Alex Boone probably won't be drafted and I didn't really like any picks other than the first two for the Patriots. It's acceptable though, +rep for the seven rounder.

Not sure how I feel about the Jets darft mostly cause I dont know to much on our 2nd and 3rd round selections. But in the 1st I would rather Maclin then Sanchez. I like Jennings and Sammie Lee Hill late tho. +Rep for the effort.

Round 2 (49): Paul Kruger, DE, Utah
Round 3 (84): Andy Levitre, G, Oregon State
Round 4 (115): Nathan Brown, QB, Central Arkansas
Round 5 (146): Anthony Felder, LB, California
Round 6 (177): Bruce Johnson, CB, Miami (FL)
Round 7 (212): Quinn Johnson, FB, LSU

Bolded ones I really like. Italics ones I'm ok with...seems like the type of defensive depth picks we always make.

Thing with the QB is, unless we take a tumbling Sanchez in the first, we probably won't touch the position until the very latest rounds at the earliest. Barring anything absurd happening, Orton will be our starter next year and we will also probably find him a veteran backup.

The 4th round can still be useful in finding good talent...I think I'd prefer grabbing a future RT here like Tupou.

But definitely not a bad Bears mock, and very good effort on cranking out a 7 rounder.

That seems to be a solid Bengals draft, great first two rounds, but color me confused on a couple of picks. Monroe is fantastic so no questions there. Unger I'm not sure how he fits there scheme exactly but if they think he's the best center on the board it's a massive need so...The Evans pick is a major head scratcher to say the least. He had a rough year, off the field issues, and seems to be a bit of a reach on top of it. Tate is a bit of a questionable pick as well since they drafted 3 WR's last year and 2 in the first 3 rounds, but they could lose a guy or two so I get the logic. Maiava is a fantastic value in the fifth and a great pick, maybe they move Rivers inside because I don't think Maiava can play SLB or MLB where the need is but he can at least contribute as a special teamer. Goodson seems to be a good fit as a speedier back so I like that pick, and I don't know much about Gill while DT isn't a huge need it doesn't seem like an awful pick late depth helps...

For the Jets, Sanchez in the first is a solid pick I think we'll go there if he's on the board. His lack of experience worries me big time but tough to pass on his talent at 17. I would prefer Maclin there at 17 as GL said but I don't see it happening so I wouldn't suggest mocking it. Maybe, though. Beckwith in the second is solid if unspectacular and fills a need. Martin in the third is alright...not sure if he's much of an upgrade over Lowery and perhaps Iglesias, Curtis Taylor, or Ramses Barden would be better selections. Rashad Jennings in the fourth is awesome. The Saints have our second fourth and I think we may go WR early or not at all since we have a bunch of mediocre guys but if we do go in that direction around there Stroughter is a nice fit with his ability to return punts and stretch the field a little. I'll be honest I know very little about Parrish but OL depth never hurts...if he projects to RT we could use a guy to develop there and for depth so that's a solid pick. Love Sammie Lee Hill in the sixth, and again I don't know a ton about Holmes I think we go safety earlier but we could probably use some depth there as well so it's a solid pick.

Props for going 7!

that is a good eagles draft but it would be perfect if you gave us Nicks in the 2nd! good work man.

Good job on the Cowboys draft, very solid draft top to bottom...You addressed our pressing needs as well, Rashad Johnson is a good pick, Herman Johnson is a great pick, I absolutely love Ellerbe and McKillop is a great fit...We will be taking a late flier on a Corner so Palmer is the 7th is perfect, and although I like Will Johnson DT from Michigan a little more in the mid rounds.

Overall great job and +rep for the work.

Round 2 (40): Michael Johnson, DE, Georgia Tech
Round 3 (71): Jason Watkins, OT, Florida State
Round 4 (104): Jarron Gilbert, DT, San Jose State
Round 6 (168): Ashlee Palmer, LB, Mississippi
Round 7 (199): Wopamo Osaisai, CB, Stanford

Ugly Raiders mock. This draft would make canceling Sunday Ticket even easier for me.

Round 6 (162): Garrett Reynolds, OT, North Carolina

I can't see the bills passing on Everette Brown, especially not for Pettigrew who's a pretty significant reach.

