I was wondering what you guys thought of Jordan Gross. Is he a franchise Left Tackle?

haha, he is an above average left tackle, but really is a better right tackle.

He is usually very consistent in that he is usually on the field. The Panthers went a few games without him and did pretty well though. He is very susceptible to speed rushers.

He's one of those guys that you're never really upset with...but you're never really singing his praises either. He's a decent run blocker but he's one of those guys that just backpedals as much as he can in pass pro. Won't be worth the contract he gets in the offseason but he will help whoever gets him

No way! He's a good left tackle and can play there for a long time but he'll be the type of left tackle that you can just put him out there with little to no help week in and week out and not have to worry about the QB getting hit from behind.

ummmm no. He is a top 5 RT and a average LT.

He's a much better RT, I wouldn't expect anyone to be throwing money around at him to be a LT either because he's very solid on the right side.

I would enjoy that as well....but only if we fail in pursuit of Suggs.

I hope the Steelers wont be stingy with their money and try to sign this guy. Either Gross or Carrey I will be happy with.

didn't the Dolphins already resign Carey? don't quote me on that but I think I recall hearing about it....

He's a probowl calibre Right Tackle but a mid range Left Tackle. For a team like the Raiders, he'd be a godsend. For a contender, he'd be just another face.

I'd love the Steelers to sign him and slide Colon to RG. I'd completely love the move. Would do wonders for our line.

Sadly calling someone a top 5 right tackle doesn't mean as much as it used to. The right tackle talent in the league nowadays is pretty bleh.

For most teams, you just need a mountainous run blocker over there who can get a hand or two on a pass rusher if need be. Its why Loadholt will still go on the first day even though he looks like a confused mental patient when trying to pass block.

Id take above average over Kwame Harris every day of the week.

I'll be the third Bears fan in this thread to pine for Gross. Pretty doubtful, though. :(

I would rather have a fetus on my offensive line than Kwame Harris.

Him and Joe Staley would look very nice :)
