ROUND ONE

1. Detroit Lions - Matt Stafford, QB Georgia
Detroit has a lot of needs. Might as well start at the most high-profile of these and take the guy with the Elway arm.

2. Cincinnati Bengals - Andre Smith, OT Alabama
If they don't get an OT, Carson Palmer's going to be out for most of next season, too. I think they've had enough of Ryan Fitzpatrick to see the light.

3. Kansas City Chiefs - Brian Orakpo, DE Texas
Larry Johnson stays. Gonzalez stays. Let's play the "Tyler Thigpen is an NFL QB" game until he proves that he's not. If they don't need a QB, their biggest need is obviously a DE. They get no pressure on anyone, and Orakpo is just the animal to help fix that.

4. St. Louis Rams - Michael Oher, OT Ole Miss
Orlando Pace is done. Retired, hurt, whatever. The Rams need someone to be there when he inevitably can't take the field.

5. Seattle Seahawks - Michael Crabtree, WR Texas Tech
They need a FS. They need a CB. They need an OT. They need a RB. They also have no one to catch passes. Bobby Engram turns 91 next season, too.

6. Oakland Raiders - Eugene Monroe, OT Virginia
Al Davis nods off during the Bengals pick, muttering only "pick that kid with the fast 40 yard dash" as his chin hits his chest. His underlings look at eachother, decide they need a tackle, and plan to argue to Al that they thought he was referring to Monroe's 5.25.

7. San Francisco 49ers - Sam Bradford, QB Oklahoma
Alex Smith refuses to renegotiate his contract and is cut. He signs elsewhere. Shaun Hill is pulling a JT O'Sullivan right now. A few good games to start off, then disappears.

8. San Diego Chargers - Rey Maualuga MLB USC
There isn't a G, NT, or 3-4 DE worth taking this high, so they grab a guy who will make multiple pro bowls on the inside of their LB corps.

9. Jacksonville Jaguars - Malcolm Jenkins, CB Ohio State
The Jags need a corner. Drayton Florence was not the answer.

10. Cleveland Browns - Aaron Curry, OLB Wake Forest
Orakpo's gone and Curry just edges out Davis.

11. Green Bay Packers - Michael Johnson, DE Georgia Tech
Best player available AND the Packers need someone on the side of the line opposite Kampman? That ought to work just fine for Thompson.

12. Houston Texans - William Moore, S Missouri
They could use a DE, but the secondary in Houston has been composed of utter fail forever, Time to get cracking on fixing that.

13. Buffalo Bills - Greg Hardy, DE Ole Miss
Aaron Schobel's injury really exposed the rest of the Bills pass rush for what it is: just plain bad.

14. Chicago Bears - Everette Brown, DE Florida State
The root cause of the Bears secondary problems is DE. Opposing QBs are putting up insane yardage through the air because there's no hurry to pick a receiver; they can wait for someone to find a way to get open.

15. New Orleans Saints - Taylor Mays, S USC
Curry's off the board, so I think it's more likely they trade down and take Cushing, but I'm not going to presume to make a trade down for anyone in this draft. Someone's going to jump down my throat in any trade scenario. Everyone is cool with trading down, but no one ever wants to be the team that trades up.

16. Philadelphia Eagles - Ciron Black, OT LSU
Pretty simple. At least one and probably both of Philly's starting tackles are leaving.

17. Miami Dolphins - Vontae Davis, CB Illinois
I'm sure watching games in which there are big passes is fun, but probably not when it's your team getting torched. The Dolphins give up 7.4 YPA. Not so good.

18. New England Patriots - Victor Harris, CB Virginia Tech
Sure, they need a replacement for Harrison, but what safety could go this high? Corner's a definite need, too, so they get one.

19. Washington Redskins - Brandon Spikes, MLB Florida
There isn't a DE that fits their defense worth this pick, so they replace Marcus Washington with a guy that can play any LB spot. Washington's cap charge is 6.52 million next year. He's getting cut.

20. Denver Broncos - James Laurinaitis, MLB Ohio State
No safety left here, so they take the perfectly good 4-3 MLB.

21. Arizona Cardinals - Chris Wells, RB Ohio State
James is out the door, and Hightower is obviously just a short yardage back.

22. Minnesota Vikings - Jason Smith, OT Baylor
Ryan Cook is bad, bad, bad, bad, bad.

23. Detroit Lions - George Selvie, DE/OLB South Florida
He needs some bulking up for the 4-3, but it's not like the Lions are going to the playoffs next year and he's worth it to them. He can be a replacement on pass rushing downs until he's big enough to play full time.

24. New York Jets - Knowshon Moreno, RB Georgia
Leon Washington's not a feature back, and Thomas Jones is getting rather old.

25. Atlanta Falcons - Terrence Cody, DT Alabama
No SS worth taking here, so Grady is replaced.

26. Indianapolis Colts - Sen’Derrick Marks, DT Auburn
Duh.

27. Baltimore Ravens - Darius Heyward-Bey, WR Maryland
Derrick mason is getting very old, Mark Clyton has been invisible since 2006, other than the Rams game. Time to give Flacoo a future #1 target.

28. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Jeremy Maclin, WR Missouri
Joey Galloway's got maybe a year left before he decides it's time to take up golf and get away from the rigors of keeping in NFL shape.

29. Philadelphia Eagles - Jermaine Gresham, TE Oklahoma
No safety worth the pick. Some of you may say that LJ Smith is good. That's nice of you; It's just not true. Good second TE, maybe. Good starter, not so much. It's about time that the Eagles commit to surrounding McNabb with actual weapons in the passing game. Yeah, that's right...McNabb. If the Eagles ship him off without having a fire sale and going into a 4-5 year rebuilding mode, they're dumber than the Lions. I've never seen a fan base in more oof a hurry to kick a good QB (not average, not slightly above average...GOOD) out of town. Kolb's shown nothing but suckiness to this point. DeSean Jackson was a nice start, but more is needed.

30. Pittsburgh Steelers - Duke Robinson, OG Oklahoma
They need an OT AND an OG, but Duke Robinson is the best G prospect to declare since Steve Hutchinson. I don't think I'mm too far out of line already saying that this guy is probably going to make 6+ pro bowls. They'll grab a tackle later.

31. Tennessee Titans - Alphonso Smith, CB, Wake Forest
I'd give them a WR like every other mock, but we all now they won't take one.

32. New York Giants - Brian Cushing, OLB USC
I'm not going to lie and say that Cushing is amazing or whatever, but hell. The Giants don't really have a need other than a body to replace Danny Clark, a little more DE depth, and a replacement for Ward, who will likely go to another team.

ROUND TWO

1. Detroit Lions - Ebon Britton, OT Arizona

2. Cincinnati Bengals - LeSean McCoy, RB Pittsburgh

3. St. Louis Rams - D.J. Moore, CB Vanderbilt

4. Seattle Seahawks - Rashad Johnson, S Alabama

5. Kansas City Chiefs - Alex Mack, C/OG California

6. Oakland Raiders - Kenny Britt, WR Rutgers

7. New England Patriots - Patrick Chung, S Oregon

8. Jacksonville Jaguars - Herman Johnson, OG, LSU

9. Cleveland Browns - Darius Butler, CB Connecticut

10. San Francisco 49ers - B.J. Raji, DT Boston College

11. Houston Texans - Brandon Graham, DE Michigan

12. Green Bay Packers - Jamon Meredith, South Carolina

13. Chicago Bears - Phil Loadholt, OT, Oklahoma

14. New York Giants - Clint Sintim, DE/OLB Virginia

15. Buffalo Bills - Jonathan Luigs, C, Arkansas

16. Philadelphia Eagles - Derek Pegues, S Mississippi State

17. New England Patriots - Connor Barwin, DE/OLB Cincinnati

18. Miami Dolphins - Kam Chancellor, S Virginia Tech

19. Denver Broncos - Michael Hamlin, S Clemson

20. Arizona Cardinals - Russell Okung, OT Oklahoma State

21. Minnesota Vikings - Chase Coffman, TE, Missouri

22. Miami Dolphins - Percy Harvin, WR Florida

23. Green Bay Packers - Mike Mickens, CB Cincinnati

24. Atlanta Falcons - Brandon Pettigrew, TE Oklahoma State

25. Indianapolis Colts - Juaquin Iglesias, WR Oklahoma

26. Baltimore Ravens - Trevard Lindley, CB Kentucky

27. Dallas Cowboys - Max Unger, OG/C

28. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Peria Jerry, DT Ole Miss

29. Pittsburgh Steelers - Sam Young, OT, Notre Dame

30. Carolina Panthers - Vince Oghobaase, DT Duke

31. Tennessee Titans - Brandon LaFell, WR LSU

32. New York Giants - Javon Ringer, RB Michigan State

Just on the basis of your mock, I would rather go with Maclin/presumably Jerry than Marks/Iglesias for the Colts. This is why BPA is key.

However I think Marks/Iglesias is the more likely of the two come April, just on who might be available at the picks. You might be a bit down on Maclin and Jerry, I think.

Thomas Jones is getting rather old.

And still leads the AFC in rushing, WR and corner are way bigger needs.

umm...nice effort man, but why do we grab two OLBs and first Day RB? Jacobs has already said he really wants to stay and will sign a reasonable contract to stay so I don't see RB being a first day need at all.

Plus I can't imagine us passing on Eben Britton with our first pick, that kid should be a top 10-15 pick but if he slides to us I think we'd gladly grab him as we have no urgent needs and getting a LT to groom would be great for our depth and future.

A draft I'd love a lot more for us would go:
Eben Britton, OT
Kam Chancellor, S
Will Davis or one of the Englishes, DE or even a big DT like trading up two spots for Vince Oghobaase.

As for bodies to replace clark we have those in spades, names are Kiwi, Goff and Blackburn with Kehl playing well at the will.

