i'd be surprised if blalock is a first rounder come april. his stock has been steadily falling and i see him as a mid-late 2nd rounder. we usually go BPA at a position of need. we don't usually reach for someone, and we would be reaching if we went to blalock. i can't really comment on who to give us, because i can't see ur entire draft. if levi brown is available, then he is the pick. lawrence timmons and aaron ross are both possibilities as well. and if chris houston is there, he will get a look, but i doubt he is.

2nd- James Marten, OT, Boston College

not bad because we just lost tony pashos. offensive tackle has moved up on our list of needs. i could live with this pick.

3rd- Rufus Alexander, OLB, Oklahoma

jarrett johnson just signed a new deal, and it looks like he will be the starter at OLB. this isn't a bad pick though because some depth is needed.

I would love Blalock. He is a great run blocker and he is a solid pass blocker as well. Our offense is based on the running so we might as well get o-linemen who excell in run blocking. Rufus Alexander would be a nice pivkup but no way he falls to the 3rd round. I think we could get a better tackle in the 2nd than Marten. overall its an ok mock.

I hope we arent relying on JJ to start at OLB, he doesnt have the coverage skills nor the stamina to be a starting LB on our D, rotational "tweener" at best.

I think he will start it will be good to see Cody VS. JJ duking it out for starting OLB opposite of Suggs.

I think his coverage skills are above average for a 3-4 OLB. As for his stamina, how can you know this? He's never started and by all accounts he's a very hard worker and those guys typically have the best stamina.

1st Round I am seeing Jarvis Moss(DE) or Joe Staley(OT) for their athleticism
2nd Round OL if they don't OL in the 1st rd, Stewart Bradley(OLB), Brandon Merriweather if he is still around, LaMarr Woodley (stretch)
3rd Round Chris Henry is he is around, Tanard Jackson(CB)

I think we are sharing a lot of needs in the NFL this year...We might be taking PBA at every pick this year in my opinion. Which seems to work better for us though then other teams so I am not nervous. Someone else to look for is Jared Zabransky at QB in the 3rd... I think he is a sleeper no one is really talking about... but he is a winner. Not a guy who is probably going to throw for a million yards or break any records, but he will win and not make mistakes and be a good leader.

My 3rd Mock

#1-Joe Staley- With Pashos leaving and J.O. soon to retire we need some young talent who can start in a year or two. other options - Justin Blalock, Ben Grubbs

#2- Tony Hunt - Heres a guy that i think can handle the starting job right away. He is a great RB that can fall to us and fits into our offense nicely. other options - Kenny Irons, LaMar Woodley

#3- Tanard Jackson - We need some players to challge David Pittman, Ronnie Prude, Derrick Martin, Corey Ivy. I dont want to take a cornerback here but im too lazy to find anthoer pick to take. Josh Wilson could also be considered.
