I can see it now-just as I wake up from my shock induced coma after Stafford falls but is taken one pick ahead of us, I slip back into it after we miss out on Mack as well.
Pretty melancholy day one for Bears fans. Id like more impact in the first two picks, sorry. Unfortunately I could see it happening. Wait..nooo,it cant be....Jerry?

That's a decent Phins draft, but I'm not a HUGE fan of either player to be completely honest. I would prefer a combo of Cushing/DHB or Nicks or Britt over those two and then take the top CB available in the 3rd. Mack also wouldn't be a terrible 2nd round pick if he was still available there liek you have him.

Maurice Evans in the 2nd? The same Maurice Evans who got caught with marijuana and spent practically the entire 2008 season ridin the pine? Yeah, that's him! I very much doubt he's a 2nd rounder. ;)

I really like the draft for the 9ers.

Curry could slide into the WILL position and allow Haralson to be a quality backup.

Delmas is certainly a good free safety and would be an upgrade over Roman at FS. I would personally give us Derek Pegues from Mississippi State though.

Cards need O-line help before a LB or RB, I would even be tempted to take Davis there as he is a huge steal and along with DRC would give us a great young duo.

1. Interior Line
2. Pass Rushing DE/LB
3. RB
4. CB

LOVE LOVE that Steelers draft...would fill two major needs. Obviously the Duke would be a major upgrade to our o-line, and with Bryant McFadden likely to be gone, CB is a bigger need that most think. Great picks.

...

Im gonna do this on every mock i comment on, post the Steelers needs, just to help along.

1. OG
2. OT
3. CB
4. DE
5. C

Jets should be happy they get the next Elway/Aikman/Palmer/Manning with the 17th pick. I'd say that's pretty good value.

I dont like the Colts draft at all. For our 1st rounder give us MLB Brandon Spikes. Then forget the trade because if Sen'Derrick Marks is available in the 2nd we will take him.

That redskins trade is beast.

Britton at 20 is a nice pick also.

the Giants second round is pure sex. Like amazing. The problem is, I'd probably kill myself after the first round pick and not be around to see the 2nd round...

there's no way KC passes on Brandon Spikes in RD 2

Stafford falling to 17....hmmmmmmm. As I Jets fan all I can be is happy. As for Evans in round two, meh, not a horrendous pick but a few guys you have available that I'd like more.

1. Spikes - not sure how other Jets fans feel about this, but I love the guys
2. Nicks - we need a playmaker on the outside
3. Mickens - I like him despite having some issues in the Orange Bowl. Also having another Mickens in Green and White would give me good kinds of flashbacks

Not liking this mock very much. Only receiver worth consideration in top 10 is Crabtree, end of story. Jason Smith is arguably as good of a fit for our offense right now as any other elite tackle so I'd take him. Meredith better projects to guard and two great receivers (Britt, Nicks) still on the board so it would be hard to pass the two up, unless it's for Mack who's also good value here.

Terrible Denver draft. There's no way Denver picks an offensive player in the first round. They have to rebuild their entire defense. Everette Brown, B.J. Raji, Rey Maualuga, Brandon Spikes, Vontae Davis or Michael Johnson would all be better options. In the second round, Darry Beckwith is a reach. Give us the best available defensive player.

Basically agree. I'm not as high on Crabtree, but that's more about the system he's coming from than anything.

A Jason Smith/Hakeem Nicks draft is a certifiable win in my book.

Great Jacksonville draft. Smith fits a big need and Spikes looks like the BPA at that point.

Lovin Everette Brown to da Bears. Render is a new name to the mix though.....G help is needed so not bad.

A physical WR like Nicks would also be a good pick.

I definitely like Stafford to the Jets, but Evans in the second is a head scratcher. You obviously felt strongly about it with the trade up, but where is he playing? I can't see him starting regardless of what scheme we play, so I'd be curious as to why you made that move.

In this situation i can't see the saints not trading, stafford for 'sale' and a couple of other players as well. Dont be suprised if we trade out of the first all together.

I don't like the fact that the o-line was not adressed in the first two picks. It needs to either be OT FS or FS OT.

Love, love, love, the Skins trade and the pick of Britton at 20.

Not too sure I like the trade with us not getting a 2nd in return. If we trade back then it would be better to get a 2nd because tons of talent will be available in the 2nd this year.

Love, love, love, the Skins trade and the pick of Britton at 20.

Not to be too nitpicky but the Redskins get slightly ripped off in that trade with the Lions. Give them pick #129 instead of #180 and then it is more fair (1150 pts vs 1158 pts) according to the draft chart on this site. Generally the team that is trying to trade up gives up something - 8 draft value points is not too steep a price IMO. The skins pick is a good one though.

Any other omissions that I may have left out of the first two rounds besides Herman Johnson?

Also, I need to re-evaluate Maurice Evans.

I think I will put out another mock after the junior deadline.

Thanks to everyone who commented on my mock.

12. Denver Broncos (8-8) - Chris Wells, RB, Ohio State
44. Denver Broncos (8-8) - Darry Beckwith, LB, LSU

Two guys with durability issues?

Wells is a fine talent but I think Denver's had its fill of RB's sitting on the IR. I didn't particularly like I what I saw from Beckwith this year.

Selvie is an alright pick, but the Giants have other needs. It's been the common thing to just give the Giants a DE, but we are stockpiled already with Tuck, Osi, Kiwi, and even Dave Tollefson has shown he can play in limited duty. They need help at LB. I don't like the pick of Myron Rolle. Kenny Phillips and Michael Johnson have the safety positions locked up.

Solid KC picks, but like T-Rich said, we probably wouldn't pass on Spikes if he is there in round 2.

According to Scott, Raji doesn't fit the Tampa 2 mold. DHB could be good at that spot.

Nicks is great in the second.
