They hurt a lil a month or two ago, the went away, then i woke up on firday morning and they were killing, and ever since that, they have just gotten worst. Plus i dont want to get them out during school, so ill porbaly have to wait till summer.
has anybody got them removed, or had to deal with the pain for a while, any info would help some.
Never had any problems with my wisdom teeth... And I am one happy camper because of this.. I'm sure plenty of people have, though.
I still have my wisdom teeth. They dont bother me.

I never felt any pain when they were in, but I had mine removed in January. You'll have swollen cheeks for a couple days and only be able to eat soft foods for about a week. It's not too bad.

I got mine removed last year, it wasn't too bad except the gas didn't work for me so I was awake for the whole surgery. All I ate for the first day and a half were thick malts from a burger place near my house. It's nasty and randomly starts bleeding for about the first week then it pretty much stops.

I had mine out last year and it was basically nothing, was eating poutine the same day, just had the dentist do them instead of the oral surgeon. Only had some pill to give you slight amnesia and laughing gas that didn't work for me. They do tend to bleed off and on for a few days, lots of gauze helps to keep it down though. Don't drink out of a straw though, if you get dry socket it hurts like a mofo.
Ibuprofen is really good at dulling the pain you get when they get inflamed once in awhile like you speak of. Oragel or Amblesol worked well for short periods of time for me as well. Sometimes your doctor/dentist can prescribe you something that is stronger numbing stuff.

depends on how far out they were, mine were blocking my 12 year molars from comin in when i was a kid so they had to surgically remove them and cut 2 huge holes in my bottom gums, and then filled them with clay mold. the first 3 days were painful as hell and it took about 2 weeks before i was back to normal eating.... so it all depends really on where they are

I was born without a number of adult teeth, my wisdom teeth being some of them.

I had all four of mine removed in the summer. It's actually quite painless if they completely knock you out. You totally don't remember the rest of that day. The worst part is getting food stuck in the empty holes. After every meal you have to take the crap out. You won't be able to eat normally for about a week, then you'll be ok. If they hurt, you should get them pulled. My cousin had hers pulled, and one of her wisdom teeth had it's roots caught up in the roots of the tooth nearby. As a result, the dentist sweated over it for an hour, and it looked like she had a swollen face for a while after that. ...Not trying to scare you or anything. I have all four of mine pulled in 15 ******s. It's not so bad, but you'll miss like 4 or 5 days of school.

I had mine removed when I was 15. Not a big deal at all.
To anyone who hasn't had them out yet, I would really suggest doing it sooner rather than later. You heal much quicker when you are younger.

When I had mine taken out, it wasn't that big of a deal. It wasn't exactly painful, I would say it was very uncomfortable. Despite the fact that the gums are missing, it feels like they are getting larger and stretching the gums. I had it done on a Friday and was back in school on Monday. A few people noticed my fat (fatter) cheaks and I told them my wisdom teeth were taken out. I ate no solid foods for a day and a half though, stuck with Jell-O (Best stuff, ever. lol) and ice cream, macaroni, and drinks. I woke up and the nurses demanded I take a wheelchair to the car. (only one so far, hopefully my last.) I didn't need one, but they made me. I was groggy and I was told by my mom I was laughing for no reason and talking loudly. When I finally got out of it, I couldn't open my mouth even one fourth of the way it normally does. The surgeon gave me Vikadin (don't know how to spell it) and all it made me do was throw up. So I left the Vikadin go and just took the other pills. I took the antibiotic so it didn't get infected and stuff like that and had to change my gauze once every 30 mins or so. I stopped bleeding when I went to sleep. Recommendation: put a plastic bag or something over your pillow, you don't want to wake up to a pillow with red stains all over it. It took until the next evening until I could eat real food. I basically swallowed bites whole, but it was good. Another recommendation: Macaroni and cheese. It is just right to get some real food while still being soft enough to chew. By the Sunday morning It was basically back to normal except for the cheeks. One more thing that I will suggest, use lots of ice to soothe the area, and it also makes it feel better. Having a fridge with an ice maker made the whole thing a lot easier. I used the ice packs until Sunday night. My neighbor had it much worse though. She had dry sockets, which basically means they cut all the way down to her jaw bone and they had to expose it. She had to go back to the oral surgeon for two weeks, once a day, to get the gauze removed, because it had special medication. Hopefully you get lucky and have one more along the lines of what I had. But depending on whats going on in your mouth, it my be more like my friend. It varies by person, so you may have a completely different experience. Sorry its long, but I thought you should be aware of what is in store for you.
