OK, who do you think be at the top of the following categories and what do you think they will get

40 time
Vertical Jump
Bench Rep

I'm gonna say

40- Maclin 4.27
(Chris Johnson 2008- 4.24)

Vert- Jarret Dillard 43 inch
(Carl Stewart 2008- 39 inches on the broken vert measurer)

-thats dillard doing 42 in feb of 2007

Bench- Brian Orakpo 36 reps

I'll go Jeremy Maclin for the 40, running a 4.31. Taylor Mays at 4.33. I think Harvin will be at 4.34.

I think the vertical will go to Dillard if he does match that 42 inches, though Crabtree should hover right around 40.

The bench could go to Orakpo or Michael Oher, who I expect right above 35 each. Because of Orakpo's shorter arms, I'll go with him. B.J. Raji should be interesting.

it would be ridiculous if Mays ran faster than Harvin, but i wouldnt be surprised if he did.

Harvin ran a 4.34 coming out of high school at a Combine, and has put on a bit of weight since then. I expect him to run just about the same. I expect Mays, a former track star, to live up to that hype with his 40, which he will be well-trained on.

For those doing research based on high school speed, Mays' 40 times his senior season were hurt because of a lingering hamstring injury. He was a AAA state championship in both the 100K and 200K in school.

yeah, everyone brings up the fast track at USC, but i think Mays is gonna live up to his hype.

I think it'll be close between Maclin and Heyward-Bey for the 40 time. It might be some small school or track guy though, who knows

Trindon Holliday a senior this year? he might be at the combine.

The fast track may inflate the actual number, but there is no question Mays can fly. Pete Carroll has identified him as his fastest player over Ronald Johnson and Joe McKnight in particular

Junior, I think, but Jacoby Ford (I think I remembered that correctly) and C.J. Spiller, both who competed against Holliday in the US 60m finals, are other guys who could run low 4.3. Devin Moore might, too, although my guess is his 10 yard split with be ridiculous with his 40 dropping off a bit (to high 4.3, low 4.4).

Jacoby Ford is a junior and unlikely to declare. Next year he'll likely get an invite to the Combine, and he has the most realistic shot at breaking Chris Johnson's combine record;

.. tabbed as the "fastest player on the east coast" by Rivals.com...had the best 40-yard dash time at the Fork Union College Coaches Combine with a time of 4.126...Fork Union Coach John Schuman calls Ford "the fastest player ever at Fork Union"...Fork Union has produced 87 NFL Draft picks and two Heisman Trophy winners over the years...

As a junior in high school at the Nike combine DHB ran a 4.38 forty and as a junior was 5th at nationals in the 100 and 200. Vernon Davis came to Maryland running in the 4.6-4.7 range and ended up running in the 4.3's. Heyward-Bey will run the in the 4.2's guaranteed. Mark it down now, quote me, do whatever you need, but I guarantee he runs sub 4.3.

Last time I did this I think you predicted Andre Woodson being the first overall pick. Needless to say, you failed. I'll do it again ;) Even though you're probably right

Bring it on, haha midway through last season my prediction was looking pretty good, then it all flattened out at the end of the season through the senior bowl/combine, etc.
