Does this move that the jets made show that the jets love this class of wide receivers and show that they will draft a receiver early?

It shows they are looking to lower their salary cap more so than their love of the WRs in this draft class.

Could be true, this restructuring could allow them to give more money to Moore and not shake up their oline going into the next season. However, they have to feel they can get some WR talent via the draft or free aganecy if they are going into the season with Cotchery, Smith, Stuckey and a bunch of bench guys.

this move was brought on by Coles wanting to renegotiate his deal for the millionth time, not the Jets trying to cut him. The Jets would have been fine if coles played his 1 last year and moved on. But Coles decided he wasn't happy, they'd rather spare Rex Ryan this mess and cut him.

QFT. Coles had to agree to renegotiate his deal in order to remove the remaining guaranteed money before the Jets could cut him. Thats him wanting to leave more than the Jets wanting to cut him. If they had cut him outright without the renegotiation, the cap savings would have been nil.

Just the same, Coles' production did not match his salary much less a long term extension and I feel that the Jets successfully used his greed against him.
