Roy Miller: 1rst team all big twelve Fiesta Bowl D mvp (over teammate Brian Orakpo) kid is a penatrator! hate to admit it but he tore us up in the bowl game and thought he would get more attention afterwards but havent seen him on many lists. longhorn buddy of mine says hes highly underrated showed me his highlights and im convinced he should play for the browns! lol. 2 min 48 seconds on the video shows his senior year let me know what are your thoughts on the video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNdWRblbNgA
he doesn't look that big but he's fast
edit: he's 6'1' 300 so i guess hes not that small.

I don't understand why he doesn't get more pub than he does.
This is a guy who's produced, plays beside one of the more talked about prospects in the Draft and plays for powerhouse program who have put out premier DT's in the past like Shaun Rogers and Casey Hampton.
Miller will get picked in the middle rounds and will be a solid contributor.
Chris Baker-DT Hampton is another guy that comes to mind.

wide right, from what ihear the only thing holding him back from the pub as the he injure himself his jr season and usually thats the coming out yr. that sets you up for the next yr. something like a high ankle spraign where he missed a bunch of games. But im with you i dont understand but hey someone will get a steal of a pick!

Two players im high on who will probably be late round picks are Nathan Brown/QB/Central Arkansas and Glen Coffee/RB/Alabama. There names are known more than other sleepers but I think they will both be productive late round picks.

Bradley Fletcher
6'2 200 CB 4.45 Iowa
University of Iowa cornerback Bradley Fletcher could be one of the fastest-rising prospects of the 2009 draft. Fletcher, who was mostly a backup and special teams ace for the Hawkeyes from 2005 to 2007, came into the season ranked as a free agent -- he barely cracked National Scouting's top 800 senior prospects. But things began to change for the better when he won a starting job last summer and turned in a huge senior season -- recorded 60 tackles, along with 3 interceptions, 10 Breakups, and 13 passes defended. Those numbers, coupled with the fact that N.F.L. scouts have measured him at a shade below 6' 1" (good size for a corner) and timed him running a 4.47 flat last spring, got him an invite to the East-West Shrine game in Houston a few weeks ago. According to a source close to the Fletcher, his strong showing at East-West Game practices has N.F.L. teams very anxious to see what he does at next month's N.F.L. Combine. While Fletcher may've been projected as a undrafted free agent coming into the season, he's currently viewed as a solid day two selection. If he can perform well at the Combine, don't be surprised if he works his way into the top 4 rounds, which would be a meteoric rise for a player that was so low on scouts' radar just a few months ago.

He was good at times but he added a lot of bad weight this year and his motor wasn't very consistent. He's got skills no doubt but this year was somewhat disappointing. I wouldn't go anywhere near him before round 4 or so.

Lee is faster than both those guys. In general the Canadian game tends to pump out bigger more powerful RBs among their elite players. Lee has good speed as well as size though. I think he has a better chance to stick in the NFL than Lumsden because he won't neccessarily be moved to FB. He's also younger than alot of the seniors at the university level in Canada (he's either 21 or just turned 22).

DE Henry Melton from Texas.
6'3 260. He is just scratching the surface with his talent and has room to fill out. If he gets into a good opportunity and gets good coaching he could be the type of DE that ends up playing in the league for 10 years.
He is really athletic and didn't start playing DE until his Jr. year.He played RB his Fresh. and Soph. year and scored 16 TD's. His uncle is former NFL player Ray Crockett.
I think he will probably get drafted 6th or 7th round.

That sounded alot like my analysis of him, I have him as a big sleeper too just because he's still learning the position...He may go earlier then the 6th because of potential but all he needs is solid coaching and he will develop into a very solid starter.

He needs to bulk up some and some good coaching, but he has great athleticism.
I'm really hoping the new DL coach the Texans brought in can light a fire under DT Frank Okam.

Jamall went to my high school!!!!!! I'm so pumped. He is a ridiculous player and an athletic freak. He was headed to Oregon on a full ride but had some paper work issue relating to being an international student. He went to Bishop's and started ripping up the CIS. One game his year he ran for 391 yards. Jamall is listed at 6'1 223 but he's actually bigger. He listed himself as shorter and lighter to make himself seem more compact.Unofficially, he's been timed at a 4.4. I hope he gets a shot at the NFL. He certainly has the ability to make it.

Jamall Lee runs too upright and I would be surprised if he gets timed for a 4.4. he won't be drafted and he won't be anything special if he makes the NFL. If I end up wrong feel free to remind me of my mistake, but I just don't see it.

I too thought he was a good athlete when he played FB, and I was intrigued when he moved to DE. I'm just stating what I saw, granted the sample size is very small so I could be wrong.

