legit borderline top 10 talent and where the other guys besides perhaps a E. Monroe would be considered big time reaches at twelve.

We have a deep threat and returner in Hester. Maclin would be a very bad pick. Ted Ginn is better than Maclin and Ginn didnt deserve to be a top 10 pick. No way Maclin will go top 10 unless to the Raiders.

Ok.

[b]12. Buffalo Bills (5-5) - James Laurinaitis // WLB // Ohio St.
Would replace Ellison at WLB.

14. New Orleans Saints (5-5) - Senderrick Marks // DT // Auburn

Would pair with Ellis, who I think is versatile to play at NT

20. New England Patriots (6-4) - Everette Brown // DE // Florida St.

Offers value and legit rushbacker for the future on their roster.

23. Indianapolis Colts (6-4) - Alphonso Smith // CB // Wake Forest

The team loves to draft cornerbacks early. Injuries have destroyed their current ones and their long-term future with the team is questionable

26. New York Jets (7-3) - Tyson Jackson // DE // LSU

This might have been a mistake pick, I thought they had a bigger hole here. I did not realize Kenyon Coleman's contract.Nonetheless they could use an upgrade at the position.

30. Philadelphia Eagles (f. Carolina (8-2) - LeSean "Shady" McCoy // RB // Pittsburgh

Their running game is most effective with a many man rotation and its clear Westbrook can't handle the load for himself. More of a Buckhalter/Lorenzo Booker replacement.

I'll respond to the other ones later today when I have more time.

I think you are selling Maclin incredibly short here. The comparison to Ginn is an interesting one, but Maclin has at least 20 pounds on Ginn and at least an inch as a prospect.

Or......look at our needs and give us the pass rusher we so desperately crave.

I understand that you guys have a logjam at wide receiver, but its mostly #2/#3 types with little potential to become a #1 (besides maybe Earl Everett). I think most will agree that a bonafide #1 wide receiver is needed and that is what Maclin projects to be. Also, the value fit quite well. But that is all opinion and wanted to share where I was coming from. I understood the DE position, and that is why I gave one in the second round where value of the player seemed to fit better.

Steelers draft is perfect. Just keep sending us OL.

WR and CB also need adressed, unless we sign B-Mac and Washington. DL could also use some new blood.

Ill be very disapointed if we miss out on Ciron Black by 2 picks.

Ok,

I just thought it odd that the Saints would draft a DT that early two years running.

I don't think the Colts would draft a cornerback early for precisely that reason. They're already drafted so many.

The running game is also most efficient when the coach is willing to run the ball.

As for the Jets, DE is a possibility, but I think I'd rather see them get
a safety (both starting Jets safeties are free agents)
a RB (Thomas Jones will be entering his 10th season next year)
a WR (to replace Laveranues Coles)
or a ILB (to replace Eric Barton, who will be a free agent next year and is getting older.)

Nice Denver draft, though I'm starting to wonder if Spencer Larsen is a long-term solution in the middle for us.. If he continues his solid play, we might go in a different direction with that first round pick.

Need-wise, D.J. Moore or DHB would make more sense than Selvie, but all three guys are studs, so I can't complain.

Iglesias is a good pick at the end of the 2nd, assuming WR isn't addressed in the 1st.

But Maclin doesnt run routes. They dont run a lot of reverses and bubble screens in the NFL. Maclin will take several years to develop.

I'd love for the Panthers to get Herman Johnson.

Its not as much of a need as a DT or potentially OT/DE/CB, but he would be a big upgrade over Keydrick Vincent, who has been solid but unspectacular.

Good mock.

If the Bears take Jeremy Maclin over all of the good first round DEs on the board here, I will walk around punching babies in the face and kicking puppies in the ribs for a straight week.

If the Bears take Maclin over Monroe, Mays, Mack, Black, Smith, Heyward-Bey, Moore, Robinson, or a trade down, I'll throw molotov cocktails at Jerry Angelo's house.
