Ummm, Mr. Thirty, I have a question...

What the hell?

Seriously, there isn't a thing I disagree with here in rankings or where you have people positioned. I mean I could really nitpick and say there are a few guys who I thik could go a round higher or lower, but I can't say I would have them ranked any different if I did one of these myself. Maybe I'd have some of the later round guys moved around, but honeslty, besides the flub in forgetting McRath, who I'd say deserves to be somewhere around Rd. 3, this is something I am in complete agreement with.

Kind of creepy actually...

I'm interested to understand why Zack Follett is most underrated. What's the reasoning?

Also, Jairus Byrd is awesome!

you have mckillop to low...tell me how he's overrated...he has tremendous production and had arguably a better combine than laurinitis.

Michael Johnson is becoming one of those guys who is called overrated by everyone. When someone is called overrated by everyone that kind of makes them no longer overrated. Johnson is no longer considered a top 10 prospect like he was months ago.

he is to me...top 15 anyway.

with mckillop im not saying hes not a decent prospect. i just dont think that he is a 3rd rounder like some people are saying. i think hes going to really struggle to get off blocks at the nfl level and he seems to lack a certain level of aggressiveness that i like in my mlbers. could be a good special teamer but i just dont see him as a starter at the pro level.

d unit - i consider follett underrated because there are so many decent olbers this year that hes often overshadowed and forgotten in conversations but i think he deserves mention with some of the higher rated players. a lot of the 3/4 guys are getting put above him because of their experience rushing the passer but follett did pretty well this year with 12.5 tfl and 6 sacks and he has experience in coverage. on top of that hes more versatile than a lot of the lbers this year being that he can play all three spots. Totaled 51 TFL and 13 FF during his time at Cal.

as for michael johnson anything before the late second or early third round to me is still overrated for him so even if people arent calling him a top 10 anymore hes still overrated to me.

Still think DE Michael Johnson has a better than 50/50 shot to be a real star in the pros.
Think a bigger, more versatile Jevon Kearse. But our doo doo for brains player personnel guy VinDanny would never consider using a pick for him.

If only the SKins had 5 1st rounders, we'd be set!!

Why do you think Everette Brown has a chance of falling to round 2?

Why do you think Everette Brown has a chance of falling to round 2?

Probably his size. I may be completely wrong on this and I'm to lazy to go check his height/weight but I think he measured in at something like 6'1".

I'm not big on Brown, Maybin, or Johnson at DE or any position for that matter.

Speaking of the once overrated remember when Fili Moali was being talked about as a top 10 pick?

Why do you think Everette Brown has a chance of falling to round 2?

i dont. as a pure DE i value him late first early second. check the OLB rankings and youll see that i think hell go top 15.

I'd put Mitch King a little higher than you have him, some where around #9.

1. Brian Orakpo - Top 10

19. Henry Melto - 6-UFA
20. Orion Martin - 6-UFA

Most Overrated: Michael Johnson
Most Underrated: Paul Kruger

I think Ayers is one of the fastest risers in the draft and will go top 15. He should be #2 on your DE list. Paul Kruger simply lacks the speed off the edge to be much at the next level.

OLB - RD Value
1. Aaron Curry - Top 5
2. Everette Brown (3/4) - Top 15
3. Brian Cushing - 1

13. Michael Tauiliili - 6/7
14. Jamar Chaney - 6-UFA
15. Dave Philistin - 6-UFA

Most Overrated: Scott McKillop
Most Underrated: Jason Phillips

Jason Phillips was #3 before his injury.

CB - RD Value
1. Malcolm Jenkins - Top 10
2. Alphonso Smith - 1
3. Vontae Davis - 1
4. Sean Smith - 1/2
5. DJ Moore - 2

21. Asher Allen - 5
22. Jerraud Powers - 5/6
23. Captain Munnerlyn - 5/6
24. Domonique Johnson - 6
25. Brice McCain - 6

Most Overrated: Vontae Davis
Most Underrated: Jairus Byrd

Jenkins and Alphonso Smith are looking like they can only play for Cover 2 teams. Unless Jenkins is drafted as a FS, he could be in a free fall come draft day all the way to round 2 simular to what happened to Flowers last year. Alphonso is also likely to be a 2nd rounder. Because of the shortage of NFL calibre CB's in this year's draft I think Vontae Davis will go a lot higher than people think.

