**** off. I don't care if ESPN thinks it's a big deal or not, they're a bunch of idiots. Going up behind a woman doing a job and doing the party boy then playing it off is juvenile and pathetic. I always thought Rey was a bit of a douche and this just confirms it.

No that is still sexual harassment, even if she's not "pissed about it." We'll find out if she decides to take any action. I do know they pulled the video off youtube.
It'd be one thing to do this at a party or a celebration, but to do the party boy while she's doing her job and then play it off? Yea that's soooo sweet.

There's a fine line between having fun and taking things over the line. I disagreed with what he did, obviously you guys don't. There's a reason why they took it down on youtube, if it was such "good clean fun" it would still be up there.

i don't know what the hell party boying is, but the rythmic motion in which he was moving would be considered dancing. yes it was behind her. he didn't touch her, or grind on her, she was working at the Rose Bowl, which is a type of "celebration" or "party," it was something that happened in the moment, and wasn't devious, the only thing this could be considered by people like you is "in poor taste" ... There will be no sexual harassment charges filed, that I can guarantee.

Don't see how dancing on a woman as she is doing her job qualifies as "good clean fun." I call that sexual harassment.
If it was at a party or something and he did that to a girl, I think it would be funny. But she was doing her job, and that stuff is uncalled for IMHO. Wouldn't surprise me to see Erin take action on it. I think she's hott to fellas but to me that stuff is crossing the line, regardless if Rey was just "trying to have some fun."

Oh I have, have I?
I think you need to get off your high horse and come down to reality. If you think there was something malicious behind what Maualuga did, then your perception is skewed. But I wouldn't put that past you as your sense of humor couldn't even pick up that my post was a joke by saying that this increases his draft status. Had I said, "Go Rey! Show her what a real Trojan man is!" then maybe. But to say that I think any form of sexual harassment is ok or funny is so wrong it's insulting.
Have you ever seen Maualuga in an interview or anything? This is his personality. It's the same type of childish behavior when Shaq O'Neal makes faces in an interview when the reporter has her face turned.
That's probably not the first time Rey and Erin have interacted before. Think maybe Erin Andrews, who was the sideline reporter, interviewed or talked with one of the most prominent players on USC? Maybe she knows what he's like, and has the ability to take a joke and shake her head as he acts like a crazy person? I doubt she's as uptight as you are.
If you don't think it's that funny, then that's fine. But don't make it out to be something that it's not, and don't you dare judge me nor anyone else in this thread who's mind doesn't instantly cry malevolence when they see the ******* party boy dance. It's the party boy dance! It's existance is the result of a guy joking around on Jackass. It's not like he grabbed her leg and started dry humping it. There are a million worse gestures he could have made.
I always thought Rey was a bit of a douche and this just confirms it.
That would be called sexual harassment.
It's not sexual harassment, and you need to take your axe to grind to another thread. Harassment is subjective up to a point, and since you're not Erin Andrews, you have no ground to claim that she was being harassed sexually. To one woman, winking will make her feel uncomfortable. To another, she could be fine with a guy putting his arm around her. You obviously have no clue how serious of an issue sexual harassment is, as much as you'd like us to believe.
I understand the trials that a female reporter in sports must go through, and I have the utmost respect for the women who work in this profession. But, your fake chivalry to induce sympathy for your argument is pathetic. While she is technically at work, her work is a field reporter. She's not in an office or behind a desk - she's at a football game. A big part of her job is to interact with the players. Sometimes she'll get the professional coach. Sometimes she'll get snickered at by some immature kid. Sometime a crazy player will do the "party boy" dance when she's not looking. This is not the same thing as a manager of an office grabbing the butt of a co-worker.
Just...wow man. Wow...

Depends on what your definition of good clean fun is. Not too many girls would appreciate what he did. We probably dont see anything wrong with it because none of us would mind if a girl went up to us and did that because we would probably end up wanting to take her home once we found out she likes us.

No way the bolded parts aren't joking. If any guy wants his daughter to be ugly, then he's an idiot.
The difference between this and your example is that my girlfriend isn't a well-known reporter. This isn't like he walked up behind some random girl after a game and did that. He walked up behind a known person and did that, which only suggests more that it was a joke.
If a guy did do this to my girlfriend, my reaction would vary. If it's someone I know or she knows, then I'd wait for the guy to look around to gauge my reaction after doing the dance. If I know he was joking, then I probably wouldn't care. If I don't know if he was joking, I'd give him a look that suggests, "It's probably not in your best interest to do that again," and hopefully he gets the picture. I trust he won't go against Guy Code and do anything else after I give him the feeling that he's crossed the line.

We have had a huge discussion about it in one of the other threads that if we had a daughter we dont want teenage guys doing what most guys do when there is a hot girl and so we hope the daughter is ugly. It was an interesting couple of pages of posting.
Just because her job is in the media and people see her it doesnt mean they know her and makes it okay. Most probably havent met her at all. If Rey did that to say, Michelle Obama, he would get swarmed by a million secret service people. Michelle is a known person like Erin is.
If you give him the look that gives him the feeling that he crossed the line then it means what he did wasnt good clean fun and you are giving him a warning for it.
I am not saying its sexual harassment and its definitely not something to press charges about but it was inappropriate on Rey's part.
