Who are they? Can anyone bring the lumber like Sean Taylor, Bob Sanders, Adrian Wilson, and Troy P???

Louis Delmas.
Delmas isn't the biggest guy but he flies to the ball and makes huge hits. He puts his body on the line and is fearless. Though sometimes he is a little over aggressive in going for the big hit.

Patrick Chung all day.
Louis Delmas. He's got the potential to be the next Bob Sanders and the leader of a defense. Emmanuel Cook is another guy that'll go a little later, but he's probably the hardest hitter out of the entire draft.

William Moore, Patrick Chung, Reshard Langford, Chip Vaughn, Louis Delmas......just a few hard hitters.

I don't know what the hell saftey's are, but the hardest hitting safeties are probably USC's Kevin Ellison, Oregon's Patrick Chung and Western Michigan's Louis Delmas.

If only this were grammer class...
William Moore is a hitter. but the guy can't cover. Him and Courtney Greene run like they have bricks as feet. I don't like Kam Chancellor for the same reason next year.

True. Greene is a tad quicker than Moore.

I think you are right, Moore does not have great quickness.
I don't think Moore is that slow, he just has really stiff hips and has had trouble planting and changing direction due to ankle and leg injuries. Curious to see if he is 100% by the combine. If not, his stock could continue to free fall. I think he could be a steal for the right system if he continues to fall.
This is how I would rate them...
Patrick Chung Oregon- in terms of consistency and toughness at the point of attack every time, he is the one to go with.
William Moore Missouri- if he had a season like he did last year he would be #1
Nic Harris OU- big time hitter, right up there with any of them
Kevin Ellison USC- simply can take people down but can he cover the pass and actually play safety?
Emanuel Cook South Carolina- has a lot of potential, small but very strong.
Rashad Johnson Alabama- consistent tackler and tackles very hard.
Otis Wiley Michigan State- can take out a few stray receivers every now and again.
David Bruton Notre Dame- very underrated, fast and has a long strong frame.
Honestly though none of these safeties are great players like next years prospects in Taylor Mays and Eric Berry.
Emanuel Cook
Louis Delmas
Patrick Chung
CJ Spillman
In that order.

I have never seen Delmas play, is he that good?

Greene is a prototypical in the box SS who will kick your ass and destroy your life. He hits like an animal. He's got great ball skills, just isn't fast. He's a million times better than Roy Williams(S) of course

Kids a beast. Should be the first safety taken. Hits like a missile almost dangerously and is good in coverage. Problem is he's small and looks more like a corner than safety, but IMO he has Bob Sanders type potential. If you can pair him with an intelligent safety who can cover deep and line his guys up, Delmas can be an absolute game changing safety.
Saw a little of Delmas on some youtube video, looks like a fast safety, fills hard and is aggressive. A little small though, especially in his base, skinny legs, but seems to cover ground well. Is he good in pass coverage and can make plays on the ball, more of a free or strong safety?

Delmas and Cook are two guys that really intrigue me as far as guys my Patriots should have an eye on. Both are extremely hard hitter, but don't exactly fit the strong safety mold. Delmas looked GREAT at the Senior Bowl though, I'm very interested to see how he holds up against bigger backs and such. Don't think he'll have much of a problem.

I think the harder hitter is Delmas. He has so much speed that he just torpedoes down the field to knock heads off. He makes a huge impact with the ballcarrier. However, like many have said, he may be too aggressive, and miss too many tackles.

I'd like to see the Giants have the Phillips-Chung safety combo.
That would also mean I am assuming Phillips will get better.

We don't insult on this forum.
Anyways, who do you guys think the first Safety selected in the draft is going to be?
My prediction is the Saints will pick Delmas(If he has a great combine) in the first round. That was my suprise pick in the mock I made a week ago.

It has to be Delmas and Cook, who ironically are the two guys I think fit best on Dallas, but Delmas has really grown on me, he has some of the play making ability that Pegues has but he can really lay the hat.
At this point I'd venture to say Delmas will be a late 1st rounder, I think William Moore has been overrated for some time and he is no lock to be the 1st safety taken.

I'd love the Saints to take Delmas, and hopefully he doesn't rise to much, and we can trade down and get him.

Actually, every message board or forum is an english forum. It's not out of line to expect posters to use proper grammar and punctuation. We have to use these writing skills to communicate with one another. So don't be shocked or pretend like it doesn't matter when somebody singles you out. Trying to pass off a plural word by writing it in possessive form is grade school stuff man.

Because 6'4" 225 pound safties who can play any position in the secondary have bricks as feet. Right.
Not only can Kam Chancellor play any of the secondary positions, he has. Cornerback as a freshman, rover/ strong safety as a sophmore, free safety last season. He could play LB or DE, too. Great leader. But I don't want to get started on Kam.
Oh, and he has started on two top ten defenses, and been a backup on a number one defense.

It's optional but generally frowned upon outside of journalism. I know about the "serial comma" and was just doing it to return the favor of him being an ass.

What "defiy" the Sniper? Are they trying to defy him or deify him?
I'm just being an ass about spelling cause all the cool kids are doing it :P.
I'll add my vote in for Delmas, Moore and Cook being the biggest hitting safeties projecting to the NFL.
The hardest hitting safety coming out of college football this year is probably Stephen Hodge though. I'm just not sure he has the coverage skills to see the field as a DB in the NFL. The Horned Frog standout is an absolutely devastating hitter. Think Roy Williams with less speed.

I defied Sniper once because I change from past to present tense in mid sentence.
Delmas FTW, I only hope his size drops him to the third.