S - RD Value
1. Louis Delmas - 1/2
2. William Moore - 2
3. Rashad Johnson - 2
4. Patrick Chung - 2/3
5. Michael Hamlin - 3

Tough group to analyze but its hard to keep Moore at #2. He doesn't suit every scheme.

First off I want to say good work as there really isn't too much I really disagree with intensely.

The biggest difference in our defensive rankings happens to be my fairly high placement and your omission of Ohio Cornerback Mark Parson, who figures to be rising up boards following a very strong Pro Day on Thursday. The notable Combine snub was the obvious center of attention in Athens for NFL personnel as he drew in the 10-12 scout area.

At 5'9 186 running a 4.53 he does not figure to wow you with his size or timed speed (though he is very cut for a small stature.) He is very quick though (3.99 Short Shuttle), is adept in changing direction (6.67 3-Cone), has a quick, low backpedal, he's smooth and natural in his transitions, displays good hips shows a nice break on the ball when in the air, has better hands than I first expected, and has three years with some pretty impressive film.

I could see the Indianapolis Colts or Carolina Panthers give Parson a shot in the late 3rd Round. Both team, of course, were represented at OU's Pro Day.

Your Safety rankings are very good. I, personally, have LSU's Curtis Taylor a bit higher due to his natural athleticism, triangle numbers, experience against top competition, and a good post-season showing at the East-West Shrine Game in which he really looked the part. His game on the field has yet to truly match his physical talent and capabilities, so I can see why you aren't as high on him as some are.

I think you like this ILB class more than I do. I'm not sure anymore that Laurinaitis is that sure-fire first round pick we all seemed to think. He's still a good player, but he hasn't been overly impressive in workouts and his type of player (Posluszny, Connor) have fallen in recent years on draft day. Darry Beckwith is a solid all-around football player, but I think he may be a 3rd Rounder rather than 2nd. For that matter I have both Phillips, Ellerbe, Joseph and Worrell Williams a round or so lower than you do. For the upside that he does have, Josh Mauga seems a bit low in these rankings. These aren't large discrepancies at all, just slight disagreements.

At Outside Linebacker, I like Western Illinois' Jason Williams, Oregon State's Slade Norris, and Oregon's Nick Reed to be drafted in the mid-late rounds. Also, I'll go out on a real limb and say I think there is a better chance of Clint Sintim falling into the early portions of Round 3 than sneaking into the latter part of the first round. I also have Oregon State's Victor Butler noticeably higher. Good list though overall there at OLB.

Maurice Evans seems very high in your Defensive End list following his disappointing season, off the field trouble, small stature, and poor pre-draft workouts. I think he will be picked up due to his pass-rush potential, but I would expect him to have to receive that call after the draft's 255 picks on April 26th. I'm not sure I'm as high on Paul Kruger as you are. In a different light, I am a bit higher on David Veikune. Very good DE rankings as a whole though, just some slight disagreements.

The Defensive Tackle rankings are also very good. Mine, of course, are different, but that's life. Dorrell Scott figures to be moving up though after a very impressive showing at the Combine and could be drafted a round or two earlier than you have him listed at. I'm not quite as high on Vance Walker, who strikes me as a notable player that may surprise some by going undrafted, but that's instinct, not fact by any means. John Gill is a bit higher on my list and recently had a very good Pro Day workout. He is on the rise despite not being invited to the Combine. Don't sleep on Memphis DT Clinton McDonald who has absolutely exceptional quickness and explosiveness off the ball. He would fare best as a Tampa-2 DT.

Good work overall. Everyone will have slight disagreements, we'll all see come draft day.

I would say Chip Vaughn is probably 2/3 instead of 3/4
