Where is his stock at right now? Measured in at a solid 6'2 326lbs and ran an impressive 5.03 and a respectable 26 reps. Could he fit in with the texans as a replacement for Travis Johnson at 4-3 NT?

Also had a 35" vertical.

He's still got character issues to overcome, though. Ed Johnson is still fresh in the minds of NFL GMs

I've heard his stock is anywhere from 5th to UDFA, depending on how teams take into account off-field issues. As a PSU fan I can tell you he was a good player, but not really great, at least he never stuck out. That was most likely because of the role and type of player his is now that i think about it more. He hogged (perfect word) up blockers so Penn State's edge rush guys could be able to make plays, as well as allowed the LBs to make tackles. He could be a great fit as a Nose for the 4-3, or 3-4 for that matter, if he was selected in the later rounds and not much is expected out of him to begin with. I'd say a team in need of a NT could tae a shot on him in the later rounds, I'm not too familiar with the Texans style of defense, but if he can live up to potential, he could be someone to keep Mario from getting doubled as frequently, as well as enabling the rest of the DL and LBs to make plays.

Not trying to derail the thread but whatever happened to Frank Okam, did he just never pan out for the Texans?

what the heck, I wanted him as one of the back up DEs in our 3-4.

Baker was Penn State's best DL in 2007.

Beat me to it underscore. I definitely feel the same way. He's part of the reason Mo Evans got so many sacks that year.

How's a Jason Ferguson comparison work?

Seems like the kind of late round draft pick DT that can turn himself into a nice NT in any front...

Two separate felony fight incidents and a harboring dangerous dogs incident after that.

Wow. That's worse than I thought.
