I know there has probably been a thread on this but who in your guys opinion is the top pass rusher regardless of defense 34 or 43, the guy who can get after the QB the best with multiple pass rush moves and a relentless motor?

Everette Brown

In terms of just all around game and production, its hard to argue against Orakpo right now.

However, I think if Everette Brown does enter, he could maybe be the top pass rusher.

This will be a strong DE class. If you go to the Rankings the top 5 DE are really good. I think the one player to keep an eye on is Michael Johnson. People are saying with this great athletic abilities he could be a great pass rusher. Expect him to be one of the greatest DE ever, or to be another bust.

Michael Johnson and Brian Orakpo.

Orakpo has it all IMO, great strength and athleticism, can bull rush, uses his hands extremely well, and plays with a motor and attitude.

If he declares early I think Greg Hardy is the best pass rusher in the draft. Great pursuit, he is more than a one trick pony in terms of his moves, uses his hands well, strong, explosive first step, good length, athletic, decent motor. He has pretty much all the tools to be a top notch pass rusher as long as he stays healthy and stay out of his coach's doghouse.

+ 1

Then Brown, then Selvie, then Orakpo.

I think Orakpo's a tad overrated honestly, but I still consider him a top prospect.

Mr. Brown, He's got great quickness and speed and always seems to be around the QB on pass plays.

Agree with Hardy, that kid is awesome. But I doubt he'll come out this year due to the so-so season he had while dealing with injuries.

I would rank the top 5 like this:
1. Hardy
2. Brown
3. Orakpo
4. English
5. Johnson

Orakpo looks like a Ware or Merriman type of freak - big, fast, explosive. So definitely him.

I don't know if Selvie is a first rounder because of various concerns, but I really like him as a pass rusher. I wouldn't call him the best, but it's another name to throw out there, as I think he's extremely close.
