Matthew Jones

Just a quick mock I put together this morning. Let me know what you think! I would do two rounds but I tend to be much better if I stick to the first. Some new picks in here.
1. Detroit Lions - QB Matthew Stafford, Georgia
Lions really need just about everything - you can't win without a QB, though.
2. St. Louis Rams - WR Michael Crabtree, Texas Tech
Orlando Pace allowed just two sacks last year - I'd shop Holt and take an OT later.
3. Kansas City Chiefs - OLB Aaron Curry, Wake Forest
Very safe prospect but overrated. Not like the Chiefs have many options, though.
4. Seattle Seahawks - LT Jason Smith, Baylor
A little more similar than Walter Jones than Monroe and a lot more than Andre Smith.
5. Cleveland Browns - CB Malcolm Jenkins, Ohio State
I think the Browns should consider Wells but Jenkins is the more likely pick.
6. Cincinnati Bengals - RT Andre Smith, Alabama
Probably better than Monroe and they already have Collins at left tackle.
7. Oakland Raiders - WR Jeremy Maclin, Missouri
Maclin's on the same level as Monroe, plus the Raiders have no WRs at all.
8. Jacksonville Jaguars - LT Eugene Monroe, Virginia
Tackle is a no-brainer with Monroe left on the board to replace Barnes.
9. Green Bay Packers - NT B.J. Raji, Boston College
If they're gonna switch to a 3-4, they need to secure a top ranked nose tackle.
10. San Francisco 49ers - RT Michael Oher, Mississippi
I think Joe Staley might be okay on the left, but San Francisco needs a tackle.
11. Buffalo Bills - DE Brian Orakpo, Texas
Buffalo can't get much pressure, Schobel and Kelsay are overpaid, Ellis unproven.
12. Denver Broncos - ILB Rey Maualuga, Southern California
Great piece to add to their 3-4 defense, they were awful on defense last year.
13. Washington Redskins - DE Everette Brown, Florida State
Jason Taylor is old and hasn't worked out, Everette is slipping but a great value.
14. New Orleans Saints - ILB James Laurinaitis, Ohio State
A very underrated player who'll fit in great on that 4-3 defense the Saints have.
15. Houston Texans - DT Peria Jerry, Mississippi
They haven't got what they wanted from Okoye, Jerry is a reach but a need.
16. San Diego Chargers - RB Chris Wells, Ohio State
One of the big steals of the draft - Tomlinson won't be a star for much longer.
17. New York Jets - QB Mark Sanchez, Southern California
They luck out as Favre retires and they land one of the top quarterbacks late.
18. Chicago Bears - DE Larry English, Northern Illinois
Good value pick, Marinelli would have a lot to work with, upgrades the pass rush.
19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - WR Percy Harvin, Florida
Arguably a top-10 talent but has some questions so he falls to Tampa Bay.
20. Detroit Lions - LT Eben Britton, Arizona
Has lots of experience to protect Stafford, allows Backus to slide inside to guard.
21. Philadelphia Eagles - TE Brandon Pettigrew, Oklahoma State
L.J. Smith just doesn't cut it - I really like Celek but I don't think they pass here.
22. Minnesota Vikings - CB Alphonso Smith, Wake Forest
Minnesota needs to upgrade a pass defense that's been bad for a long time.
23. New England Patriots - CB D.J. Moore, Vanderbilt
They just miss out on Alphonso Smith - Patriots allowed way too many pass TDs.
24. Atlanta Falcons - FS Louis Delmas, Western Michigan
Fast-rising safety who fills Atlanta's need for help way back in the secondary.
25. Miami Dolphins - OLB Brian Cushing, Southern California
Seems similar to Bobby Carpenter, another guy Parcells really liked before.
26. Baltimore Ravens - WR Darrius Heyward-Bey, Maryland
It always feels like Baltimore needs a wide receiver - luckily, DHB is still left.
27. Indianapolis Colts - DT Tyson Jackson, Louisiana State
Better fit in a 3-4 but could still be a nice starter inside in Indianapolis' defense.
28. Philadelphia Eagles - LT William Beatty, Connecticut
Thomas and Runyan are aging free agents - Winston Justice has been a bust.
29. New York Giants - WR Kenny Britt, Rutgers
New York drafts a tall, local wideout with solid hands to replace Plaxico Burress.
30. Tennessee Titans - WR Hakeem Nicks, North Carolina
Neglected to draft an upgrade at wideout last year - trade for Holt failed.
31. Arizona Cardinals - RB Knowshon Moreno, Georgia
Edgerrin James is likely done in Arizona and Hightower is a goal-line back.
32. Pittsburgh Steelers - C Alex Mack, California
Pittsburgh needs help along the offensive line - Mack is a rare first-round center.
1. Detroit Lions - QB Matthew Stafford, Georgia

2. St. Louis Rams - WR Michael Crabtree, Texas Tech
