Hey,

I saw that iTunes is going to make all of their songs available without DRM copyright protection.

Does anyone know if that will be retroactive? I have a bunch of songs I've bought from iTunes and it would be nice if they removed the protection.

itunes has had an itunes plus section where the songs do not have that protection. A limited list but still some good choices. And i think I remember reading somewhere in that help section that it will check your itunes library and see if it is up to date. I guess to see if any of the songs that you bought are now in the non-protected section. O and they were still 99cents

They have the purchase histories so you think they'd be able to just go through and automatically replace the protected copies with DRM free ones...

What's, um, DRM?

I've had difficulties with my quality of songs I got from Itunes so now I just stick with the movies, I download all my music and CD's on my own and manually upload them to my ipod with the usb cord.