Eric Wood in round two is a very good pick, btu Courtney Green in a cover 2 is just asking for troube, I think they'd go McRath in that round and then looked at Vaughn or Cook in the fourth.

As a giants fan I'd love to see us grab nicks over Hood and then instead of Barden grab Rashad Jennings?

Nice job with 7 rounds. Pretty solid Packers draft, particularly like Robinson in the 2nd and Orakpo is nice and some good later round pick ups as well. Only thing I have an issue with is taking two safeties, I don't think we need any - especially not with an early pick in any case. Look to add a true NT and run stopping ILB instead.

Round 1 (13) Everette Brown, DE, Florida State
Round 3 (80): Antoine Caldwell, C, Alabama
Round 5 (142): Darryl Richard, DT, Georgia Tech
Round 6 (173): Glen Coffee, RB, Alabama

Everette Brown is an interesting pick. He honestly worries me a little bit. He has some nasty ability to rush the passer but he disappears at times, doesn't defend the run very well, and really only has one year or elite production. The potential is there but I think the Skins will look for someone who can contribute quicker. I would also be surprised to see us take both a DE and a DT although I do like Richards value in rd 5. I've never been a fan of coffee so id rather go with another player in rd 6. Love the Caldwell pick. Overall I'd grade this out as a C.

Nice work on the full 7 rounds. Having said that, I am not a big fan of your Raider draft. I am not saying what Al will do, but we need OL & DT not DE. The Raiders finished 13th in the league in sacks and 31st in rushing defense. I would take Ron Brace over Johnson in the 2nd, however putting off OL until the 3rd will be a huge mistake. Minnesota Vikings
Round 1 (22): Percy Harvin, WR, Florida
Round 2 (54): Troy Kropog, OT, Tulane
Round 3 (86): Rhett Bomar, QB, Sam Houston State
Round 4 (118): Brandon Underwood, CB, Cincinnati
Round 5 (151): Mitch King, DT, Iowa
Round 6 (182): Victor Butler, LB, Oregon State
Round 7 (204): Slade Norris, DE, Oregon State
Round 7 (214): Darius Passmore, WR, Marshall

That is a pretty good Vikings draft. I would rather go with Alphonso Smith or DJ Moore in the first and a WR/KR in the 4th. Also Mitch King is pretty good value, but we need a NT, not an undersized UT. We have Kevin Williams, but we need a replacement for Pat, otherwise that looks pretty good. I wouldn't take another WR in the 7th, I would go with a S for depth as it looks like Sharper is gone.

Cleveland Browns
Round 1 (5): Aaron Curry, LB, Wake Forest - Fantastic pick. Personally, I think it's the best pick the Browns can make.

Round 2 (36): William Moore, S, Missouri - This pick only makes sense of Sean Jones leaves via free agency, which has yet to be determined. Max Unger, Duke Robinson, Larry English, and Kenny Britt would have all been superior picks and filled much bigger needs.

Round 4 (100): Jarius Byrd, CB, Oregon - The Browns may need corner help but I don't think the answer is another rookie. Jarron Gilbert, Rashad Jennings, or Kraig Urbik would be better choices.

Round 6 (164): Arian Foster, RB, Tennessee - Can't really complain about this pick.

Let me start off by saying kudos on a 7 rounder.

TEAM BY TEAM BREAKDOWN
Arizona Cardinals
Round 3 (95): Brandon Gibson, WR, Washington State

Even if the Cardinals lose Anquan Boldin, I don't think they would draft a WR this early with guys like Beaston, Urban and last year's third round draft pick Early Doucet on the payroll. Maybe if there was someone who would provide a high speed element that I haven't seen from the Cardinals, but otherwise I don't understand why they would draft a WR.

Cleveland Browns
Round 2 (36): William Moore, S, Missouri

How much do the Browns need a safety?

Detroit Lions
Round 2 (33): Josh Freeman, QB, Kansas State

This seems like a bit of a risky pick for a team who always seem to lean towards bust on their boom or bust selections.

