Maclin should have a very nice combine might prove to be worth that 9th maybe 7th pick.

Louis Murphy is a scrub and he will show that as well. He will be a 4th or 5th round pick after that.

Rashad Johnson will surprise many and get into that late 1st round

BigJohn98
02-17-2009, 09:20 PM
Percy Harvin will be the fastest player at the combine.

over under 37 (Gholston's # last year) bench reps for RakDaddy?

02-17-2009, 11:27 PM
My predictions:

-Aaron Maybin comes in at 248 lbs. and runs a 4.63.

-Captin Munnerlyn runs the fastest 40 at 4.32.

-Clint Sintim runs a 4.85.

-Cornelius Ingram runs a 4.56.

-Zach Potter does the most reps on the bench with 39.

-Rashad Jennings runs a 4.41.

-Victor Harris runs a 4.67.

-Donald Brown has the highest vert of the RBs with 39 inches.

-Highest vert overall will be D.J. Moore with 41 inches.

My predictions - jes' for fun:
40: Beanie Wells 4.39;
'my Man' -Mr.Robiskie: 4.46
Kenny Britt 4.48
Jarred Dillard vertical 43" (top in category)

And from above posts - what I bet WON'T happen:
Rashad Jennings runs a 4.41. Gonna go with maybe 4.47
Donald Brown has the highest vert of the RBs with 39 inches. Not 39" AND not in the top 3 highest of RBs
Highest vert overall will be D.J. Moore with 41 inches See above. My money's on Dillard.
Percy Harvin will be the fastest player at the combine. He'll be fast, but not fast-est.

Not part of combine, but Michael Crabtree (at Lubbock Mar 5) 4.47

DHB and Vontae Davis are going to be climbing up draft boards after the combine.

Bingo!

Here are some of mine.

Many will begin to question Percy Harvin as a first rounder when he can barely put up 6 reps on the bench.
Alex Mack will climb up boards with impressive numbers all around.
People will once again question Oher as a top draft pick when his Wonderlic is leaked--rumored to be scored a 7.
Everette Brown will live and die by the Combine. This can be true for any draft prospect, but I feel that his entire stock depends on his 40 time and bench press.
Jeremy Maclin will be among the best in speed, acceleration and agility drills and some will begin to place him above Crabtree as an NFL prospect as Crabtree sits out the 40. This will be magnified when Crabtree runs a 4.5 40 at his pro day with everyone discounting the time by a full tenth of a second.
Kenny Britt will surprise everyone with a respectable 40 time (I'm thinking around 4.47) and thus find himself climbing up draft boards.

VD runs a sub 4.33 40 at the combine.

DHB has a 40 inch vert and runs in the late 4.2's. Yup you heard it here first, as Al Davis begins contract negotiations with DHB.

RakDaddy will absolutely kill it on the bench and thus surpass Gholston's mark from last year.

VD will be the only player to run a sub 4.3.

- Chris Wells runs a faster 40 yard dash than Knowshon Moreno

- Donald Brown and Shonn Greene both run faster than expected and one or both start getting some more first-round hype

- Mike Goodson makes people forget he's not good at football with a blazing 40

- Derrick Williams has a nice combine with an impressive 40 and drills

- Brandon Pettigrew will come in overweight and someone will mention a move to offensive tackle

- Jared Cook shoots up draft boards with a blazing 40 yard dash

- Jason Smith will climb to the top of most people's rankings since he's better suited to the combine environment than the others

- Orakpo will go in the top 10 after a good combine, but will be overdrafted (remember that other strong DE with the iffy motor last year?)

- Everette Brown comes in underweight (think 235 or maybe 240) and falls a bit

- Aaron Maybin will either come in around 235 or be around 250 and run a slow 40

- Jarron Gilbert will be a first round pick after the combine

- Brian Cushing further raises his stock at the combine and is also overdrafted

- Vontae Davis becomes a first round lock (although I still think he'll bust in the NFL)

- William Moore tops the safety charts with a nice workout (I don't think he ends up being the best safety in the draft though)

- Jason Smith and Kenny Britt will have great workouts and fool people ala Mike Mamula.
- Beanie Wells won't even run because he'll get injured during his stretch
- LeSean McCoy will prove to be the elite RB
- Vontae Davis will surpass Malcolm Jenkins in a few peoples minds

LeSean McCoy will move himself into the top RB position, yeah I said it..
percy harvin will run a 4.45, which will be a disappointment....

I don't know, but I expect Harvin to put up anywhere from 20-25 reps.

Jarron Gilbert is going to tear it up. He is 6-5 290 with a 7-1 wingspan and some freakish athletic ability. Check out this video of him jumping out of a pool-

no way your crazy.. DHB will defintely run sub 4.3.. his speed is world class track speed. Al Davis is already drooling and is trying to see how can give him a bigger contract then any 1st rd WR in the history of the draft !!!

Wow. Come up with something original. Or how about ACCURATE. Considering the Raiders haven't drafted a WR in the 1st round since 1988--Tim Brown.

I'm expecting DHB, Maclin and Harvin to all run low 4.3's. I may reconsider VD into that group as well.

If I had to guess fastest 40, I suppose I'll pick Harvin too.

Shawn Nelson, TE - 4.45

Michael Johnson will absolutely blow up the combine. His ridiculous combine will put him back in the 1st round discussion.

Also Jared Cook will have huge combine and will also be put in the 1st round discussion whether its warranted or not.

"Twinkle Toes" also nailed Dillard, didn't do that bad on Robiskie either.
