Usually it's 5 guys isn't it?

I'm guessing Stafford, Andre Smith, Crabtree for sure.

The other 2 guys I'll have to see who are the clibers from combine time to Pro Day. But probably Orakpo and either Taylor Mays or Malcolm Jenkins. They should choose Mays to give the Left Coast a little Love.

They often seem to like to have the QB though, who's stock falls and falls.... Rodgers, Quinn..... good for their ratings.

Who are your Fab 5 Picks?

Stafford, Bradford, Smith, Crabtree, and Beanie.

If there's a sixth, I'd say Curry.

Stafford, Bradford, Crabtree, Andre Smith, and the fifth one if there is five I'd say would be Curry or Jenkins probably.

Bradford, Stafford, Crabtree, Jenkins and Smith. Although I think if they bring this crew in you could have the Quinn problem is Bradford falls. I hate seeing that...

No way Bradford gets invited. Has he even declared yet? Still no way. Just no.

Stafford, A. Smith, Curry, Crabtree, Jenkins. My guess. Only 2 of those guys are top 5 locks though. We'll see.

Why do you say that there is talk of him going #1 or #3?

I think the number of invites varies. I would say Andre Smith, Eugene Monroe, Aaron Curry, and Matthew Stafford, . Crabtree if he runs sub 4.5, Jenkins if he runs well, too, and maybe Mays if he runs sub 4.4.

What? How do you figure that? The heisman winner and possibe top 5 pick doesn't go?

I am going to big with the top 6 guys from bigger programs.....I don't know if Arron Curry gets invited based on the fact that very few ppl really care about Wake Forest football.

My 6 are:
Stafford
Smith
Wells
Crabtree
Orakpo
Maualuga

They will all go in the top 12 or so unless they have horrid combines and Orakpo/Maualuga are bigger media darlings than Curry/Monroe/Jason Smith.

Why wouldn't you by just talking to him you feel better about yourself. The guy even has kids named after him.

Maualuga? lol, he's more likely to go in the 20s than he is to go in the top 5.
Orakpo I don't think is gonna be the first DE drafted, let alone one be considered one of the top 6 players in the draft, but it's a long way to April.

Why do you say that there is talk of him going #1 or #3?

Because he's a Soph who just won the Heisman and made the NC. Lots of hype to go around. Very few scouts/evaluators have seen enough tape and analyzed his game enough to make an accurate projection on his draft status. Scouting starts with the top Juniors in the offseason going into their Sr. years....not in the middle of their Soph years.

Bradford is a huge risk to present another Rodgers/Quin situation...no one wants that. There's a ton of spots in his game for teams to be wary of : arm strength/zip, athletic ability, playing in a shotgun spread, lack of experience, losing many big games. His physical make-up screams 2nd-3rd round pick, so this top-5 talk is pure hype. If he declares, he will get his fair share of criticism and will find himself dropping like most other QBs once the dust settles. Brady Quinn and Brian Brohm were top-3 locks going into their Senior years.....people said Troy Smith would go top-5 as well after he won the Heisman.

Bradford is the Heisman trophy winner. He will be there.

Don't even get me started on the # of Heisman trophy winners who never sniffed the first day let alone the podium on draft day. That's hardly a reason to invite him. If he's a top 10 lock, then maybe the Heisman will help, but he's not.

The question is which 5 players will be invited to the draft, not who are the top 5 prospects.

Orakpo's not gonna be invited to the draft, he and Maualuga get too much hype on here, they'll go lower than expected.

Oher's stock is actually dropping, he probably won't be anything more than the 4th tackle taken. Stafford getting invited is a virtual lock IMO.

I don't think Oher will be invited either, but again it's asking who will be invited not who are the best prospects.

usually the guys who are invited are told by GMs and executives that they are almost sure locks to be some of the top guys on the board, usually guys thought to be top ten locks.

You've got to think with Tebow's image that they'll at least consider trying to get him (depending on where his stock is come draft time, of course).

if he is not invited ESPN will make sure they have 50 cameras at his house while he is watching the draft

"His stock is dropping"?
Among who? The fan mockers? Or have scouts secret boards been mysteriously revealed? Even when they DO TALK, they lie (before a draft).
How could Oher's stock be dropping amongst the scouts and team GMs?

I get a kick out of the mockster world. They think that all the mocks we do, or Scott or even McShay, are actual scripture or something. LOL

Too early to tell. We don't have a full list yet of who will declare. We also don't know yet how NFL GM's will view junior QB's who declare. We can all say this or that about Stafford, Bradford and Sanchez but we don't really know yet where they all stand in relationship to the top 5.
I don't think at this stage of the draft process anybody can guess who the top 5 invitees will be. Ask me after the combine.

Are there any interesting PERSONALITIES among the possible top-10 or 15 picks?
We know Rey-Rey is intersting. Bring the blonde reporter to the draft....... Erin Andrews.

Anyone else have a lively personality? I think Moreno does.