Houston Texans
Round 2 (46): Shonn Greene, RB, Iowa

I have one question. Would you give a running back to the Chicago Bears in the first two rounds and why or why not?

Kansas City Chiefs
Round 2 (34): Tyson Jackson, DE, LSU

I would question this pick. The Chiefs need a pure pass rusher more than any team in the league, possibly any team ever. And Jackson simply doesn't provide that at all.

Minnesota Vikings
Round 3 (86): Rhett Bomar, QB, Sam Houston State

Sort of the same question as the Lions. Considering the Vikings QB situation, does it really benefit them to select such a project at QB?

New York Jets
Round 4 (114): Sammie Stroughter, WR, Oregon State

WR is one of those needs that if the Jets don't take one who can make a big impact early in the draft, they probabily shouldn't take one at all given the receivers they already have.

Round 1 (3): Matthew Stafford, QB, Georgia
Round 2 (34): Tyson Jackson, DE, LSU
Round 3 (67): Marcus Freeman, LB, Ohio State
Round 4 (98): Demetrius Byrd, WR, LSU
Round 5 (131): Cedric Dockery, G, Texas
Round 6 (162): Garrett Reynolds, OT, North Carolina
Round 7 (195): C.J. Spillman, S, Marshall

Solid draft for KC, overall B. Some depth at line is good and I think Dockery could be starting G. Not the biggest fan of Jackson ins a 4-3 because he is not a speed rush typebut solid value. KC has Hali, McBride as LDE. I love Stafford. Freeman wil be a stud OLB and will battle Dmeorrio Williams as a starter and most likely beat him out. Byrds gives Stafford another weapon making the core of WRS for KC Bowe, Byrd, Bradley and Franklin. Spillman reminds me of DaJuan Morgan and could be a solid pick up for special teams.

Would rather get a speed rush type of DE.

Do not want.

Seems like all three of the Titans first few picks are reaches. Louis Murphy is bleh. Tight end is a position to watch out for for the Titans as well. Never heard of the last two guys you have the Titans picking but they seem like reaches as well.

Detroit Lions
Round 1 (1): Andre Smith, OT, Alabama
Round 1 (20): James Laurinaitis, LB, Ohio State
Round 2 (33): Josh Freeman, QB, Kansas State
Round 3 (65): Mike Mickens, CB, Cincinnati
Round 3 (82): Robert Ayers, DE, Tennessee
Round 5 (129): Asher Allen, CB, Georgia
Round 6 (161): Marko Mitchell, WR, Nevada
Round 6 (179): Darcel McBath, S, Texas Tech

I refuse to believe a combination of Andre Smith and Josh Freeman is better than Stafford / Eben Britton.

I don't even like Britton all that much, but I'd rather have Stafford and anyone over Smith and Freeman.

The Lions cannot **** around with taking another 'Project' Quarterback. It's our greatest need. Go get the BEST Quarterback, not the 3rd best.

Lions need to draft a DT in there somewhere. We have starting DE's. We don't have both starting DT's.

Redskins
Round 1 (13) Everette Brown, DE, Florida State: Don't hate the pick considering who is available. He'd be on my top 5 list in that situation. I wouldn't mind Vontae Davis depending on how Los and Deangelo Hall work out, and also wouldn't mind DHB or Shady McCoy. Solid pick though. Sucks the top 4 OT's are gone as well as Raji and Orakpo. Hopefully that doesn't happen draft day.

Round 3 (80): Antoine Caldwell, C, Alabama: Very nice pick. Goodbye to Casey Rabach. A very solid pick in the 3rd round. I really like Caldwell as a fit with the Hogs.

Round 5 (142): Darryl Richard, DT, Georgia Tech:Amazing value here. Love the pick and gives us rotational DT depth.

Round 6 (173): Glen Coffee, RB, Alabama: Eh RB here is not a bad option but he's not the type of back I'd be looking at.

Ravens
Round 1 (26): D.J. Moore, CB, Vanderbilt: Perfect pick. Fits #1 need and is the top corner available and great value here. Amazing pick.

Round 2 (57): Hakeem Nicks, WR, North Carolina: Best pick of the draft. I would take Nicks in the first round over Moore to be honest. He is my #1 player on the Ravens big board. If he fell here, I'd wet myself.

