I was kind of hoping for Griffith but I guess Askew is a decent option.
That's awesome. He's a perfect fit for us, and he definitely is cheaper than Griffith.

Thats true. He should make for a decent west coast offense FB, which requires somebody who can be an all round back, not just a lead blocker.
I'm assuming that Jerald Sowell is not returning.....
BJ is pretty much an insurance policy that will maybe get 3-5 snaps a game. I'm sure he's a good special teamer, though. The thing I like about us is that we always look for backups that can play special teams and it usually shows.

Thank god, he was pretty awful on the Jets. He didn't really do anything, and was a waste of a 3rd a few years back. He is a decent special teamer, but he is not a good starting FB.

I think all of that was in return for Testaverde.
I don't think we ever cared that they took him. I think we would've preferred Steve Young.
