sorry if this is in the wrong place, but I felt it was big enough news to warrant its own thread

Odd that he transfers after committing to Michigan less than a year ago, but if it was because of family issues, then it's understandable. Hopefully he'll land in a fortunous situation at his new college in Texas.

Best of luck to him and his family. Michigan has more than enough talent at RB to move on though.

Minor and Brown should carry the load next year, assuming Brown can ******* stay healthy for once. Grady sucks ass.

Not sure why McGuffie is worthy of his own thread outside the transfer one but I'll play along. He did look like a pretty good one.
Just wanted to note Sniper. I'm really hoping RR pushed hard for Corvin Lamb out of MNW next year in light of this. Check his tape, he makes Jeffery Demps looks like crap. I'm really hoping to see him go anywhere but Urban Meyer country.

He needs to get into the Big-12 and switch to WR. I said that at the beginning of the year and i'm sticking to it.
Somebody find out what school he's transferring to! I will be at every game next season if he becomes a Texas State Bobcat!

Since this was just his true freshman year, he can probably afford to sit out a year at a bigger school like Texas Tech or TAMU.

Sorry Ward but I believe his favorites are Texas A&M, TCU, Houston, and Oklahoma State

Hes defininately plenty good enough enough to get immediate PT at any of TAMU, TCU or Okie State as at least a 3rd down back and M pretty sure hes wants to eventually go pro which means hes better sitting a year then going to an FCS school.
Not to mention if family problems are the reason hes transferring, he mite be better served sitting a year and working those out and be ready to make a big impact the next year.
He also had two concussions this year (reported, I think it was actually three), so a year off would definately help.

EDIT: http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/6163554.html
McGuffie, a freshman with the Wolverines this past season, told Rivals.com that he’s considering transferring to Texas A&M, Texas Tech, TCU or Oklahoma State. He said he considers A&M his front-runner, and that he’s transferring because of a "number of factors."
"(A&M) was one of my top teams last year," he told Rivals. "I have a former teammate, Chris Lathrop, that signed with them last year and he loves it. I talked to him a bunch about it."

I knew it, as soon as I heard about him rumored to transfer A&M immediately popped into my head, I like the fit for him, especially with Goodson leaving...Will be nice to see him in the Big 12 which was where I was hoping he's stay anyway.

Anybody know if Stonum is looking to get out of Ann Arbor? Him and Mcguffie were the big Texas recruits that went up there last year.

Its a mystery where he is taking his hurdle too. Should be an explosive player and a nice pickup for any school he chooses to attend.

Lamb?
Lamb wants to play RB and Miami wants him at WR. He is the only MNW kids that is not all Cane.
back on topic, I heard McGuffie could end up at Grambling

No way a player as talented as McGuffie with 3 years of eligibility remaining and a redshirt year to burn goes to a FBS school, especially one that never contends for a National Championship like Grambling.

Didn't A&M just recruit a 5 star back? I don't think they need McGuffie.

Rice will be good when he and the Alabama QB are eligible to play.
Big pickup for David Bailiff.
