LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP)—The Chicago Bears (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/chi/;_ylt=AhTeulygsiOq1poyymrNNPcdsLYF) have moved offensive tackle John Tait (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/4662/;_ylt=AszelzMDSY1QpYhL.AW38agdsLYF) from their active roster to the reserve/retired list.

Tait, a 10-year NFL veteran who spent the past five years with Chicago, is expected to retire.

He was the 14th pick overall in the 1999 draft by the Kansas City Chiefs (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/kan/).

I didn't know that he was about to retire.

I'm kind of surprised. He was pretty good.

You've never heard of John Tait before?

He was a top 15 overall pick and really good OL over the years. Went to a few pro bowls.

His play dropped off last year due to a nagging ankle/lower leg injury over the years.

Tait had a really good career, though.

I've heard of him, he's just not really elite. That's all.
