With corners from Alphonso Smith and above gone, I like Maclin there. Good job.

Good call on Crabtree to Seattle but no big surprise there.
I like how you think outside the box with Herzlich going to Miami, not sure if he comes out but great player and great value there. Thank you for not having Michael Johnson in the 1st round, good for you.

I think the Vikings getting Bradford at 25 would be ok................ok, I'd be quite happy.

I honestly don't think he'll fall that far, but I don't know where else he'll land besides the Vikings (assuming Detroit passes on him). KC, San Francisco, and Houston all have more pressing needs, and I don't think Seattle or St. Louis will spend their top 5 pick on him with Hasselbeck and Bulger still standing.

Very good mock, I love Bradford to the Vikings, especially if he would fall that far, although I don't see it. I also am not quite sure about Black at 10 and Herzlich going that high, but other than that I have no serious problems with that mock.
great jets pick. not enough people are giving them secondary help. +rep

I'd much rather see Michael Johnson, Tyson Jackson or Vince Oghobaase as our first rounder than Cush. Not that a stud OLB wouldn't help us, just that a OLB helps us exactly as much as a DE and both of those DEs have higher ceilings than Cush and Big O is just a beast at another position of relative need.

OT is the right position for the Pack. I think you're overrating Black though.

9. San Francisco 49ers - OT, Eugene Monroe, Virginia
Good pick. As I continue to look at things I must admit I'm tending to lean towards some alternate draft options. I may decide to change our 1st round priority to DE, but still a good pick.
16. New Orleans Saints - OLB, Aaron Curry, Wake Forest
The logical pick. Alas, I fear he will be gone by 16 and I still hope we trade down, acquire picks and get Cushing late in the 1st.

Detroit needs an o-line before we can take a qb. smith or oher with the first pick. if mount cody falls to our 2nd pick we would take him. when we traded rodgers we lost the big run stuffing dt we need. its more important than mlb right now.

Not liking the Laurinaitis pick for the Pats so much. William Moore, Alphonso Smith, or Brandon Spikes could be better selections there.

He means premier as in elite, not like a movie premiere.
As far as Stafford vs. Smith, that's a debate for another thread, but I believe if you have the chance to get a franchise QB like Stafford, you grab it. Especially with this deep OL class. Terrance Cody is not a first rounder, and I would be surprised to see him go at the top of the second round with the Lions' next pick as well...

been there did that. didn't work. atl and bal have decent o-lines so their rookies have a chance to throw the ball. put ryan on the lions and he is on IR or the bench because he can't escape the pressure. culpepper hasn't played bad considering every throw he makes he has 2 guys in his face. if we used both 1st on o-linemen i wouldn't be unhappy.

We would take Spikes there.

That could possibly be the worst thing the Lions could do. The defense is atrocious and could use an upgrade at any position, thus the BPA in Spikes. Without a first round talent in this draft, the defense is going to continue to be just god awful. The offensive line could use some reshuffling and attention in this draft, but not two first rounders. They can still grab a solid player in the second or third round, but they only have one shot at a QB in Bradford or Stafford, because the talent really drops off at the position after them. Culpepper is not the long term solution.

Culpepper sucks. We need a Franchise Qb, Stafford is that. We can draft Alex Mack in round 2 if anything and start from there.
