Will DE Everette Brown be an impact pass rusher in a 4-3?

There are some serious questions about him,

1. Size 6'1" 256lbs

2. Florida St has a history of busts at DE

What do people think and anyone who has seen him a lot want to shed some light on to this guy for me.

This guy has better burst and better pass rush moves than Brian Orakpo. Is he as complete a player in regards to size/strength/run support? No. But at the same time, I don't think he'll have any trouble rushing the passer. Look at the ridiculous numbers he put up last year on some pretty good opponents. Dwight Freeney is around the same size, and I don't think anyone would mind being as good as he is.

I like him to the bills im not worried about his size look at elvis dumervill he is 5-11 260 and has 25 sacks in 3 years as mostly a back up

Dumervil and Freeney. It's already been said and it's all that needs to be said. Brown is up there with those guys as far as pass rush talent goes.

I don't think he can be an every down guy in a 4-3 unless he bulks up A LOT more. His ideal fit would be in a 3-4.

personally i have him ranked 5th among DEs for a 4-3 defense and valued at late first early second round. at the same time, i also have him ranked 2nd as an OLB and projected as a top 15 pick.

6'1 256 is pretty bulky. He's not gonna grow if that's what you mean, and short edge rushers shouldn't weigh more than 260.

He's more suited for an outside linebacker position in a 3-4.
He has the athleticism to drop back into coverage and cover ground sideline to sideline..
but then again..Trent Cole and Elvis Dumervil were undersized ends coming out and they both start in 4-3 schemes. It all depends really.
Brown has potential to start a 4-3 with some added power but is most likely going to be a 3-4 speedrusher.

He's a tweener and he doesnt have the athletic ability of a Dwight Freeney that's for sure. I'm puzzled at the love for him and Maybin as high picks but to each his own i guess.

I've seen a decent amount of FSU and I can honestly say that I haven't seen a college player, let alone underclassmen, with comparable pass rushing skills since possibly Freeney. He has speed to push the edge like Orakpo but also can rip, swim and of course has the Freeney esque inside spin move.

Orakpo and Maybin have nothing on Everette Brown's moves. Couple more pounds and he will be a good pass rusher regardless of scheme, he just makes plays.

He'll be fine at DE. I've got him going to the Bills.
