The Jets are scheduled to meet with 330 lb NT Tim Bowens form Miami (the catch is he's 33)

I think they should also look into Robarie Smith from the Titans, Kevin Carter from the Doplphins, and Alvin Mckinnley from the Brown all have worked in the 3-4 and having at least somebody to mitigate Kimo's playing time would help (since he played hardball with the Jets and will be staying and not having to take a pay cut)

At other positions I think Lou Petigout would be good for our RT spot he's only 30 and would be a better bandaid (qucik non long term fix)than Clement was last year. Also Nick Harper for CB wouldn't be awful but I think we'll wither trade up or down in the first or selection ross or revis at 25 or houston with 2a.

i think at somepoint in the offseason, whether it is from free agency or draft, i think the jets have to address:
HB (preferably big), FB (who at least konws how to block), OG/OT (one has to be addressed), NT, CB
i think at somepoint in the offseason, whether it is from free agency or draft, i think the jets should but dont have to address:
QB (low key or veteran), WR (possesion reciever or end-zone threat), OG/OT (whichever isnt addressed as a must), TE (as a reciever who can be a red-zone threat), DE, LB (both OLB and ILB)
so basically everything other than C, LT (to be specific), S, K, P, or KR/PR have to be addressed, but im just showing my belief in priority

does anyone know about if we've offered or are in contract talks with Kenyon Coleman, David Bowens and Darian Barnes. I heard we were extremely close with both COleman and Bowens. I just have no idea how close we are with this. And would we be converting Bowens and Coleman to an OLB?? Because from what ive seen their size and athleticism could make them good OLB, and i like how we're looking everywhere for people to play not just the top FA's

I think it would be hard to convert Coleman to OLB considering he's 300lbs. He's a DE and Bowens is 265-270 OLB and a lot of people say if that deal gets done and the Jets get rid of Barton the OLBs woiuld be Bowens and Thomas and ILBs would be Hobson and Vilma. I like Barton though especially for depth. We'll see but Bowens will be the only one converted to OLB from DE and Coleman will stay at his 34 DE position.

He's also a woman-beater and a very low character guy.

Well apparently we're interested....
The Jets will have Dolphins FB Darian Barnes in for a visit today and have shown some interest in former Miami TE Randy McMichael, who had 62 catches last season.
That's from the NY Post. I would love to have R-Mac and Baker teaming up at TE for us, and also eliminates a draft day need that after Greg Olsen has a huge drop-off. And Olsen might not be there for us.

I doubt they get mcmichaels...I think we're "interested" if the value is right and after coleman and jones and barnes I doubt we sign McMichaels. I think Olsen will be there at 25 and if we need a TE that badly we'll get ours there.

Definitely Flash. Imagine how good a RB or WR would be if he could run the speed of light. I would think Wolverine at 5'3 would be too undersized for the NFL. And while he certainly wouldn't have to worry about injury, the first time his claws popped out, poof, suspension.