Round 3 (88): Kevin Barnes, CB, Maryland: Picks just keep getting better. Barnes a dream 3rd rounder. Provides the team with that physical corner and doesn't hurt he's a hometown kid.

Round 4 (119): Jason Phillips, LB, TCU: Ok pick. If Jason Brown is gone than Edwin Williams should be the pick here. Would rather have Fenuki or James Casey though.

Round 5 (154): Ian Campbell, DE, Kansas State: Would love Marko or Travis Beckum here. Maybe even Moise Fokou or even another corner like Bruce Johnson or Dominique Johnson.

Round 6 (185): Richard Quinn, TE, North Carolina: Prefer Anthony Hill here.

Round 7 (216): Johnny Williams, LB, Kentucky: Would like to see a kicker. Graham Gano or Jose Martinez.

Seattle Seahawks
Round 1 (4): Malcolm Jenkins, CB, Ohio State
Good pick, at the moment it is looking a little unrealistic for the Seahawks.
Round 2 (37): Kenny Britt, WR, Rutgers
Britt is a good pick at two. Rashad Johnson or Louis Delmas both have to be considered though.
Round 3 (68): Fili Moala, DT, USC
Fili Moala is a great pick. Kinda expect him to be long gone by now.
Round 4 (101): Javon Ringer, RB, Michigan State
Javon Ringer is an okay pick. We need a S, so it is more likely that we change this pick for one. Cook is probably an okay fit there.
Round 6 (165): Graham Harrell, QB, Texas Tech
Graham Harrell makes me want to vomit. I'd rather take Cullen Harper or Brad Hoyer if we have to go QB...
Round 7 (196): Jason Williams, LB, Western Illinois
Small school prospect that I know nothing about.

Great job with the draft. Comments in the quote. As well as this:
You don't have us taking a S anywhere in this draft. That's a big need for us, and it is probably going to be addressed somewhere in the first 4 rounds.

New England Patriots
Round 1 (23): Alphonso Smith, CB, Wake Forest
Round 2 (47): Patrick Chung, S, Oregon
Round 2 (58): Jasper Brinkley, LB, South Carolina
Round 3 (89): Alex Boone, OT, Ohio State
Round 4 (120): Will Davis, DE, Illinois
Round 5 (151): Ryan Stancheck, G, West Virginia
Round 6 (186): Kory Sheets, RB, Purdue
Round 7 (217): Mike Wallace, WR, Mississippi

Smith and Chung are great picks, Brinkley is a decent pick, but I don't like the Boone pick. Granted you made this probably before you found out before he was arrested, but I still wouldn't want him before the arrest. Will Davis has some potential in a 3-4, we could use another guard so Stancheck is OK, I like the Sheets pick because he is sort of in the Faulk mold, and I love the Wallace pick because I am an Ole Miss homer.

Very good effort. I think the Saints will trade down from #14 if they have an opportunity. And, if they do re-sign Vilma after free agency begins or if they do not re-sign Vilma at all, either way they receive the Jets fourth round pick in this draft. That is why they have not yet re-signed him.

The Raiders don't need a DE? Seriously?

Seriously. Not nearly as bad as we need OT, DT and WR anyway.

32nd in passing
32nd in receptions
31st in rec yards
31st in sacks allowed per passing attempt
31st against the run
13th in sacks
7th in sacks per opp. pass attempts (of course teams ran on us so much this stat is inflated)

Burgess isn't getting younger, Richardson isn't anything more than solid, but Trevor Scott maybe a diamond in the rough. The position isn't solidified or anything , we could use a DE, but it's way down on the list right now. To ignore one of our top 3 needs for a DE in the top 2 rounds would be foolish unless there simply is no value at the other positions and we can't trade back.

Personally in this mock scenario I would prefer Ron Brace over Johnson in the 2nd. Hopefully he could be a run stuffer and help Kelly out as well. Although I do acknowledge Johnson would be a great value, hopefully we could trade back and get some extra picks and Brace or Beatty, we did it with Miller in 2007.

For the Rams:

Round 1 - J. Smith is my favorite OL prospect in the first but Curry would be a much better pick at that point.

