I thought this deserved its own thread. Come to think of it, Jack Bauer always deserves his own thread.

I can see it playing out as such:
Jack would tell everyone "I promise you," as he always does, and House will just say "Everybody lies." And then there will be an explosion in a building. Jack will say "Damn it!" and House will smirk and say "Cool."

Looks good. Will never be able to match the utter awesomeness of season 1 of 24, no show will, but hopefully it can match the quality of awesomeness of seasons 2-4. 5 and 6 however, were terrible, but were bearable thanks to Jack Bauer.

I know, right? I find the plot of the show a bit repetitive, yet House makes it seem fresh every episode. It's my favorite show right now because of him.
And word up, Shiver. Killing CTU is definitely a good thing. But making the resurrection of Tony Almeida seem believable could be a stretch.

Well, she might return, but if she does, it won't be until hour 20 or so. However, the wait is worth it.
Another thing I hope they do, which they probably won't judging by the previews, is start the day at midnight again, or at least in the middle of the night.

They said it was unrealistic having Jack Bauer staying up for pretty much 40 hours in a row so that's why made the days begin at 8 am... but we all know sleep is optional for Jack Bauer.
Also, it's not the unrealistic to stay up for that long of a time when you load up on caffeine and you're family's life is on the line.

They could easily sidestep that by having Jack comment to someone in the first episode that he just took a nap in his car or something, haha.
Seriously, people realize the 24 hour premise is gonna be unrealistic from the start. Just make it interesting and stop worrying about logistics.

Oh come on, you know the equation:
As the hotness of a woman on TV or in a movie increases, the necessity of good acting skills decreases.
V = h/a
where V is value of appearance, h is hotness, and a is acting skills. The equation is only valid when h(actress) > h(your average chick), else the equation gets real screwy.

Jack Bauer would've responded to Katrina earlier. As in, immediately.
Also, Jack Bauer would've interrogated Katrina, threatening to rip its eye out before Katrina admitted that it worked for the trade winds. Then Jack Bauer would've proceeded to kick the trade winds' ass. Trade winds dead, no more hurricanes.

Good so far. a few points
1) The EMT's rushed Almeida off? How? IIRC CTU was under some sort of lockdown. And if he was dead, why was he rushed off?
2) Speaking of beauties on the show, Renee ain't that bad
3) So the show lost about a magnitude of brownie points when it was revealed that there's some connection between Almeida's thing and the Africa situation. Of course, this means nothing 2 hours in, since early episodes indicate nothing about baddies in 24. But it's kinda obvious to me that Almeida is a mercenary type who will be out of the picture soon.

2) Good to see Bill back. He's awesome. And TBH, Chloe doesn't look that bad.
3) Another Sengala connection with the faked suicide plot? I don't like all this interconnection - I hope it splits off fast.
4) Prediction: Renee is the mole. Kind of a Nina Myers part deux. Also, I think she's "with" Larry, however slightly.
This season is off to a good start. Well, they almost always are - last season's start was impressive. The problem is when they finish with repetitive crap that dances around with 10 different plot ultimatums for the turn of the hours.

At first I was overcome with the fact that I found Agent Walker to be a stone cold fox, but after the scene where she interrogated that man in the hospital room, I now have developed a slight love for her. She already had me on board with the looks and those supple breasts just waiting to bust out of that shirt of hers, but after i saw her mean streak in her intense questioning sequence i've now become infatuated with her. I've been aroused in a way i've never been aroused before. I would allow her to interrogate me with open arms. While this season has been very good and entertaining thus far, I don't really understand why Jack would be so quick to ruin his standing in the government's eyes by breaking Tony out and "going rogue" with Bill and Chloe.
I don't think Bill and Chloe's reasoning for why they are doing what they do is enough. Kinda underdeveloped thinking. 4 people against both the so-called good guys and bad guys? Umm . . .

I guess it comes down to Jack's trust of Bill. Bill told him Tony was good, he's the one saying there's a pro-Juma conspiracy in the US government. None of this would happen if Bill weren't trustworthy in Jack's eyes. But as we've seen before, if Jack believes something, he's not afraid to act on it, no matter the consequences. That's basically the crux of the series.

That's a good point. They couldn't help it, I guess. They probably figure that Repemption was hours -1 and -0, so it's like revealing a character, not talking about him for some hours, and bringing the character out again. that's happened before in the show I bet.

I think watching my dog taking a **** in the backyard was better then watching season 6. But that doesn't change the fact that season 7 isn't so far pretty bad. So far the day rankings go, IMO:

I'm loving this season so far. It seems to be slowly building up to something. In season 6, they did everything in the first 4 episodes and all the tension evaporated for the rest of the season. Things are slowly happening here and you can feel a real build up to something. The ending of the episode also had a real ominous feel to it. Loved the final shot of Jack, screen going black, and the silent clock with the breath. Loving Season 7 so far.

By Tony yes. The others are single, but you could maybe make a play for Sherri or Kate Warner.

She ain't dead.
But this season is headed downhill. Once they started getting caught up in the personal problems off all the FBI people the show started to suffer.
If she isn't dead, then I'm gonna be pissed. The silent clock is nothing that is to be treated lightly. I'm still pissed that they used the silent clock in the first place for a minor character who's been in the show 3 episodes. If they used the silent clock for no reason, well, something has to be done.

What do you mean? If you're talking about Tony's "death," I actually like the explanation offered tonight. Some other notes:
1) she's baaaaaaaack. oh yeah, her and Jack are totally gonna do it.
2) President Taylor is ******* insane.
3) Just seeing the chemical plant on the preview of the next episode, it's the exact same room from an earlier season, and which one exactly is not coming to my mind.

No I mean because of the silent count ergo she must be dead. When Bill and Chloe get to her her heart stopped ergo she's "dead". Hence technically dead.

Mr. Eko needs to be on 24. BTW it's completely slipping my mind as it was the awful season but I was just thinking the other day but did Wayne Palmer die? I remember him collapsing. I remember him being in the hospital with his annoying sister and all but I can't remember if he died. I'm thinking yes since his VP was the President at the start of this season.

We don't even know if Logan is dead, do we? Haven't they referenced him a time or two so far? Made me think he'll come back . . .

Yeah I know I was just trying to remember if Wayne was dead. Logan I just made the assumption he died because he was slashed by Marty in an artery I believe, but in 24 I guess if they don't show you being killed you probably aren't dead.