QB Nate Davis has a legit NFL arm and can make all the throws. Ball State coach says Davis is the best thrower he has ever coached and that includes Tom Brady and Drew Henson from his time at Michigan. Now he did say "thrower" because Davis does still have to be polished, but he has the tools.

Thats what everyone said about Brandon Jacobs and he's doing fine. He can't play a full 16 games and needs more of an RBBC, but he's a bruiser when he plays. I'd expect the same from Lee, being a bruiser with a higher chance of injury due to his running style. I love how he stays up and keeps going when his legs get hit though.
Here are a few sleepers that come to mind.
Kevin Ellison SS USC- will drop because of his pass coverage ability, but he is a big strong kid that can consistently tackle and do so aggressively.
Stephen Hodge SS TCU- Another large safety, runs well and should sneak into the 1st day easily.
Donald Washington CB Ohio State- will drop a little considering all the other good corners in the draft, but whoever gets him has a good talented player.
Joe Burnett CB UCF- great open field speed, could easily be a 2nd round pick.
Tony Carter CB Florida St.- just knows how to play, could be a very solid nickle corner, tackes gambles but makes plays as well.
Jairus Byrd CB Oregon- amazing ball skills, very quick and changes directions well, should be a real nice pickup in the 2nd round.
Kaluka Maiavia OLB USC- with the really weak group of OLBs, Maiavia is going to hear his name called early, very good player.
Anthony Heygood OLB Purdue- rare linebacker but has a lot of potential and great open field speed.
Moises Fokou OLB Maryland- pass rushing demon, not many people talk about him but he is an elite athlete.
Worrell Williams OLB Cal- physically built, rock solid potential NFL linebacker, would be a nice pickup for anyone.
Matthew Shaughnessy DE/OLB Wisconsin- big tall kid, gets off the ball and could be a steal in the later rounds.
Willie VanDeSteeg DE/OLB Minnesota- a potential star as a 3/4 OLB, just has to prove he has the open field speed, if so watch out.
Ron Brace DT Boston College- should be drafted a lot higher than people think, just a strong powerful player who is just as good as his teammate.
Mitch King DT/DE Iowa- tough kid, makes plays in the backfield and has done so consistently for years.
Rulon Davis DE Cal- very promise, tall long kid, good athlete and could develop into a real nice player.
AQ Shipley OG Penn State- his mobility on the field makes him so interesting, a real attractive pick anywhere at this point.
Antoine Caldwell C Alabama- not many people talking about him but he is a stud, powerful center that can move people.
Fenuki Tupou OT Oregon- just a huge man with huge potential.
Gerald Cadogan OT Penn State- very solid player, should make one team very happy on the second day.
Jose Valdez OT Arkansas- like his athletic ability, no one is talking about him but he sure could block for McFadden and Jones back in the day.
Eric VandenHeuvel OT Wisconsin- big strong lineman, powerful and can run block, should be a great pickup.
Kenny Ingram OLB FSU- extremely raw but worth a look, has SS speed and size.
DeAndre Levy OLB Wisconsin- another tall fast linebacker, dare I say a poor mans Karlos Dansby.
Bear Pascoe TE Fresno State- beast of a tight end, should really do well come draft day.
Nate Swift WR Nebraska- real stud receiver, nice hands, deceptive speed and long arms, should be a fine pickup.
Sammie Stroughter WR Oregon State- his speed is wonderful, injuries are the concern but should do well.
Kevin Ogletree WR Virginia - physically he will impress people, big strong receiver with a lot of upside.
Quinn Johnson FB LSU- physically he is the most impressive full back on the field this year, should do well.
James Davis RB Clemson- considering he might fall in the draft, he could be a real steal for anyone, had a poor senior year but could surprise people.
David Johnson QB Tulsa- very raw but has a arm and is worth a shot as a potential backup project quarterback.
He is quite the talent, I bet he gets a look at in the 2nd round, just too good not to be looked at by some team. Awesome arm, great ball handler as a quarterback, just mentally is he all there. Only way to tell that would be to talk to him and clearly do not have that access. Physically he is so impressive though, any team that gets him has a steal, even if it is in the 2nd round or late 1st.

I think Miller will improve his stock in the combine. He supposedly has the strongest squat and bench on the team, he also has a pretty explosive first step and good pursuit.
I think the rest of the Texas D-Line was somewhat overshadowed by Orakpo. Miller getting pressure up the middle and Melton coming from the otherside was pretty HUGE for us.
Roy Miller has such a great season this year, sadly years before he was not always as dominating but still has a chance to be a 1st round pick. Melton is strange, I almost consider him a non factor, he is good but not sure he is great at all. Should not even be in the same paragraph as Orakpo.