Round 2 - Matthews wouldnt work if we took Curry so Britt, Nicks, Moore, Unger, or Kropog would ALL be better picks.

Round 3 - I don't mind the DeAngelo Smith pick and it works but another possibility is Fili Moala, Michael Hamlin, Jason Watkins but it depends on Round 1 & 2.

Round 4 - Two LBs is OVERKILL, a better pick (also depending on prior picks) is Jarron Gilbert, Jarius Bryd, Vance Walker, Brandon Tate, Chip Vaughn.

Round 5 - I love Pat White and I think he would be fun but depending on what else you do there are guys like Magee, Moore, and Vasquez who could fit too

Round 6 - Melton works depending on other round and Harrell is another guy to look at, we will take a later round QB

Round 7 - Love the Hill pick, doubt he is there in the 7th though, and Quin Johnson could work...

Overall a much better Rams mock would be...1)Aaron Curry, LB 2)Hakeem Nicks, WR 3)Michael Hamlin, S 4)Jarron Gilbert, DT 5)Louis Vasquez, OG 6)Graham Harrel, QB 7)P.J. Hill....but with how yours ended up there are SOOO many ways to go

I'm biased since I think DHB is going to be one giant Bust, with a capital B. Anyway you put it, Maclin has more talent than DHB. Bears need a big receiver, but Maclin's talent outweighs those extra 2-2.5 inches. Switch Maclin with DHB and I'm good. Except I agree with the previous Bears posters about picking a QB in the later rounds, not round 4. Hell, I don't even think they should draft a QB at all this year.

Everette Brown is an interesting pick. He honestly worries me a little bit. He has some nasty ability to rush the passer but he disappears at times, doesn't defend the run very well, and really only has one year or elite production. The potential is there but I think the Skins will look for someone who can contribute quicker.

While I agree with what you say about Brown. I really don't think he fits our scheme. Brown has potential for sure, but he'd just waste his career with the Skins who are looking for someone with a different skill set and size than what Brown brings.

I would also be surprised to see us take both a DE and a DT although I do like Richards value in rd 5. I've never been a fan of coffee so id rather go with another player in rd 6. Love the Caldwell pick. Overall I'd grade this out as a C.

Yep, sounds good.

Seriously. Not nearly as bad as we need OT, DT and WR anyway.

But that's not what you said. ;)

Burgess isn't getting younger, Richardson isn't anything more than solid, but Trevor Scott maybe a diamond in the rough.

Scott had a nice rookie season. Let's not crown him just yet, though.

The position isn't solidified or anything , we could use a DE, but it's way down on the list right now. To ignore one of our top 3 needs for a DE in the top 2 rounds would be foolish unless there simply is no value at the other positions and we can't trade back.

Need has to be tempered with value, and who the hell knows where Al's mind is when it comes to grading players? Not where most people's are.

But, the fact remains. We don't have a single starting caliber DE on the roster. That's a real problem. Overlooking that need based on Trevor Scott's handful of sacks and the hope that Burgess can turn back the clock...that kinda looks foolish as well.

We have needs at nearly every position. We're among the league's worst teams for a reason. We just don't have very many good players. We can cherry pick needs all day long based on value, scheme, perceived need rankings, etc. But, in the end, what we need to do is add NFL caliber players.

I'm not saying we should take one at #7 overall. But to imply that DE is not a need for us is just flat wrong.

I wouldn't touch Johnson before Rd5, and we don't have a 5th round pick.

Believe me. I wasn't defending the Michael Johnson pick. But the DE position is definitely a significant need.

Impressive.

Decent Browns draft. But imo Browns needs are:
1. Front seven. Only 2 suitable starters. (appreciate the Curry selection)
2. O line. Right side and C.
3. Skill guys RB first WR second.
4. Secondary depth. ( of which u made plenty)

Nice job with the seventh rounder. As a Bills fan, I want Brown over Pettigrew. One other thing, did you forget about Chase Coffman in your draft? He would never get past the 4th round IMO. Or am I just missing him?

Don't like the Lions mock at all....Andre Smith and James L both hurt their stock this weekend.