OT + WR= Nice raider picks

22. Minnesota Vikings - Jason Smith, OT Baylor
Ryan Cook is bad, bad, bad, bad, bad.

21. Minnesota Vikings - Chase Coffman, TE, Missouri

Very good Vikings pick in round 1, with a great reasoning, but in round 2, I'd rather have Mickens or Lindley.

7. San Francisco 49ers - Sam Bradford, QB Oklahom
Why draft a rookie Qb with no one to mentor him and get him beat up. If we cant get one of the top 3 OT's or Crabtree, we'' probably go with the best DE on the board or perhaps (and this is a big maybe) Malcolm Jenkins.

Show me one NFL draft in the last 15 years where someone hasn't traded up or down in the 1st round - it happens. That being said, I agree with your first sentence.

10. San Francisco 49ers - B.J. Raji, DT Boston College
Even if we did draft Bradford in the 1st, we would surely get him some line help in the 2nd and with Meredith and Loadholt right there, they would be better picks.

From a Bengals fan's standpoint, I would love Smith and McCoy. It can be debated whether or not we need a Left Tackle, but a talent like Andre Smith is tough to pass up regardless. He's the type of player you find a spot for. LeSean McCoy would be a great addition to our offense. Nice job there.

Rey Rey, Michael Johnson and William Moore in the top dozen are really bad choices but i guess they're popular picks.

I do like the Crabtree to Seattle pick.

Two major needs taken care of there. Great Raider picks.

I cannot describe how good I think Bradford is and will be in the NFL but the 49ers are just not going to draft a QB if Shaun Hill keeps up his play for the rest of the season

Would much rather have Jason Smith with the first pick

Love the Gresham pick

Not bad for the Steelers. Robinson is an A++++. But Young...ehhhh. He's got potential, but he's a jag bag. Nothing that can't be fixed tho.

Very nice Phins mock. You had me until the Percy Harvin pick. But we all know Florida's receivers suck and Harvin will bring nothing new to our offense. We need someone big to compliment Ginn, so LaFell would be the more logical choice for us there in that situation.

Very nic KC mock. Putting Mack at Guard or Center is a good thing. Nice mock sir!

spikes is an intriguing pick because he is a guy versatile enough to play inside or outside. would be tough for danny to pass on beanie wells though thats for sure. and id hope theyd take serious looks at jason smith and ebben briton who i thinkings way too late in this.

A+ KC mock. I love the Orakpo pick and I'd be very happy snagging Mack that early in the second to play corner or guard (probably guard).

Nicely done.

WIW perfect Chiefs draft

Macho is a great first rounder and we really need DB help, but I would love it if we took Spikes there.

Sometimes, mockdrafters dont make trades, because they are mostly unpredictable. so stop asking people who dont predict trades to make trades.

You got the positions right (except I don't think corner is a need), but I'm not liking the players much.

We are actually pretty decent at LB right now without washington, we need offensive line duke robinson would be a much better pick.

I like DJ Moore over Alphonso Smith because of his punt returning abilities.

LaFell in the 2nd is cool with me.

WR and CB are needs, and you addressed them. +Rep

Can't argue against Spikes.

We do need some OL help though.

Terrible first pick, number one need is a RT. Second pick is a fine, but make it a OT in the first.

5. Seattle Seahawks - Michael Crabtree, WR Texas Tech
They need a FS. They need a CB. They need an OT. They need a RB. They also have no one to catch passes. Bobby Engram turns 91 next season, too.

You know...watching the Seahawks today reminded me that we are actually are a good team. Their backups (basically) managed to take the Patriots to the wire and Josh Wilson had a heck of a game. With his only big miscue (that I noticed...he might have had a couple on Welker) coming when he was playing one on one against Randy Moss (who was shut down by Marcus Trufant for the most part). The only way we take a corner (later in the draft) is if we take a bigger guy who can handle those taller receivers. There really isn't much to say about the Crabtree pick, I approve of it.

4. Seattle Seahawks - Rashad Johnson, S Alabama
I doubt we go with Rashad Johnson. For one, Phil Loadhalt is still on the board and he is going to be an OT in the league. For another both Mack and Unger are on the board (OG/C types). The most likiely reason is that we are likely going to lose Leroy Hill to FA so taking an OLB here would probably be the smart move.

Chung is also still on the board at this point and if the Seahawks were to go S in the 2nd I'd rather have them take him then Johnson.

The Chiefs need Brian Orakpo. Great pick!
For round 2, I like the Mack pick, but I think Rudy is ok at C. What KC really needs is a RT and I would absolutely LOVE it if KC got Phil Loadholt.

You sure Wells is anything more than a short yardage back?

JK decent pick, I think the O-Line is our #1 priority though, Doubt anyone is gonna be very effective behind it, Jason Smith in the 1st would be great then in the 2nd some interior help mostly at C, Siendline has played terrible and seems to be regressing

We are actually pretty decent at LB right now without washington, we need offensive line duke robinson would be a much better pick.

why do you want duke? we drafted rhinehart in the 3rd last year and coaches have said good things about him. randy thomas still has another two years or so before he needs replacement whereas we need an OT way more. jansen and heyer suck and samuels seems to be slowly getting worse too.
