so much talent. itll be interesting to see what happens with him. i think he has what it takes to be a player in this league in the right situation but at the same time hes heading fast in the direction of pac man.

Does he really have that much talent, though? His main skill last year in his best season wasn't making leaping catches or burning corners deep, it was catching a bunch of slant routes.

He's a shoo-in #3 on any team, perhaps a #2. That's it.

Oh I wasn't implying that he was a top 10-15 wr by any means. I just think he's shown flashes of strong potential. Let's be honest, how many Jag wrs have put up big numbers over the past few years. In the right situation I think he could easily by a long term #2 guy.

This man comes along with a psychologist and a probation officer.....keeep that in mind before you sign him..

So now the Jaguars offense consists of a lot of mediocre number 3/4 receivers, a slightly above average tight end, and Maurice Jones Drew. Sounds great.

Don't forget the average quarterback and a depleted offensive line.

That's racism! Innocent until proven guilty! The police clearly had it out for Jones!

....Oh, wait. you can't rely on those excuses in this case.

Leads me to question.

Who will pick him up (New England, Dallas, Oakland etc.)

And does this force the Jags to look at a WR with the 8th pick.

Mercedes Lewis is the man

Yeeeah, the Jags definitely have to consider a WR in the draft.

Why? I'd rather stick with the guys we currently have on the roster, plus we're likely targeting a receiver very early in the draft.

I understand we will probably adress wr but the guys on the roster are just speed guys, Jones can be a great red-zone threat

Rumors are already flying that Dallas is a possible location for him to land.

makes sense

the arkansas connection seems to be the biggest thing driving the rumors...but that would cause for yet another Jerry Jones lie...when he was quoted as saying we moved TO to let our younger WR's prove themselves...it'll be interesting.

I wouldnt be surprised if no one picks him up. He's been given plenty of chances. He's an idiot with major drinking and drug problems. Quincy Carter could use a cell mate.

Matt Jones can't wait until the season is over to snort a few lines, I don't know but that's not the type of guys I want to pick up...He should be way better then he is now but he doesn't care at all, I'd be willing to bet he's closer to 200 lbs right now.

I the rumors have substance, we just got rid of Pacman, if we were going to deal with all this crap we would of kept him around.
